11/05/2025: Personale gentilissimo, si sono impegnati al massimo per farci sentire a nostro agio. Non potendo assumere glutine mi hanno proposto alternative interessanti e si sono mostrati disponibilissimi e attentissimi. Grazie mille per il piacevolissimo pranzo.

01/05/2025: Familiar and welcoming environment, super super super staff and management. You eat in a divine way with unquestionable choice and quality. Mrs. Alessandra, owner of the place, managed to make me feel at home, with great kindness and empathy, rare availability and elegance. Rooms always tidy and clean, beautiful and welcoming. The staff in the dining room are fantastic, they always accompany the evening with a smile, attentive and very nice. Renowned for the management of illustrious figures, especially youth football teams, but also great footballers, who have always found it an obligatory stop for tournaments and spring preparations or for beautiful trips in the surrounding area. Beautiful hills, breathtaking views and sunsets, excellent food and super management, what more could you want? Highly recommended. Thank you for the fantastic stay and for your professionalism.. 30/04/2025: 5 Stars – Trust Paolo, Even Without the Wine My dad always told me, “You can always trust the bartender.” Tonight at Ristorante Cortefreda, that truth came to life through Paolo — even though we didn’t order a single drop of alcohol. Paolo, who happens to have a background in chemical engineering, was both our server and the restaurant’s bartender — and yet, he welcomed our choice to stick with black Americanos without even a hint of judgment. His grace, warmth, and professionalism were a masterclass in hospitality. What stood out most was his passion for the food. Every culinary recommendation he made was exceptional — thoughtful, balanced, and clearly rooted in deep knowledge and love for the cuisine. Paolo made us feel not just accommodated, but genuinely cared for. If you’re visiting Ristorante Cortefreda, trust Paolo. He’s proof that great service transcends the glass — and that sometimes, the best pairing for an unforgettable meal is simply kindness and good coffee.

16/02/2025: Come da titolo, ottimo ristorante. Come da tradizione, immancabile e in linea con la qualità tipica della regione, si apprezza soprattutto per i piatti e pietanze a base di carne. Buona anche la cantina. Assolutamente consigliato!

11/05/2025: Un ristorante che avevo frequentato altre volte. Cambiato tutto !! Persone diverse e maleducate, cibo insapore, mal presentato, con ritardi inspiegabili. Ordiniamo 2 primi uguali, il primo piatto arriva, del secondo non c'è traccia per almeno 30 minuti. Non l'abbiamo toccato e ci è stato fatto pagare lo stesso con modi arroganti, maleducati e minacciosi. Evitate questo posto, È diventato pessimo.

30/03/2025: La trattoria ha mantenuto la qualità degna della sua fama. Alcuni piatti sono veramente unici. La trippa alla fiorentina, il baccalà cassi, la minestra di pane sono superlativi, così come il crostino toscano. Il servizio è veloce e il personale molto gentile.

12/05/2025: Today with 8 other friends, stopped for lunch. Tables outside ok. They served us in the right way. Carbonated and natural mineral water. Bread. 8 small pieces of cheese and pepper and 1 pappardelle with wild boar. I don't know about the latter. I ate cheese and pepper. Well first of all TASTING portion 😱🤬. From the 5 star restaurant series, you understand right? Then the very sticky pici, the taste not very similar to cheese and pepper. Sporadic, sparsely scattered colors of pepper. Not a good dish from Tuscany place! Then everyone has a coffee. Total expense, which when divided was €15 each. The waiter asks who pays in cash and who pays by card. We look at each other and get up to go inside the cash register. Inside there is the request. We look at each other and everyone decides independently. Here's the beauty that comes. 7 of us pay in cash (be careful, I'm right in front of the cashier and witness all this), me and another of us pay with the debit card. And do you know the latest? He increases our spending by €0.50 and gives us a receipt of €15.50. We get angry, and they, or rather she replies that it is like that. And note carefully, those who paid in cash were not given a receipt. Well then, in addition to not eating well, they behave dishonestly since they do not invoice what they collect and also amortize the cost of the POS with a surcharge. 22/05/2025: Se siete in zona DOVETE VENIRE QUI. La cucina sempre di qualità e curata nei dettagli, così tutti i sensi sono appagati. L'ambiente elegante senza formalità è le sere d'estate, dove ovunque il caldo ti opprime, qui portati un golfino😉. Simone e il suo staff sono attenti e gentili con grande professionalità. Se amate la pizza croccante non perdetevi quella di Luis l'ortolana vi stupirà... le carote a fette sono fantastiche.Pappardelle al cinghiale un classico che non delude mai, lo Spaghettone al levistico è la curiosità che non ti aspetti e la ciccia regina dei loro secondi dà grandi soddisfazioni, non alzatevi dal tavolo se non vi danno una porzione del tiramisù di Asia è uno slurp Il prezzo è coerente con la qualità.

03/04/2025: 1pm. Particular place full of disused finds, but friendly, waitress with a beautiful voice. Ate ravioli with walnut cream (salted) Pasta all'arrabbiata hard as stone. Water container, a jar for Bormioli preserves. Slow and NOT professional service. Total cost 23 euros and change. Final surprise... The menu didn't say the cover charge of 4.00 euros. Miserable with paper placemat. Not at all satisfied. Totally not recommended. For the quality of the food, for the service for not having exposed the cover price. Rejected!

15/04/2025: Una Super Eccellenza del territorio 🔝 ....sono anni che frequento questo locale ed è sempre una grande conferma.. ..confermo la ricerca delle materie prime e la stagionalità dei loro piatti...ed è per questo che il loro Menù è sempre diverso (diffidate quando trovate un menu' lunghissimo..e soffermatevi a riflettere..)..Raffaele riesce ad esaltare i prodotti che utilizza al massimo sia nel gusto che alla vista (magari si aspetta 5 minuti in più ma perché i suoi piatti sono espressi)..in sala l'accoglienza è al top ed è affidata a Stefania (la titolare insieme a Raffaele)....sicuramente presto...riprendo la macchina mi faccio i miei 50 km...e vado a godere di queste leccornie...

31/03/2025: Non molta scelta nel menù ma piatti buoni, servizio pessimo con attese lunghe e disattenzioni per il cliente. Conto decisamente eccessivo. Peccato perché la location è carina.

04/06/2025: Recommended by our Airbnb host, this spot was a nice find. We reserved a couple of days ahead, and it quickly filled up—clearly a local favorite. We started with prosciutto and melon, and a zucchini frittata, followed by chittaroni with garlic, oil, and chili, & pennette chiantigiana style. For the main, we had a single steak in rib with a side salad. The appetizers and steak were the standouts. Overall, a good choice for a casual meal.

02/06/2025: Abbiamo pranzato in questo locale e che dire, abbiamo stravolto i nostri piani per tornarci anche la sera! Cucina toscana autentica, cortesia del personale e rapporto qualità/prezzo super. Hanno anche un menú interamente senza glutine, sempre ricco di specialità della zona. Il costo è davvero giusto. Infine menzione d’onore per la proprietaria: la sua cortesia e l’attenzione che riserva ai clienti e’ cosa rara da trovare! Davvero consigliato

11/04/2025: Menù quello che propongono ,ed io preferisco xchè secondo me più curato e fresco.Abbiamo assaggiato solo alcune portate,d'altronde non si può mangiare tutto. cucina tipica toscana tutto buono .Abbiamo preso vino della casa acqua un antipasto abbondante un primo 2 secondi un dolce e un caffè a meno 50 euro direi ottimo anche il prezzo.consiglio dolce della casa quello che c'era in questa serata era divino.

25/01/2025: Oramai è una tappa obbligata quando veniamo alle terme. Ottima cucina casalinga buono anche il servizio. Abbiamo mangiato i classici pici all’aglione, anatra e trippa tutto favoloso, come i dolci. Da consigliare

11/05/2025: La signora Angela è stata gentilissima e con la sua ospitalità anche se aveva pieno ci ha trovato una sala tutta per noi ( eravamo in 16..) Ottima qualità , veloce il servizio nonostante fosse pieno e conto allineato alle aspettative Consigliato!!

24/04/2025: Cibo buono e prezzi nella media. Un pò problematico trovarlo senza un navigatore. Non do 5 stelle perchè la proprietaria, a differenza delle cameriere, non brilla per empatia e vicinanza al cliente. Dopo essere stato 5 minuti fermo vicino la cassa (del bar) in attesa che posasse il telefono, lei mi guardava e non diceva nulla, pur sapendo che dovevo pagare il conto. Se non fosse stato per una cameriera che mi ha indicato un'altra cassa per pagare, sarei rimasto lì a seccare.

08/05/2025: Restaurant has a great terrasse which is inviting to a good glass of wine. The kitchen is not at the level of the location. The staff is very friendly but the kitchen is on my opinion not able to deliver the quality you can expect for this price.

26/04/2025: We tried the restaurant, or rather, we wanted to, but the service left a lot to be desired: at 7.15pm we ordered two aperitifs which arrived...at 8pm (with two peanuts and three olives on the cross). In the room, to say the least, perhaps 10 tables occupied, with over six waiters and a waitress complete with radio and FBI style earpiece. For heaven's sake, at VISTA everything is very professional, but unfortunately the thing remains there... Without considering that I received a "light peach" NEGRONI. Maybe foreign tourists drink them like this, but especially in Tuscany a Negroni (after 45 minutes) must be okay. Brought back to the counter personally (and waited another 15 minutes standing alone while "everyone" counted out another drink at the cash register). Last year we had dinner here in the summer and it wasn't bad, but perhaps management has changed. I don't want and can say anything about the cuisine but having worked in the sector for years I can allow myself to say that this is not acceptable. On the 15th of August one has to arrive at 5pm to have dinner. Maybe. Unfortunately it's a no and I'm giving it two stars because at least my wife's soft drink was decent. At least my second Negroni was red. Let's be satisfied.
