What can I say, a very nice village but the surprise was this family-run restaurant with welcoming people but the primary thing is the cuisine, divinely prepared food and excellent quality products. Highly recommended

Excellent food, abundant and amazing marinated anchovies appetizer; we wanted to repeat the first pappardelle with wild boar and acquacotta two evenings in a row.

Homemade tavern, typical and simple flavours.
We ordered a platter for two people, a plate of pici and a creme brulee. I found the pici and creme brulee quite good. But the highlight was the cutting board. Special! All excellent quality ingredients, both cheeses and cured meats!!!

We were there in the evening. Reservation necessary. Ate well/very well. Local specialities. Lots of local guests.
Eravamo la sera e dovevamo prenotare. Abbiamo mangiato piatti locali che erano buoni/molto buoni. C'era tanta gente del posto.

Appena fuori dal centro storico di Montemerano, è un bel locale tipico in cui si respira aria di Maremma.
Due cene in sequenza,cosa per noi rara, testimonia la qualità del cibo.
Ottimi i primi come la pappardelle al sugo di cinghiale, l’acqua cotta tipica della Maremma e i pici all’agliata.
Notevole il cinghiale con cottura tipica, come le trippe alla Montemerano.
Millesfoglie da provare.
Vino della casa buono e molto curata la carta.
Ottima anche la accoglienza del proprietario che ha la tipica verace simpatia e schiettezza toscana.
Da venire senza indugi.

The best of Tuscan cuisine.... the restaurant is truly charming as is the welcome.
The dishes are excellent and the bill very affordable. I highly recommend this address.

toscana in un piatto
Nel bel mezzo di Montemerano troviamo questo ristorante dove la tradizione toscana la fa da padrona. Chianina, cinghiale, fiorentina, trippa...taglieri tipici goduriosi solo a guardarli! I pici all'aglione, la cui pasta è rigorosamente fatta in casa, regala ricordi d'infanzia grazie alla fattura di per se imprecisa ma che proprio per questo ci piace così tanto. La nonna probabilmente li avrebbe fatti cosi.
Una piccola pecca sulla velocità del servizio tra i primi e i secondi, ma va precisato che il locale era pieno.
Doveroso tornare per poter assaggiare anche altri piatti
