16/12/2025: We ordered pizza: Parmigiana Margherita and Capricciosa. All were delicious and well-seasoned. There's no cover charge, but there's a 15% service charge, so the more you spend, the more you pay.

07/03/2026: Great place to stop at Castelomora. Wife had rigatonni with sausage. Was very good. I had the cuberoll di scattona con palate. Cooked very good and had a red onion basil olive oil sauce. Excellent meal. Service is good and view is beautiful from up this high on the mountain top. Highly recommend if in Castelomola.

03/11/2025: A charming place, with a beautiful panoramic view, which makes everything romantic and stunning. The food is excellent, the dishes have immense flavor and are cooked and presented with great care. The entire staff is professional, kind, and attentive to the guests and their needs. The place is also super clean, which in my opinion highlights all the positive aspects of this place even more. Highly recommended.

18/11/2025: Such a letdown! This place was highly recommended, but I failed to see why. We ordered the meal of the day (pistachio pasta), and it took over an hour to get it despite the restaurant not being busy. The pasta was completely bland, too soggy, and I found crushed pistachio shelves in my dish. The shrimp in the pasta was overcooked and tiny. With such prices (26€ for the pasta dish) I expected much better. The waiter also brought the wrong wine - it wouldn't have been an issue, but with such bad food and the long wait, it added to the negative experience. The only positive thing was the bread and the olive oil - it was superb. But overall, it was not a good experience.

13/02/2026: A welcoming restaurant just steps from the Teatro Massimo. The dishes are tasty and plentiful. In addition to what we ordered, the manager offered us samples of typical Palermo cuisine. The staff were polite and friendly.

03/10/2025: We followed the Routard's advice. The restaurant is now called Aurora, and we understand that there's a continuity with the previous one. In any case, the comments still apply: it's very good, fresh, and fairly priced. We really enjoyed the bruschetta with fish and shrimp tartare, then the spaghetti alla vongole (delicious sauce!) and the pasta with tuna and bottarga. Several of the guests were island residents, which is a very good sign. Friendly service. Thank you very much!

18/09/2025: I ordered a portion of tuna with sweet and sour sauce. The portion was quite small, the sauce excellent - I had to wait for the bread that the staff forgot to bring; the tuna did not seem fresh...

04/02/2026: We went to this restaurant and had a terrible experience. The carbonara was inedible: clearly no cheese, just egg thrown over the pasta, completely curdled, like an omelette, and completely tasteless. It was anything but carbonara. As if that weren't enough, we found insects on our plate in the seafood pasta. This was a very serious matter. When we reported it, the owner responded rudely, arrogantly, and presumptuously, even accusing us of putting flies on our plate and claiming that the carbonara was "made according to the rules" (if that's the rule, then yes... it was an omelette). Furthermore, the prices were exorbitantly high for this extremely poor quality. Zero professionalism, zero respect for the customer, and the food was terrible. Absolutely avoid.

04/03/2026: I don't understand why some restaurants get negative reviews. Buatta made me feel very welcome on both of my visits. Aside from the excellent food, I'd like to commend the hosts on both evenings. They were incredibly friendly and attentive, with a hands-on approach. I really appreciated that. The heart of any restaurant is always the kitchen, and they did a fantastic job. The appetizers—Focaccia "Sfincione," Caponata, Fish Sausage, Anelletti with Meat Ragout, Handmade Ravioli, and the Sardines "a Beccafico"—were all absolutely delicious. For dessert, be sure to try the Almond Parfait "Noto" or the Cassata. Unfortunately, they don't have a house wine, but the wine available by the glass is also very well-made, delicious, and reasonably priced. Thank you, dear Buatta team, for the wonderful evenings and the excellent service. Keep up the great work!

15/03/2026: A genuine trattoria in one of the most beautiful villages in the Hyblaean Mountains. The Formica brothers have divided the duties since opening: Pippo takes care of the dining room, explaining the dishes Sebastiano prepares in the kitchen, featuring a generous use of wild vegetables, unique cuts of meat like lattuchedda, and delicious tripe. The pappardelle with mountain truffles, bianchetto, and scorzone are unmissable.

07/03/2026: A trattoria serving authentic, traditional dishes, cooked to perfection. I don't recommend the local wine. The atmosphere is welcoming. Highly recommended.

02/11/2025: Nothing that would entice me to return. I was hoping it wasn't a touristy place, but other than the beautiful setting, everything was adequate. I don't know if there's anything better in Castiglione, but I wouldn't return here.

14/09/2025: While on vacation in Sicily, we saw this restaurant along the road to Modica. The sign says "traditional cuisine," so we stopped in. It was a great experience. We returned every night we were in Modica. We took their advice and tried a few different dishes, including the pizza. All the food was excellent. The owners are friendly, kind, and attentive to their customers. We had a great time. They also gave us advice on what to try and see in Modica. Well done, keep up the good work. 30/01/2026: I often go to Don Turiddu 2. Good ingredients and very reasonable prices. The service is always top-notch. I would suggest adding a homemade dessert to the menu (such as tiramisu) and revising some of the less-than-perfect details of the location, if possible. It's still a place I absolutely recommend.

26/10/2025: We stopped for lunch, and even though it was late, they happily gave us a table. The menu features dishes based on the catch of the day, excellent quality, and very reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

15/02/2026: I never intended to go this far, but I have to, out of respect for myself and the customers who will come after me. Valentine's Day. A few days before, I booked a table for two through the website, specifying that my girlfriend was celiac. I should point out that my girlfriend is a regular customer and that only the previous year she celebrated two important events at Da Vittorio. That said, the owner confirmed the reservation. The same morning, I called to extend the time, and he still said it was fine. That evening, we arrived about 15 minutes late due to bad weather. The waiters seated us and, after more than half an hour, came to the table to place our orders, apologizing for the wait. We understood the situation and responded with a smile, telling us not to worry. We ordered a bottle of wine, some appetizers, a gluten-free first course, and a "normal" first course. Shortly afterward, a waitress returned, telling us that they couldn't prepare any gluten-free first courses, claiming they didn't have any gluten-free pasta. At that point, I told the waitress that I had specified in the reservation notes but not to worry and that we would only be eating the appetizers. Shortly afterward, another waiter approached, apologizing for the inconvenience and telling us that they had resolved the issue and would be making the first course gluten-free. Only after we had consumed the appetizers, another 30 minutes later and for a total of an hour after our arrival, did a third waitress (the owner) approach us. She immediately became loud and rude, attracting the attention of the diners seated near our table. She told us that the chef wouldn't be making the gluten-free pasta due to the time, implying that it was our fault for being late (15 minutes past our reservation time) despite it being 10:15 PM and the restaurant being packed, and that we should go to the chef ourselves to convince him to make the first course gluten-free. At that point, my girlfriend decided to go to the chef to ask for an explanation, and he apologized for the incident, specifying that, due to the crowd, he couldn't guarantee the safety of the gluten-free dish, but that he would have cooked it if we had been willing to wait a little longer. The first courses arrived around 11:15 PM. To avoid further aggravation, I concluded by suggesting that the owner be more courteous towards the customers who choose to dine at your restaurant. This will be my last visit.

30/12/2025: The food was very tasty and beautifully presented, but unfortunately, on a day like August 15th, it was total chaos. They should have been prepared for many guests; they couldn't serve lemons with the fish at lunchtime because there weren't any left, or they ran out of cola and other drinks, and in my opinion, the restaurant wasn't even overcrowded.
