03/07/2026: Interminable wait. Flavorless dishes. Prices unjustified by the mediocrity of the dishes. We spent too much for two disappointing main courses, a glass of wine, and a mineral water. The restaurant's quality has definitely declined. I never would have expected this.

18/08/2026: We were there last night.....the girl who showed us the place and accompanied us was very delicious.....the food mixed appetizer of raw sardines bad color and taste.....mixed fried fish....it was rubbery it seemed reheated here too the fried sardines inedible.....dirty prawns....the waiters very attentive to offer you their services.....but indifferent when you leave the food on the plates....so they don't ask why... ......anyway never again...

15/08/2026: Thanks to Mary for recommending lunch here... I had lunch with my family and we chose the tourist menu, the meat one for €15 and the fish one for €20. We ate really well... Highly recommended...

16/08/2026: Truly terrible service. They completely forgot one of the dishes we ordered, and no one seemed to care. After pointing it out, the dish arrived quickly, poorly prepared, and even undercooked. No attention to the customer and no professionalism. A truly unpleasant and disappointing experience. We will never return.

11/08/2026: We returned to this place after not being there for many years. My memory of it was excellent, and I must say we weren't disappointed at all; in fact, perhaps even better than I remembered. We chose the tasting menu with starters and no main courses. The appetizers were exceptional, the fish was very fresh, and the two starters were fabulous. The dessert was also perfect, finishing off an excellent lunch. The waiter was very kind and welcoming. The price was more than fair for the quality of the food.

10/07/2026: What an incredible stay! This is without question one of the best hotels we’ve stayed at in Italy. From the moment we arrived, the front desk team made us feel genuinely welcome. Every single staff member was kind, warm, and incredibly friendly. Anytime we had a question or needed assistance, they were happy to help with a smile. It never felt like we were inconveniencing anyone, they truly cared about making our stay exceptional, and that level of hospitality is something you don’t forget. Our room was spacious, spotless, and beautifully maintained. The bed was extremely comfortable, the pillows were perfect, and the updated bathroom was modern and well designed. Breakfast was another highlight. You can choose from a generous buffet or order from the à la carte menu, and everything we tried was fresh, delicious, and served surprisingly quickly. The location couldn’t be better. It’s within easy walking distance of everything Ortigia has to offer, making it the perfect base for exploring the city. Yes, this hotel is on the expensive side, but after our experience, we can honestly say it was worth every penny. Outstanding service, beautiful accommodations, an unbeatable location, and a team that truly goes above and beyond. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Ortigia.

15/08/2026: We were recommended by the concierge at our hotel to go to dinner at Proverbio and I must say it was excellent advice. We dined there three consecutive evenings. The staff was excellent and the pasta carbonara was a real delight. If we return to Palermo, we will definitely return.

08/06/2026: After a long walk with my family, we stumbled upon this trattoria at lunchtime. Given the time, we went in. The menu immediately looked inviting, and the prices were affordable. We were very satisfied. A special mention goes to the raw fish. But the dishes we truly loved were the tuna with crispy onion (perfectly cooked) and the penne with swordfish and eggplant (never tasted so good). We'll definitely return to savor the flavor and atmosphere of authentic cuisine.

02/06/2026: By chance, on a street in the historic center of Catania, I met a very distinguished gentleman named Gioacchino. I asked if he could recommend a restaurant where the food was good. He was so kind and friendly, and he recommended Trattoria da Don Turiddu 2. I highly recommend it. We ate super well, with fresh fish and impeccable service. It's family-run, and they're very kind and friendly. I highly recommend it.
