I returned for a (delicious) pizza under the moonlight with the sea in front. What more could you ask for? 13/05/2025: Siamo tornati dopo qualche anno in questo ristorantino nel centro storico di Taormina (fra il corso principale e il duomo) e tutto ha confermato l’ottima impressione avuta in precedenza. Abbiamo mangiato dei ravioli con ricotta e crema di pistacchi e degli gnocchi con pesto e gamberoni. Poi abbiamo diviso del calamaro gratinato con panatura e verdure. Tutto ottimo. Il locale è dotato di un delizioso giardinetto e di un balconcino più riparato con due tavoli. Prezzo assolutamente nella norma. La gestione è a carattere familiare con personale gentile e cordiale. Torneremo senz’altro.

07/04/2025: Lugar tranquilo justo detrás del duomo bajando unos escalones. Recomendado por el hotel. Acogedor lugar familiar, comida siciliana. Albóndigas y carne muy buena. Ravioli estaba bien. Los bandos eran generosos.

14/10/2025: Terrible experience, but the views were breathtaking. The waiter was very attentive, and the owner or manager is the perfect person to keep customers from coming back… of course, being a tourist town with no regular clientele, he couldn't care less… and the person sitting next to him at the register is just another piece of furniture that looks out of place in the restaurant. Politeness and customer-facing work are a far cry from them. Typical of a business that likes to take advantage of tourism.

03/10/2025: We followed the Routard's advice. The restaurant is now called Aurora, and we understand that there's a continuity with the previous one. In any case, the comments still apply: it's very good, fresh, and fairly priced. We really enjoyed the bruschetta with fish and shrimp tartare, then the spaghetti alla vongole (delicious sauce!) and the pasta with tuna and bottarga. Several of the guests were island residents, which is a very good sign. Friendly service. Thank you very much!

18/09/2025: I ordered a portion of tuna with sweet and sour sauce. The portion was quite small, the sauce excellent - I had to wait for the bread that the staff forgot to bring; the tuna did not seem fresh...

08/12/2025: Cavaliere Formica never disappoints... his brother Chef is getting better and better... the tagliatelle del bosco, my favorite dish, is always better, the loaf with cheese and mushrooms is amazing... starters, desserts, and everything else is always top notch!!!

02/11/2025: I had the pleasure of dining at this trattoria last night and I have to say it was a fantastic experience! The owner was super kind and helpful, making us feel at ease right away. Sebastiano's service was impeccable, with attention to detail and a genuine smile. The dishes were delicious, prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. I highly recommend trying it!!! 02/11/2025: I went here since I thought it was the same place as the 5* place around the corner with the same name, but it sure isn't. This pizza was horrendous. I hadn't eaten a proper meal the whole day so I was hungry and anxious for this, but after a slice the only taste I had was fat, slimy cheese and I couldn't get rid of the taste either. I ate more slices, trying to give it a real chance and see if I could find any good in it. It couldn't. I never leave reviews on restaurants and I really didn't want to now either, but I have to warn others about this place. Don't buy pizzas from here. I was so hungry, but I couldn't stomach more than half of it, the rest went into the trash bin, still hungry. Way too much cheese and it all tasted and felt like rubber. Worst pizza I've had in many years. Get better.

29/11/2025: I've been to this osteria and I have to say that overall the food is really good: carefully prepared dishes, authentic flavors, everything is super enjoyable. The only thing that didn't convince me a little were the swordfish rolls, which weren't exactly the best... Otherwise, the service was superb: fast, friendly, and stress-free. A special thanks to Marco, who was immediately available and extremely attentive to our requests.

03/10/2025: A truly special place to escape the summer chaos (depending on your tastes). Kilometers of beach, a Blue Flag sea awarded in 2024, an oasis for rejuvenation. The restaurant offers excellent seafood cuisine.

03/10/2025: Great location! Right on the beach, incredible views, and a virtually private beach. The rooms are beautiful, comfortable, and super clean! The service could definitely be friendlier, but the ocean view and the tranquility made up for it ;-) Dinner was good, and the breakfast was a very pleasant surprise!

01/11/2025: Today I had 2 arancini, a pizza and a roll with sausage, in the tray with the 2 arancini I found a hair, the roll with sausage was disgusting, the sauce of the pizza was acidic, practically disgusting, never again

18/05/2025: Panino con panelle mangiato a Piazza Indipendenza Panino 🍔 ridotto di quantità sembrava un bocconcino della sfornata di mattina anche lui ha attuato la Shrinkflation . Da palermitano delusione.

01/07/2025: Restaurante informal en el paseo marítimo. El camarero era amable y la comida resultó mucho mejor de lo esperado para el lugar super ocupado en el agua. Pizza Siracusiana era deliciosa, corteza fina muy fresca con aceitunas, tomates secados al sol y anchoas. Las sardinas a la parrilla eran excelentes con un toque de pesto en la parte inferior y con limón. Esta parecía una buena opción para una comida casual o una bebida el domingo por la noche con una hermosa vista al mar.

13/11/2025: My wife, I, and some friends went to Il Gabbiano restaurant. We had dinner with various seafood dishes, all rigorously fresh and carefully prepared. The staff was polite and well-prepared, and the owner, Vittorio, and his wife, were truly knowledgeable and very professional. When you're in Capo D'Orlando, go there. We highly recommend it. 17/06/2025: Teníamos grandes esperanzas para este restaurante, pero nos fuimos sintiéndonos decepcionados. Si bien el personal era amable y atento, los platos carecían de variedad de sabor, todo sabía bastante similar, a pesar de que se utilizaban diferentes tipos de pescado. Otra decepción fue el enfoque de servicio: cada elección que hicimos se encontró con el mismo genérico “¡Gran elección!” sin ninguna recomendación real o información sobre el menú. El escenario es simple y sin pretensiones, lo cual no nos importa, pero la factura final se sintió empinada considerando la calidad y creatividad de la comida. En comparación con otros restaurantes de la zona, que son más refinados y cuidadosos en cada detalle, este no estuvo a la altura.

Lei cortese, precisa, professionale ha il polso della serata, aleggiando tra gli ospiti con precisione femminile. Lui, un Poseidone uscito dal mare nuota tra le onde della cucina, rimestando e definendo le prelibatezze che lo hanno ispirato, e il vintage dei tavoli che raccontano di domeniche in famiglia, di legami fatti di sangue e sudore, sensazioni, pensieri, ricordi, insomma un racconto, di cibo e non solo. È la storia di una persona, un popolo, una terra, come la Sicilia che, più di tante altre, merita di essere narrata. Il menù è attraente, identitario. Leggi le portate e intuisci che farai un viaggio. Potrai attraversare la Sicilia da Palermo a Trapani fino a Siracusa e non ti pentirai della scelta fatta. Bucatini alla palermitana profumati di acciughe, mascolino, pinoli, uvetta di corinto, zafferano e pangrattato tostato. Linguine al pecorino profumate al limone con mascolino, zafferano e pangrattato tostato. Busiate artigianali con ciliegino e gambero rosso con mandorle tostate e pangrattato. Involtini di melanzane con luna piena al tartufo ibleo, pomodorino pachino confit, canestrato ragusano. Grazie da "i fratelli di Napoli"

30/11/2025: A traditional restaurant serving traditional dishes. Everything is well done. The only drawback is that reservations aren't possible, but if you call, they'll make you believe it's possible. In reality, it's a first-come, first-served basis. Fast and accurate service.

29/11/2025: While waiting for the table we were pampered by the friendly staff with good red and white wine and delicious fried croquettes, offered by them.
