08/01/2026: Dear restaurant manager, I sincerely congratulate you! I'll briefly explain the situation. Reservations were made by phone before Christmas around December 20, 2025, for a reservation for January 6, 2026, at 1:00 PM. There were 8 people, two 2-year-old children, and a newborn. We called back on January 5, 2026, to reconfirm everything. Today, January 6, 2026, we entered the restaurant, providing the surname. They told me that there was no reservation for that surname. Your dear employees, in particular, one who was quite elderly, even allowed himself to speak in a low voice to another colleague, using some rather harsh words. This is a situation that deserves great professionalism. We were left outside in the rain, which was quite heavy, with a newborn...! I wanted to remind you, dear sir or madam, that even if the food in your restaurant is good, first and foremost, it requires professionalism, which you don't have!

15/03/2026: I went to lunch at La Polena restaurant with high expectations, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The food wasn't particularly well-crafted, and the menu selection was rather limited. Considering the price, I definitely expected better quality and attention to detail in the dishes. It's a real shame, because the staff was very kind and helpful throughout the service, which was certainly the highlight of the experience. I hope the restaurant can improve its offerings and the attention to detail in its dishes, because so far, the value for money hasn't lived up to expectations.

24/02/2026: We had lunch at La Polena based on a recommendation we received upon arrival, and it turned out to be a perfect choice. From the moment you arrive, you sense the attention and care they give, with small, much-appreciated gifts that kick off the experience in the best possible way. Fresh seafood dishes, beautifully balanced and cooked with authentic, well-presented flavors. Impeccable, courteous service, always available to explain every offering. Stunning views of the Aci Trezza sea, a relaxing atmosphere, and excellent value. A place definitely worth a visit!

14/03/2026: Disgusting food and arrogant service. Avoid! A complete disaster. The seafood was not fresh and smelled fishy, especially the lobster pasta which was unbearable. The fish was so salty that it was literally inedible. On top of the terrible food, the service is appalling. The owner is extremely rude and treats customers with zero respect, lecturing us as if we were children. It is a classic tourist trap with low-quality ingredients and a toxic attitude. Save yourself the trouble and stay away!

12/03/2026: Terrible experience. We went on Tuesday with a couple of friends. We're from Catania and not on vacation. I should point out that my friend's husband ordered mussels, and my partner did as an appetizer. As soon as my friend's husband started eating the pasta with clams (which were full of sand), he started feeling sick. He came out and vomited. The owner thought it was high blood pressure, but it wasn't at all. By the time we paid and were walking to the car, my partner started feeling sick, too. He was vomiting and had diarrhea. At this point, the mussels weren't fresh! And they're still sick now. He should be thankful we didn't file a complaint! I strongly advise against it!

24/02/2026: Don't let the unassuming facade fool you; even the entrance area gives no hint of the fantastic food inside. We had made a reservation, which was definitely necessary. From the appetizer (bruschetta) to the main courses (risotto and filet), everything was truly perfect. Generous portions. Unfortunately, we didn't have room for dessert. The house wine is delicious. All in all, 5+ stars. The only thing that tops it is the price.

15/03/2026: We stopped by for lunch by chance. The atmosphere was lovely, well-kept, and welcoming. The staff were fantastic! Smiling and professional. The wait time was reasonable for the delicious food. I think the prices were very competitive; I would have raised some. We had a great time, kudos to the staff.
