A most welcoming atmosphere and exceptional cuisine! Their parmigiana is to die for and the pasta alla Norma is succulent! The owner treats you like a friend and manages his entire team brilliantly. The waiters are delightful and were incredibly kind, helping me find the right words in Italian despite the restaurant being very busy. Nothing is left to chance, the service is top-notch, and the bill was more than reasonable for such a delicious meal and such a friendly welcome. As a bonus, I was offered a small glass of homemade wild fennel brandy at the end of my meal. Thank you to the whole team and well done!

Literally best meal in Sicily we have had. Authentic and incredibly delicious local food, totally charming staff and owners who couldn't do enough for us, quirky and thoughtful decor. Great, go there!

Every time we stop by Ortigia, we can't help but be guests at the trattoria "La Foglia." Not only do we find our Peppe the sculptor with his wit and eloquence, but the entire team is courteous and professional. We believe they make the best caponata in eastern and western Sicily. The aromas of their dishes and their time-honored recipes with a touch of modernity are the essence of this trattoria. Now, their daughter has taken over the reins, successfully preserving that retro feel, yet full of new gems that will make her sweet mother, whom we remember fondly, proud. Entering this place is like being enveloped in a time-honored atmosphere, with its crocheted curtains, rosolio glasses, and antique cupboards with grandma's doilies! The price and quality are absolutely right. I recommend it to gourmets, not those in a hurry.
