17/06/2025: Fantastic, the best spaghetti with clams I've ever eaten, not to mention the mussels soute seasoned to perfection! Well done, you were a wonderful surprise, you will definitely be my regular stop on Mondays!

14/06/2025: The best restaurant here in the area: The food is good, the atmosphere from the staff is welcoming, the room is not noisy at all, and on days when there are fewer people it creates an almost family atmosphere. The portions of the first courses are abundant. In my case, who had to wait a bit for the gluten-free pasta to be cooked, they brought us an appetizer (offered by the house) to cheer up the wait. The raw fish is excellent, with fresh and quality fish (therefore by reservation).

23/06/2025: The service was very good, but we ordered porcini mushrooms, and the mushrooms they served weren't boletus, which is what they're supposed to be. They're button mushrooms and oyster mushrooms, which have nothing to do with the flavor. When a restaurant lies on the menu, it should be pointed out, and this was one of those occasions.

02/06/2025: NO VAYAS AQUÍ. Sigue caminando. El peor servicio de la historia y la comida muy cara - porciones pequeñas y por lo tanto caro. Sentados, no nos dijeron que no sirven pizza para el almuerzo (a pesar de que hay letreros y anuncios de pizza en todas partes y nada en el menú que diga lo contrario. Tuve que aclamar camarero cada vez que necesitaba algo: pedir bebidas, conseguir pan con nuestra comida (que debería haber salido al comer según la tarifa de 'pane coperta' de 2 €. Mi tripa estaba "bien", nada genial. La ensalada de alcachofas de Hubby era cruda, y se había oxidado y tan escasa. Por 11€... ¡dame un respiro! (¡Vea la foto!) No se parece en nada a las otras publicaciones, por lo que las porciones son inconsistentes. Nos cobraron dos veces por 1 refresco (no está bien) y luego conseguir esto... (! ) € 5 por uno doble - shot espresso! ! ! Cuando lo llamé la atención del camarero, me dijo: “¿Qué quieres pagar? Si quieres un café de £ 1, ve a pararte en el bar. » ***** En serio - EVITA******

10/06/2025: TL;DR: Plan your way back ahead! this is worth every effort! Don't miss it! They all speak perfect english. Rome was in absolute mayhem when we visited-Champions League madness, Circus Maxus closed, buses canceled, and massive protests blocking streets. After fighting through the chaos in a taxi to Via Appia Antica, we stepped into what felt like another world. The owner greeted us with warmth and humor, setting the tone for the evening. Unlike the hectic city center, the terrace was serene-it was just our table and one other-making it the perfect escape. Ignore any negative reviews claiming this place feels "artificial." The owner's passion is real, from the way he shares stories (like the history behind the ancient cheese spread) to how he happily accommodates special requests we both had. This isn't a tourist gimmick-it's a genuine love for reviving Rome's forgotten flavors and sharing his passion with the guests. The food? Extraordinary. The tomato-less lasagna (straight from Apicius' ancient recipes) was so good I wished I had another plate. Must-try: The ancient wine pairing-it elevates the whole experience. Sadly I orded it after the food. Every dish came with a tale, transporting us further back in time. As our last night in Rome, this wasn't just dinner to wrap things up-it was the perfect finale, a true cherry on top. We recommend the place to everyone that comes to rome and is interested in a little historical time travel. But i advice everyone to plan their way back in advance as it is far out and public transport tends to become unreliable towards midnight!

08/06/2025: This is the most adorable restaurant off the famous Via Appia Antica. The service was always with a smile and very friendly. The food was delicious and served hot. We had the place to ourselves on a Friday at lunch around 1pm. Don’t let the 150m walk down the driveway discourage you. Go, you will not be disappointed!

28/06/2025: We used to love this place but not anymore with the recent visit. I felt the staff was only trying to make us pay more, and the food quality was not the same as before. Unfortunate. Very disappointed. Will not come back again.

26/06/2025: We went to this place for dinner based on good reviews on TripAdvisor, but this time the good reviews turned out to be misleading. We didn’t like it. Not the atmosphere, not the service, not the food. We were disappointed. Our most unfortunate dinner choice in Rome.

The sore points are the "tourist" dishes and the extremely high prices. It's a shame for the Romans to have lost a historical landmark like this

04/06/2025: Questo posto è fuori di testa. Vedo 3000 recensioni e sono quantomeno strane... Ho mangiato qui perché la mia ragazza ma non sono rimasto sorpreso dal risultato. Le polpette all'amatriciana sono di pietra. Non puoi mangiarle. La carbonara è così salata e il guanciale sono quasi inesistenti. La mia ragazza ha pagato il conto e io le ho chiesto di stare guardarlo. Davvero pessimo e costoso. Impossibile. Ultimo ma non meno importante: i camerieri e il proprietario non sono pronti per questo lavoro, punto.
