20/08/2025: What a wonderful surprise. When you're visiting Rome, you usually expect a tourist restaurant. But no. Right next to the Basilica of San Giovanni, there's this osteria. The place isn't huge but it's well-designed, and the dishes are exceptional. Home-style cooking, tasty and plentiful. The service is friendly and welcoming. The prices are excellent. A truly wonderful place to eat well in the center of Rome.

14/08/2025: Ten of us went for lunch on May 15th. It was a special occasion for us, and we were surrounded by our family. The staff at Acino made us feel at home. Everyone ordered à la carte, and everyone was satisfied with the dishes, which revisited Roman tradition without overdoing it. We knew the place, and even though we hadn't been coming for a while, they treated us like old customers. We had brought our own gluten-free cake, and they served it with all the attention, as if it were their own product. I'm writing this review a little late, but I recommend this restaurant primarily for the service and the location, one of the most beautiful squares in Garbatella. The quality/price ratio is fair, and you can eat and drink happily.

29/08/2025: We stopped here for lunch on our way to the Colosseum. The food was excellent and the staff and owner were very friendly. We will definitely make a point to come back the next time we’re in Rome.

28/04/2025: A nice surprise in Via del Mandrione: the family that runs it is very friendly, especially Mrs Francesca. The dishes taken demonstrated how taste and style can be combined with popular Roman tradition. Their tiramisu was much appreciated by everyone, fair prices. To return.

17/08/2025: It's my first time sitting down and looking at the menu when I just want to take out a single pizza. The pizza is also really delicious. Diavolo? Diavolo is perfect if you like it a little spicy. ㅎ They let me sit down and look at the menu when I just want to take out a single pizza. Very friendly and no coperto woooowww 😀😃🙂

16/08/2025: A positive experience worth trying!! The quality of the ingredients was excellent and the dishes were well-prepared. The service was excellent; the waiters were kind and courteous. The prices were fair. The restaurant is located 5 minutes from St. Peter's Basilica, and is welcoming and clean.

07/09/2025: This restaurant perfectly represents traditional Roman cuisine, with dishes prepared with meticulous care and top-quality ingredients. The carbonara is simply perfect, perfectly creamy and authentic in flavor. Among the first courses, the tagliolini with truffle deserves a special mention: delicate and fragrant. Also worth trying are the saltimbocca alla romana, the tuna tartar, the fried vegetables, and everything else on the menu! The desserts are also impressive: the orange cake is soft and fragrant, while the crema catalana is captivating with its creaminess and crunchy caramelized sugar crust. The service is extremely kind and attentive, always ready to offer advice with a smile, and the atmosphere is welcoming, meticulously crafted, and full of atmosphere. A place that combines tradition and flavor, perfect for both a special dinner and a lunch with friends. Highly recommended!

06/09/2025: We stumbled upon the restaurant by accident, but it turned out to be one of the best experiences of our trip! Fast, friendly, and kind service. The atmosphere was incredible, with live music and a beautifully kept environment. The dishes were plentiful, tasty, and fresh, and the drinks were excellent. I would gladly go back anytime! A true little Italian gem.

05/09/2025: The food was good, we ordered the beef. The mix salad was a bit pale, it was only lectuse, ruccola with tomato. The tiramisu was really really good! The waiter was kindly.

24/07/2025: Dear Roman friends took us here for dinner in 2017. One of the top ten meals of my life! I have to assume the service was excellent, because our friend Fabrizio was on top of it with our server, LOL. I speak a fair amount of Italian, but their conversation was too quick and full of Roman dialect for me to follow! We had so many amazing options for primi piatti, we couldn’t order a secondo, we were too full! Everything was fantastic, what an amazing evening!!!

27/08/2025: Wonderful boiled meatballs and giant homemade ice cream ravioli with a unique flavor! I only took photos of the desserts because the main courses were on the table for no more than 5 minutes.

21/08/2025: Everything was impeccable. I was the only table that wasn’t Italian that evening. You can taste the authenticity in the food and wine. The owners don’t even speak English though (for better and worse), so it’s hard to reserve a table and communicate with them, but damn, the food was good. The waiters were great. They don’t take notes and forgot half my order, but they were charming, and the wait wasn’t long. Thoughts on low reviews: I also didn’t make a reservation, but I showed up just as they opened, and they allowed me to stay. Within an hour, the whole place was packed and people were lining up. So please ignore all the low reviews that are upset about not getting a table. The staff know exactly what’s going on.

03/08/2025: Una maravilla. Una atención de 10. Nuestro camarero, Renzo, habla español a la perfección y ha estado atento a cada una de nuestras necesidades. Pasta sin gluten excepcional, muy buena la carne al 34 con queso y puerro. Y brutal el tiramisú. Espectacular. Una velada muy entretenida. Gracias.

28/07/2025: We were greeted by a very friendly waiter who pointed us to the best dishes and the food was superb. We had the trionfo di carciofi as a starter and I had the saltimbocca alla romana as a main. Everything was excellent. We regularly go to this restaurant when we are in Rome and we have never been disappointed.
