18/03/2026: I've known Marco and his restaurant since it opened in November 2006. My first visit was in early 2007, when the place had just opened. And I liked it immediately. You know what? You immediately got the impression that they wanted to "do things right." And they have always succeeded. Today, the restaurant has changed a lot since its inception. The desire and the ability, ever greater and more evident, to do things to the best of their ability remain. In this sense, the recent "acquisition" of chef Francesco represented another huge step forward. The astro parmigiana is wonderful, the lamb brodettato is fantastic, the Willy Wonka chocolate dessert is legendary... And there's certainly so much more to enjoy and fall in love with... Thank you! 12/03/2026: I came to dine at this historic restaurant, well known to true Romans and certainly not unknown to those familiar with the city. The atmosphere is authentically Roman, as demonstrated by the largely local clientele, a fact no longer a given given its central location, where it's almost inevitable to run into many foreign visitors. In this regard, I must say that I found the ambience pleasant and evocative. Unfortunately, I can't express the same opinion regarding the cuisine I sampled. I understand that a restaurant with a certain reputation must maintain rather intense service and preparation schedules; however, precisely because of the place's reputation, I would have expected the cuisine to be more carefully prepared and crafted. I started with fried zucchini flowers: just from the smell, I got the impression that the oil used wasn't in the best condition, with a rather noticeable rancid note. I still wonder how I managed to eat them all; in hindsight, I don't think it was a good choice, considering the nausea that woke me up during the night. I also tried some amatriciana from a fellow diner's plate. The fact that it was served alongside the appetizers, just minutes after ordering, made me immediately suspect pre-cooked pasta, an impression that was unfortunately confirmed upon tasting. The guanciale also seemed almost boiled, and the sauce was rather watery. Next, I ordered oxtail stew, which I must say was quite disappointing. The sauce wasn't thick enough, and the meat didn't fall off the bone with the tenderness this dish requires; on the contrary, I had to struggle to separate it, a sign that it probably hadn't been cooked properly. It's a shame, because the underlying flavor still showed signs of good potential. In conclusion, the dining experience didn't live up to expectations. However, I'd like to emphasize that the service and ambiance were absolutely respectable, and the restaurant continues to be very popular. Precisely for this reason, I believe that with greater attention to the preparation and quality of the dishes it could be even more appreciated than it already is.

21/03/2026: The best pizza, the best service, and the best atmosphere I've ever experienced in Rome! After visiting this place, I've been going there whenever possible.

13/03/2026: We received a very warm welcome at this neighborhood restaurant, whose walls are a bit cluttered with various paintings for sale. The waitress was very pleasant and efficient. There were seven of us in this dining room with about twenty seats, and we were served quickly, all homemade dishes. The eggplant croquettes, risotto, and tiramisu were excellent, with regulars coming and going. The prices are very reasonable compared to the historic center (as you'd expect in this neighborhood). Very good.

13/03/2026: Excellent value for money. The food reflects Roman cuisine, abundant and delicious. Francesca and the entire staff are friendly and make you feel at home. It's now a must-visit every time I'm in Rome.

09/03/2026: Beautiful atmosphere, typical of Rome's Trastevere district. The menu is varied, although the quality wasn't what I expected. Very good service.

15/03/2026: Disappointed because it didn't live up to the very good Google rating. We chose it, among other things, for its authentic decor, but we found ourselves in a room that wasn't. The bread basket arrived with an open and empty packet of breadsticks. How many tables saw that basket? The food was uninteresting, except for the quantity... but not the quality. The servers' friendliness can't make up for everything.

14/09/2025: We chose the restaurant last minute based on Google reviews: excellent choice!!! Perfect Roman cuisine! The carbonara, chicory, and zucchini flowers were perfect. The atmosphere was casual and the prices reasonable.

23/03/2026: When in Rome, I like to have tripp alla Romana. This place has it. On this occasion however, I had another favorite, abbachio. Also excellent here.

15/03/2026: Very good food and service. The fried items were excellent! Artichokes, Salt Cod and Calamari were cooked perfectly. Also had the Orechiette with broccoli which was good. No room for dessert so I'll have to go back. Very nice place and reasonably priced. I will definitely go back in my next visit to Rome.

15/03/2026: The welcome was nonexistent, anything but welcome. The service was also nonexistent; we waited half an hour for our pizza, then another half hour with an empty plate in front of us. Thank you very much.... Without anyone from the service team bothering to ask, "How are you?" Prices are above average. A €9 pizza will set you back €14. And if it's really fiordilatte, it's poor quality. And if it's the leavening, it's not. And if it's the ingredients or the quantity, nothing special, and you're only looking at four things on a pizza. We left with this thought: "We would have done better to eat dinner at home."

12/03/2026: Very welcoming place, professional staff, excellent food. I never know what to choose from the menu. Very well-stocked wine list. I absolutely recommend it.

16/03/2026: Had lunch here on our travels through Rome last week. Its near St. Peter's Basilica for anyone looking to enjoy a deliciously cooked meal away from the beaten path. Service was wonderful. I shared the porchetta with my son and had the carbonara. My son loved his pizza. I appreciated how quaint it was on a rainy day, for food and service, this place is excellent.

05/04/2026: The location is excellent, right in the city center. The staff is quite friendly. The only problem is that the pasta was a little too salty, and the pizza seemed frozen. The flavor could be better.
