Osteria Antichi Sapori da Leo In Roma

Probably one of the best hidden gems that we stumbled upon in Rome. The food is absolutely fantastic. The portion sizes could be improved slightly, but the taste and quality of the ingredients make up for this. The staff made us feel at home and we had a delightful dinner. Starting off with a salad, the chicken cacciatore, cicoria and a tiramisu. Would definitely recommend this restaurant if you’re in the area and in the mood for a cozy homey meal.

I was seduced by the specials board into ordering the spaghetti con vongole, which was unpriced and maybe colours my whole experience/ review. My mistake. They found me a table on a busy Saturday night and my greetings and service was warm and friendly. They seem only to serve wine as a 1 litre which seems to miss a trick. Antipasta was pleasant enough. And the second plate, ok if a little oily. For the spaghetti it came swimming in olive oil with few fairly small clams, a fair number of which were unopened. Overall very tasteless and a poor dish for which I was charged €19. The cost of the spaghetti pushed the whole meal into a different price bracket and left me feeling it was overall poor and bad value for money.

Discovered almost by chance, this Roman trattoria turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Very close to the Baldo degli Ubaldi metro stop, in the Aurelia district. A trattoria a little different from the others, starting with the owner, Leo, who with his friendliness and his ways of doing things will make you feel "at home". The cuisine, as mentioned above, is based on typical Roman dishes, one better than the other. The fried foods are done to perfection. They are not greasy and do not remain heavy to digest. Spaghetti with lupine clams is also one of the dishes to try. Unlike other places, Leo hasn't gotten carried away and hasn't tripled the cost of his dishes, remaining quite cheap, and this is another point in his favor. The friendliness and cheerfulness of Leo and his staff will eventually become engaging. The room. It seems small, with little space, but in reality there is space and tables, and if that's not enough there is also a second room. The walls are covered with paintings, posters and various objects, and each object has an sentimental value but also a small price. So if you like something, you can buy it because "Leo will sell it to you...!!!!". Open for both lunch and dinner. I suggest booking depending on how many you are but remember that "Leo rests on Sundays". Greetings to all the staff.

Da Livorno Sono giunto a Roma Locale Caldo ed Accogliente Ottima la Cucina Giusti i Prezzi 33 Anni di Esperienza Si vedono Eccome ! ! !

Piccola e storica trattoria a gestione alimentari, pochissimi i coperti, tavoli molto vicini tra loro che però conferiscono un'ambientazione positivamente "popolare". Propongono un menù al prezzo fisso piuttosto vario, basato su piatti della tradizione romana e non, è tutto gestito "alla mano" come deve essere in locali di questa tipologia. i piatti sono cucinati discretamente ma ovviamente, anche per la questione dei prezzi molto bassi, non si ci si può aspettare di più. Il locale comunque è un'ottima scelta per chi vuole spendere veramente molto poco e mangiare abbondantemente. Al tavolo si è ordinato, amatriciana, bombolotti alla norcina, e gnocchi (industriali) pomodoro e basilico, pollo alla cacciatora, cotoletta (industriale e congelata) e spezzatino con patate, come già detto la cucina è semplice e discretamente cucinata, il rapporto qualità prezzo però è positivo.
