22/05/2025: I had been wanting to try this restaurant for a long time, always seeing it full, at lunch and dinner, every time I passed by. I can confirm that its reputation as an excellent Roman trattoria is well deserved. I ate very well, without waiting too long between courses, and I had a great time. The food was excellent and genuine, the portions generous. We ordered fried anchovies, rabbit cacciatore and 2 side dishes. Next time I will try the first courses. I highly recommend it.

19/05/2025: We had two completely opposite experiences : we thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food, but were left with a bad impression due to the waiter’s arrogance.

24/05/2025: We ordered three dishes, only one was brought out, and we waited 35 minutes, having informed them that two dishes were still missing. Since they didn't bring them out, I got up straight away to pay. On the receipt, they put us on the table for one of the missing dishes; they didn't even write down the other. The woman who charged me kept asking the waiters which table we were at, and only one could answer, even though the others had also served us. They were quite disorganized and unorganized. I explained that I had to take one of my dishes, and she was quite rude. When I paid, she didn't even give me my change. The food was good, but the service was terrible.

24/05/2025: Disappointing service, a waiter raised his voice at me because he thought I had made a mistake in ordering and he must have been right. A strange way to keep customers.

07/06/2025: It may not have been an evening, but "brilliant" bruschetta and pizza fiordalici really dry and sparsely filled, my wife then had a pizza tuna, tomato and a few traces of other things, really anonymous, at the spectacular price of nineteen euros, which perhaps not even at Cracco's.. of course the menu has discrete variations and perhaps we should try again, but this time definitely not. Good bomb alla parmigiana and attentive, courteous, friendly service. But it can't be enough.

07/06/2025: This is my third time back. Typical Roman trattoria atmosphere but clean and tidy. Very good food even if the cook is not Italian (ed.) From carbonara to tripe to pizza. And finally they also have a very good and pleasant sparkling wine.

17/05/2025: My favorite restaurant in Rome. Both traditional and original dishes without ever sacrificing taste. Professional service but also very welcoming and friendly. Excellent wine advice from the owner Antonella. Cacio, pepe e pistacchio to die for. Very nice location especially when you can eat in the little square.

The sore points are the "tourist" dishes and the extremely high prices. It's a shame for the Romans to have lost a historical landmark like this

17/04/2025: I went there during my backpacking and was a bless in disguise. I booked my hotel next to the Roma Terminal and the area was not very pleaseant to the eye, walking aroundyou would feel unsecure. Nevertheless, there it was this humble restaurant, not that attractive looking from outside. Went inside and it was the most Italian atmosphere ever. Everything organized, with patterns and colour. Beautiful. The waiter, probably a indian, was the most funny, social and high spirit i could hope for. He was getting laughs after laughs from every client i took notice. Hope he still working there. And last, the food, awesome. Tradicional Italian food, which are the best, made by real italians, gorgeous. Went there EVERYDAY that i spent in Rome. Even watched someone proposing at this very restaurant. It was beautiful.

17/05/2025: Even though it was a Tuesday night, the place was full. A good sign, on the one hand. The service was rather slow, but the kitchen was express. The orders did not follow the collection order. Maybe a little confusion in the kitchen? The first courses were tasty, however. Second course of fish (1.2kg sea bass) very good. Side dish so-so. Excellent wine and good choice. Desserts not exciting. Price (€65.00 per person for 3 people) slightly high according to my experiences but not excessive. All in all a positive experience.

16/05/2025: Family atmosphere Without great pretensions, it lives on a legacy consolidated over the years that deserves to be revived. Waiters without uniforms leave much to be desired for the image of order and cleanliness that the handling of food deserves.

17/05/2025: A beautiful place for lunch/dinner, the place inside was like a theater, it is beautiful, warm food/service, without the madness of the inns or bars/restaurants where people walk next to your table, 3 of us had a very good lunch, house anti-pasto, pasta (very good) 2 dishes of fried cod with fried zucchini VERY good, coffee 2 bottles of water and a glass of prospectus for 78 euros, I RECOMMEND IT, IT IS WORTH IT, 109 meters from Campo si Fiore

08/06/2025: Very cosy place in a quiet neighbourhood. Not a touristic place. We had a very nice time here, the staff was really nice and the food came super fast! Amazing food, it was pretty unique cooked and they have reinterpreted some classic recepies (or at least, in a way I've never eaten before). I highly recommend!

20/05/2025: A lovely experience for our family’s first visit to Rome away from the busy streets that we won’t forget! A visit to the wine cellar, then dinner and wine. The lamb, carbonara, ravioli and meatballs were devine. Our favorite was the lamb. So glad friends recommended and we saw BBC video about the restaurant.

15/05/2025: The other reviews about being forced to pay in cash are spot on. I assume this location. Is trying to evade taxes. What makes it worse is that my total was 19euro (see my bill) and the guy said 20 cash. These people are scammers, avoid. Which is a shame as the food was good.
