03/09/2025: A bad experience. We expected more. We didn't like the fried appetizer, the supplì were cold and truly tasteless, the first courses were nothing like those found in Rome, and the pasta was cooked and quality was truly poor. I'm disappointed because our expectations were high; perhaps we came on the wrong day. Who knows?

23/07/2025: Roman restaurant in the center of Stradella. The owner was very friendly and helpful, but at times a bit intrusive throughout the evening, in my opinion. Traditional Roman food, overall good, and a decent value.

11/07/2025: Una,bellissima sorpresa! Avevo sentito parlare di Cantina Colonna e, finalmente, sono riuscito ad andarci. Ristorante molto curato e menu ricercato, con materie prime di alta qualità. Accoglienza e professionalità in fine fanno da cornice ad una bella esperienza che scalda il cuore ed il palato. Straconsigliato!

17/09/2025: A very delicious restaurant! The atmosphere is truly lovely in the evenings, as everything is a bit darker and the lighting creates a pleasant ambiance. The value for money is also excellent – ​​highly recommended.

16/09/2025: My girlfriend and I ordered the tasting menu. Good service, staff speaks english very well. (My Italian is bad) and that was a nice bonus. The appetizers were nice, no Meatballs, but the substitute aubergine was a very nice replacement. We did end up waiting a long time between appetizer and pasta course, almost a full hour. I ordered the rigatoni… nothing to write home about. The bacon bits were very dry and chewy. My girlfriend ordered the carbonara, which was very eggy. Never had anything like it, not necessarily in a good way. The meat dishes were very disappointing. I ordered the roast lamb, no seasoning, no real flavor aside from meat. I could have mistaken it for turkey or ham. The greens were soggy and stringy. Not delicious. My girlfriend ordered the beef cheek. Also not appetizing, the side of potatoes were not delicious either. Desert was alright, riccotta cheese with cherry sauce. 3/5 personally but your taste may vary. Ultimately the weakest dining experience in our 7-day stay in Italy. Quite disappointed.

The staff is extremely kind, attentive, and always ready to recommend dishes and wines. 14/09/2025: Perfetto! 👌 From the welcome to the dessert time. Highly recommended make a reservation, after taking our table, the people started joining (all of them with already booked table). The waiter who atended us was absolutely excellent, every unique of each of the details during the dinner was perfect. The pasta was not an exception at this experience. All the suggestions from the staff exceeded our expectations: - Lamb cooked in a sauce and melted with parpadelle. - Tatruffo bianco cream with linguine and fresh truffle on the top crowning the plate. 14/09/2025: We ordered spaghetti carbonara and spaghetti cacio e pepe, and they were very salty. Almost inedible. We let the waiter know, and they didn't care. They also charged me €6 extra for adding a little truffle to the dish, and half a bottle of house wine was €15. We definitely won't be back. There are much better options in Rome for lunch or dinner.

Although there were several places with good reviews, we trusted our instincts... and we were right! We ate truly delicious: traditional Roman dishes, carefully prepared using quality ingredients. The staff was very kind and professional, always available but not intrusive, maintaining the right balance between courtesy and discretion. A truly positive experience, which we recommend to anyone looking for an authentic and welcoming restaurant in the heart of Rome. We'll definitely be back!

It's the ideal place to savor traditional Roman cuisine: carbonara, amatriciana, abbacchio, and more. The complimentary dish of extra virgin olive oil, served with delicious slices of homemade bread, is especially appreciated. Service is quick and professional, and prices are reasonable. Recommended: 5 stars!

29/07/2025: We were looking for a restaurant offering gluten free options for lunch after the Vatican tour. This place is about a 10 minute walk. It was a hit for our family group of 10. The waiter (who was quite personable) immediately mentioned that the porcini mushrooms were fresh and showed us. The pastas came in regular and gluten free and they were both superb. The fettuccine and mushrooms was tasty. The rest of the group were happy with their pizzas or fish dishes. The dessert menu is ample and tasty. We had a good time.

19/09/2025: Sensational! Top two best pasta dishes I ate on the trip. The carbonara is simply divine. Their prosciutto is also 10/10. We ordered shrimp as a secondo piatto, and it was also out of this world. I have nothing but praise. I regret not getting dessert, but we were already satisfied. The restaurant is family-run, and everyone is so sweet. Even the nonna helps! It gives off that more "authentic" vibe. I didn't spot any tourists while we were there. We made a reservation with the help of Google Translate, as they only speak Italian, but it was very relaxed. We saw people arrive without reservations and couldn't get in. I absolutely loved it; definitely my favorite restaurant in Rome. Very welcoming, family atmosphere. Loved it!

09/09/2025: While searching for the location of another restaurant, I happened to encounter a sweet Italian-speaking grandmother at a grocery store to ask for directions. She took me to Cannavota. The interior looked very elegant, and we took her suggestion and sat down with our family. We tried seafood salad, pasta dishes, tiramisu, and a mixed fish platter. For beer, I tried the Menabrea beer, which was delicious. I highly recommend it. Each item was better than the next; it was a feast of flavors. The staff are all wonderful and sweet, and they communicate beautifully. If you're looking for a truly authentic Italian dinner, I highly recommend it. 28/08/2025: Overall, I will come back to try everything else. The flavor is great but is on the salty side (and I don't usually eat a lot of heavy food. ). If you like your noodle hard, you will like the way they make it (I usually eat extra soft noodles.) It was different from what i would eat normally, but nevertheless, I liked it. The staff are friendly. The environment is not noisy at all. I see mostly local ppl there the 1 hour that I was there. Spent less than 30 euros for a bruschetta, a fettuccine and a glass of red wine.

11/09/2025: Delicious!! I had such a wonderful meal here. For me, this was a truly outstanding steak. I'd never had such a perfectly grilled piece of meat before. Fantastic. It was incredibly busy, which speaks volumes, of course. The locals definitely appreciate this restaurant. And I'm so glad I had the chance to try it. Highly recommended!

30/08/2025: We first visited this place on our way home after getting off at Grizzana train station. We ordered chicken schnitzel (cotoletta di pollo), which was both hearty and delicious. Later, on a rainy evening, we came back with my wife and had two pizzas, one of them vegan, along with a local beer. The pizzas were perfectly baked, with crispy edges and excellent flavor. Prices are very reasonable. The indoor area is simple but acceptable. The staff is very kind and attentive. We were very satisfied on both visits and definitely recommend this restaurant.
