11/09/2025: I’ve been here five wonderful times but I’m so embarrassed to have brought my friends here tonight. I have no problem with relaxed service but I’ve never been ignored by a waiter for over 40 minutes. Took 90 minutes to get water. After nearly two hours our meals finally came out. Two meals were good but the roast pork was dry. The wine is usually great, but unfortunately the rosato was terribly sweet. The red wines we had were lovely - would have loved another glass but it was impossible to order. What a disappointment.

10/09/2025: We had such a great time at Ai Tre Scalini! The atmosphere is lively and welcoming, with a fun, bustly vibe that makes you feel part of the energy of the place. The music — classic American oldies — added so much charm, and we loved when the staff broke into song. Our waiter had a fantastic sense of humor, kept us laughing, and was wonderfully attentive throughout the meal. The wine was excellent and clearly chosen with care. Food-wise, everything we tried was spot on — especially the Caesarina salad, the lasagna, and the ricotta ravioli. Of all the meals we had in Rome, this is the one place I’d tell my friends they have to try if they’re in the area. It’s the kind of spot that gives you not just a meal, but a memory.

08/06/2025: Best dinner I ever had in Italy, which means a lot. The pasta was amazing, the wine absolutely delicious and the service great (although nobody speaks any English, but it’s part of the experience)

We were served by Asma, who was absolutely fantastic – very welcoming, kind, and attentive. She made our stay feel special and truly enhanced the whole experience. 28/08/2025: Located in a location with a stunning view of Rome, this centuries-old restaurant is a must-try if you want to eat well and make a great impression. The menu is frequently updated with seasonal products, but some traditional staples remain, like their absolutely must-try cacio e pepe. The desserts they prepare with care and love are also noteworthy. I recommend the zuppa inglese if you can find it, because it literally sells out quickly.

27/08/2025: Our son's graduation dinner on July 24th on a wonderful terrace with a truly lovely atmosphere. The chef was superb and the staff was extra helpful. As a surprise, they even delivered a wonderful cake from the pastry chef! Superb! Marina Morelli

23/09/2025: The food was okay, but the service was terrible. We waited a very long time to order, the waiter ignored us, and I didn't receive my drink, which I had to ask for. The waiter was clearly busy and working, but it wasn't necessary to make it so obvious, as if he was serving us as a punishment… The location is a plus.

23/09/2025: Food is good, service is fast, atmosphere is nice. Prices are on the expensive touristic side. We sat inside where the a/c was too strong and too cold, we ended up freezing instead of being refreshed. Recommended if you are strolling in the Vatican area and need a break.

07/09/2025: We went there last night for a birthday. The food was excellent, and the service was very fast. It's a shame the atmosphere was a bit noisy, but that really didn't matter. Excellent fried food, incredibly delicious carbonara and amatriciana, and a pizza to indulge in that was practically illegal...

08/09/2025: I had high expectations on this one since it was recommended by a local. The dishes we ordered are depicted on the receipt. Everything, other than the grilled chicken and the spaghetti dish, is good; especially the oxtail. I had much better pasta dishes. This cabonara spaghetti is not as good as other reviews described; the spaghetti is a little undercooked. The worst is the grilled chicken. The chicken was overcooked, too dry, and no flavors. The eatery can be filled up quickly during peak meal time; therefore, a reservation through its website is recommended.

05/08/2025: The atmosphere is very beautiful, typically Roman, as is the cuisine, which revisits classic dishes. The staff is helpful and courteous, and the food is excellent, especially the zabaglione dessert, which is spectacular. Highly recommended.

27/08/2025: A real discovery... Excellent pizza, first courses, and desserts, what we ordered. Beautiful and familiar place, with a great Sign (I think the owner) who makes you feel at home. We will definitely be back. Tip: create a smoky atmosphere!

13/09/2025: This was our second visit to the restaurant, and once again it was a wonderful experience. We ordered the mixed vegetables and replaced the ham with beef carpaccio, which turned out to be a very delicious starter. For the main course, we had the beef fillet steak served with spinach, broccoli, and a baked potato — perfectly cooked and flavorful. The staff were very friendly and attentive, which added to the overall experience. The restaurant itself is small and cozy, creating a warm atmosphere. Considering the quality of food and service, it offers very good value for money.

13/09/2025: This is my second time here, amazing food, they have gluten free pasta which was good, we had the spaghetti shrimp pasta with tomato sauce. This time we came back for the steak (slice fillet steak), don't miss it!! They also provided gluten free bread which was great.
