18/02/2026: A small, family-run trattoria in Ciampino. As soon as you enter, you're immediately put at ease by their kindness. The menu features all the traditional Roman dishes, well-prepared and, above all, generous. First courses are served on a plate or left in the pan they were cooked in. Visiting this little trattoria is like being at home. The appetizers are also very good. I'll be back as soon as I can, as I didn't manage to eat the main courses because, after the array of house appetizers and the first course, I unfortunately couldn't finish the second course.

11/03/2026: The food is marvellous! The pasta is fresh handmade by his mother. The Romana artichoke is a must! Seafood pasta is 5 stars. Prices are reasonable. Will come back for sure.

07/03/2026: We happened to pass by the alleyway in San Lorenzo where the Pesce fritto e Baccalà restaurant is located, captivated by the lights that adorn the entire narrow street. The name seemed like an invitation to dinner, and luckily, the owners' son welcomed us right away. The dinner was excellent, to say the least: fresh pasta homemade by the matriarch, fried cod with a very light, dry breading and a perfect, pale color, and delicious puntarelle (we certainly couldn't miss them in Rome). Very satisfying. The kindness, customer service, and excellent products truly put it at the top.

31/01/2026: I went to this Hostaria today for the first time. The carbonara and coda alla vaccinara I ordered were truly exceptional. The prices were more than reasonable. The atmosphere was lovely and well-kept. The owner and waiter were friendly and professional. A total of 10 out of 10!

18/03/2026: An incredible first taste of local cuisine. Some of the best pasta carbonara I've ever had, with homemade pasta, no cream, and delicious bacon. They also had a very good cheesecake. I ate my fill for 20 euros. Not bad at all.

13/03/2026: Highly recommended! An authentic restaurant with delicious food. I recommend the Spezzatino, which are also pictured. Everyone speaks Italian and you feel right at home.

13/03/2026: A true benchmark for Roman cuisine. This restaurant has become an institution: the food is excellent, with traditional dishes prepared to perfection. The atmosphere is authentic Roman trattoria, simple and genuine. The waiters are delightful and contribute greatly to the experience: they crack jokes and tease diners in a playful yet unobtrusive way, in the spirit of true Roman trattorias. The atmosphere is convivial and genuine, making you want to return.

24/02/2026: The food is good but definitely overpriced: there are better places where you can eat for less. The service is quite slow (at least during our Sunday lunch experience), and the waiters often pretend not to hear you. The interior is cozy but very noisy. I don't think I'd return: just walk a little further towards Ostiense and you'll find places I consider better.

13/01/2026: A pleasant trip to Frascati with friends ended with a delicious lunch at Vecchia Frasca, with excellent service and reasonable prices.

06/01/2026: I was with my wife and daughter for lunch on 30/12. We were welcomed by the waitress with kindness and friendliness. We ate very well: first course, artichokes and bacon, saltimbocca, arrosticini, potatoes, wine, coffee and biscuits offered by the restaurant (see photo). While we had already started, there was a misunderstanding about the saltimbocca due to my wife's allergies and they remade the dish. Thanks again. It's not for everyone.... I highly recommend the fresh and excellent products.

05/03/2026: I returned last week to this restaurant I've known for years, and as always, it didn't disappoint. The menu is truly delicious, the kind that makes you want to try everything. You read a dish and think, "Okay, I'll have this," then you keep reading and change your mind three more times. You can tell there's been care and research 🤩 The service was excellent, attentive and kind, without being intrusive. And something I really appreciated: even though it was a Saturday night, the place was quiet, with a relaxed atmosphere, so we could talk and enjoy the dinner at our leisure. There are only two photos... because I didn't have time to take them before the dishes had already been tasted. I think that says it all. 😁 A special thanks to Alan and all his staff for their hospitality and professionalism. For me, it remains a certainty 🤍
