High-quality ingredients, a wonderful atmosphere, and a warm welcome. One of those historic osterias worth protecting.
05/01/2026: A truly positive experience. A lovely place, well-decorated and with well-spaced tables, in a central area of Genoa yet secluded enough to enjoy a quiet setting. Easily accessible by public transport and on foot. The ingredients are certainly of high quality, and you can taste it. We enjoyed fried anchovies and lean capon, both expertly cooked. Then the stewed cuttlefish and spaghetti with fish sauce were truly delicious. The service was impeccable, with its friendliness, helpfulness, and attentive service. The wine selection was good. We were a bit rushed due to our theater appointment, but we'll be back to enjoy other dishes at our leisure. Prices are reasonable for the quality. Highly recommended!

01/04/2026: Easy to find near the port, this restaurant is very typical and welcoming. The kitchen is open so you can watch the chef prepare perfectly cooked pasta with delicious sauces. The ingredients are very fresh and the atmosphere is very friendly.

22/02/2026: I was in Sestri Levante last night with some Genoese friends at this typical trattoria, and I must say the dishes are typical, too. The atmosphere is simple, as I think a trattoria should be. Family-run, everyone is friendly and willing to offer advice on the dishes. The fried anchovies and seafood salad were excellent, and for the main course, a stockfish with potatoes, which pleasantly surprised me. I also tried the boiled stockfish, and I have to say I couldn't decide which was better. And to finish, an excellent pear and chocolate cake, and, of course, a bitter. Osteria da Sergio is definitely worth a visit. I can't comment on the bill because I was a guest, but I understand it was excellent value for money.

21/08/2025: Easy to get to (less than a 10-minute drive from the coast). Private parking. The interior is cozy and comfortable, complemented by a lovely terrace for al fresco summer dining. The staff is attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. The cuisine is amazing, with both seafood and meat dishes. Everything is delicious, but the capon magro and fish soup are truly exceptional. The wine list is well-stocked and perfectly complements the menu. Excellent value. Simply ESSENTIAL.
