29/12/2024: Franchino welcomed us and served us with sincere pleasure like an innkeeper from times gone by, the food was of excellent quality: a very generous appetizer, excellent carbonara and delicious kebabs! Thanks to Franchino!!!! Highly recommended, if you are in the area you absolutely must go!

08/12/2024: Dopo una mattinata sulla neve, cercavamo un posticino per rifoccillarci, cerchiamo su tripadvisor e il gioco è fatto. Ci affidiamo a chi c'è stato prima di noi e prenotiamo. Questa piccola trattoria ha un calore e un atmosfera davvero familiare, il cibo ottimo e abbondante, il conto super onesto, ma la vera chicca è il proprietario Franchino una persona davvero gentile e cordiale che ti accoglie come se ti conoscesse da tempo.Consiglio assolutamente..noi torneremo a occhi chiusi.

06/01/2025: Epifania a Scanno con pranzo al ristorante la Porta, tutto buono e fatto in casa. La Gentilezza è stato il condimento perfetto. Trattoria familiare con prodotti del territorio, tutto buonissimo, prezzi onestissimi, ci torneremo.

I remember a welcoming place where we ate very well several times but as the years went by the place only came out for "chosen eyes" plus I've been trying to call in the only dedicated hour for about a week and the phone is always busy. We know Paolo, Roberto and the whole family very well: they are extraordinary people, always kind and welcoming, as is their staff, which is truly exceptional. The cuisine is impeccable, with traditional Abruzzo dishes prepared with passion and quality ingredients. Each visit is an unforgettable culinary experience. I recommend booking in advance because the place is in great demand, especially during high season. Absolutely must try!

08/12/2024: È un locale estremamente accogliente, dove puoi degustare delle fantastiche pietanze servite da personale molto educato e disponibile. Ogni volta che ritorno è come sentirsi a casa. Lo consiglio vivamente.

21/12/2024: Located in a rustic and welcoming environment in a point of great naturalistic and hiking interest. Efficient service. The menu offers many characteristic dishes and the choice is wide. I found the foods delicious. Unfortunately when I went to pay between the bill that was given to me and the one I paid there was an increase that I can't explain, I hope it was a typo! Unfortunately I noticed it at home and couldn't ask.

14/11/2024: A cabin-style place, very welcoming, managed and run by very friendly people. The dishes are prepared according to tradition. Easy to reach and I believe an obligatory stop for anyone who has to reach Scanno, passing through Villetta Barrea.

28/12/2024: Good as a rule, nothing exceptional. Prices a little high considering where it is located. I found the cover charge €2.50 and the can of coke €3.50 particularly expensive.

06/12/2024: Always a favorite restaurant, there is no better place to feel at home. Quality food, simple and genuine but exceptional dishes. I recommend always leaving a place for dessert because they are fabulous!!!

04/11/2024: Sulla strada principale di Civitella Roveto, parcheggio facile nelle vicinanze; all'interno non è molto "caratteristico", c'è stato un evidente restyling di recente, comunque il locale è pulito e luminoso. Sulla cucina : ottimi i primi piatti (ravioloni ripieni di ricotta di pecora, con salsa ai funghi e tartufo e spaghetti alla chitarra con ragù di capriolo); senza infamia e senza lode la grigliata mista di carne (abbacchio, salsiccia e cinghiale), un pò avanti di cottura per i miei gusti, molto buone invece le patate di contorno. Buono il vino, sia bianco che rosso. Non sono in grado di valutare i prezzi, eravamo ospiti in occasione di un compleanno. Voto complessivo da uno a dieci : sette meno. Comunque, lo consiglio.

30/12/2024: Very nice place, with excellent cuisine unfortunately ruined by shameful and absolutely unprofessional service. Reservation made in person the day before. When I arrived the next day the reservation had been lost and the booked table given to other people. I am given a table next to the service desk. After ordering, more than 40 minutes passed without being served, we discovered that our order had been lost. To apologize we are offered a chopping board while waiting for the first courses. Inattentive, unprepared and listless staff, of whom I had to listen to complaints and discussions throughout dinner (the table next to the desk could be avoided). At 10.30pm, with several customers still sitting at the table eating, the organization of tables for the following day began with unpleasant noises of tables being moved, dirty plates and tablecloths being carried here and there under the arm. Finally, rechecking the bill, I realize that the cutting board that was offered to me was also incorrectly included. I hope that these criticisms of mine are taken in a constructive manner by the ownership in order to give their restaurant a service worthy of the level of cuisine.

03/01/2025: I'll tell you about my experience in this restaurant: as soon as I entered the reception was 0, in fact I was the one who approached the waiter to ask for a table otherwise they would have left me there. As soon as I start talking to the waiter to ask if he had a table for 2 he starts to get annoyed by responding with a terrible tone, he almost accompanied us out, he could simply say we are full there is no availability. In my opinion, customers shouldn't be treated this way, I wouldn't even go there if they paid me; bad experience.

03/01/2025: I PREMISE I AM FROM ABBRUZZE...We trusted the reviews but absolutely to be avoided. Little choice of dishes, only one side dish, spinach boiled and served without any condiment, what's more we come to their strong point... ARROSTICINI AS A TRUE ABBRUZZIAN I WOULDN'T HAVE NEVER THOUGHT OF SEEING ROASTS COOKED IN THE OVEN. RIGHT IN THE HEART OF ABBRUZZE YES YOU UNDERSTOOD CORRECT...BAKED..BUT PLEASE.AT THIS POINT DO NOT MAKE THEM DO NOT RUIN THIS DELICACY OF OUR LAND.
