29/11/2025: The bean, mushroom, and truffle soup was spectacular, as was the polenta. The arrosticini were delicious, the gentian was excellent, and the desserts were excellent.
Lots of snow, and the place was warm and welcoming, and the waiters were excellent.

19/10/2025: Roast lamb is good! But a historic restaurant like this, so award-winning and renowned, can't maintain its reputation with roast lamb... That's what you eat in every tavern in Abruzzo anyway! And the rest of the menu? Better to forget it... Chef Cannavacciuolo is definitely needed here.

22/08/2025: An hour and a half to wait for two pizzas. They served a table of 15 people who arrived after us. Instead of apologizing, the owner was rude and told us never to come back. Which we will.
22/08/2025: On our way back on August 15th, we decided to stop by Guerrinuccio for dinner without a reservation; they seated us. We had a mixed antipasto (without pork) with beef and truffle carpaccio, cheese, and vegetables, a truly excellent wild boar pappardelle, and a grilled steak cooked to perfection, medium rare. Everything was excellent, and the prices were average. Every time we come back, it's a regular stop for us! Always excellent!

06/10/2025: Traditional Abruzzo dishes, all tasty, well-cooked, and absolutely fair prices. Quick and efficient service. The dining room is beautiful, well-decorated, and has a great atmosphere. Highly recommended!
05/10/2025: A fantastic experience at this very rustic restaurant in Civitella Alfedena. It used to be a stable and was later converted into a restaurant. The food is good value for money, and the quality is excellent. Highly recommended.

15/09/2025: This place was recommended by acquaintances. I wasn't particularly impressed with the food (the ravioli weren't of the highest quality) or the service, which was a bit chaotic.
07/09/2025: Every time we passed by, we noticed a lot of cars, so we decided to book for lunch, but the dishes weren't satisfying. The first courses were flavorless and seasoned with less-than-fresh ingredients, while paying €18 for a roast with two pieces of meat seemed excessive to me. They could be improved.

The chef and owner pay great attention to the smallest details; even simple dishes always have a touch of quality and excellence.
Service and courtesy are certainly not lacking.
And what can I say if the chef personally comes to the table to make sure everything is fine?

The prices are incredibly low; in Rome, they wouldn't have even been enough for a pizza.
31/08/2025: A rustic basement restaurant that was packed for Friday lunch, and frequented almost exclusively by locals. The menu offers typical Abruzzo dishes at very reasonable prices; on Fridays, there are special fish dishes. We had an Abruzzo starter plate for two for €15, followed by a kind of thick tubular pasta with scampi for €8, and a chitarra alla scoglio for €10, all very good and freshly prepared. The wines on offer were all very good value, and we had a very good Pecorino from Tenuta I Fauri for €14 a bottle. The service was actually quite pleasant, although it took a while at first to be attended to.

11/11/2025: A good restaurant, decent value, quiet atmosphere, and a friendly couple who own it. She, who is also the cook, even offered me a post-meal amaro, and we chatted a bit about Castel di Sangro's success as a tourist destination in recent years, since Napoli chose this spot for their summer training camp.
A Monday in November certainly contributed to the pleasant calm inside. I don't know if it's crowded and more chaotic at other times, given that the place is small and therefore doesn't have many tables.
Overall, I liked it.
Simple, good dishes.
Recommended.

09/11/2025: I went for dinner on a Saturday evening. I had the house mixed antipasto (very minimal) and a Marchigiana rib steak. The wait was long; I wasn't in a hurry, but the staff was definitely understaffed for the size of the place. Overall, the price is a bit high; for the same amount, you can have more interesting experiences.
09/11/2025: Overall, we had an average lunch. The beef tagliata was good, the Jewish-style artichokes and the fries were too greasy. The best part was the waiter's prompt and friendly service, but it wasn't supported enough by the kitchen, which brought out the main courses, some side dishes after five minutes, and the last side dishes after another five minutes, and we were a family, not a large group. I didn't see the inside of the restaurant except briefly, but the terrace, overlooking the parking lot and with its plastic chairs, isn't the height of elegance.
