04/10/2025: This is most likely the first time I've written a review, and I do so with anger because I find so much superficiality and so many people who, professionally speaking, are indecent. Even on the very first occasions, I noticed some rather questionable behavior from the receptionists. You can't expect an immediate response, after a trial (obviously paid €18.00), from a 4-year-and-5-month-old girl at her swimming lessons. We asked for a few days to truly understand our daughter's feedback, but we were told: "If you accept now, we'll deduct the €18 from your monthly fee (€45.00), otherwise you'll have to pay the full monthly fee." Absurd! How can I truly understand the outcome from a little girl who's just over 4 years old?!? But even more absurd is paying a monthly fee of €45.00 and guaranteeing only four admissions in the relevant month... in September, the child had the flu, used three admissions, and on the fourth, went to the beach. Absurd! Today I saw confirmation of the lack of professionalism and, above all, the lack of sensitivity towards a child who is not even 5 years old! I forgot to book on the app, and when I went to reception to pay the monthly fee and to point out that I hadn't booked, I was told: "You pay me the monthly fee but come back on Monday." When I asked to make an exception, considering that I'm not going to the pool but a 4-year-and-5-month-old girl who has been saying for days "I can't wait to go," without any explanation, I was told again: "Pay now and come on Monday." I would have liked an explanation as to why they couldn't make an exception to the rule, considering that the child has already been to the pool three times in September. Obviously, they won't see me again because, in my opinion, flexibility and sensitivity when it comes to children always come first, before turnover and operational management. Terrible front-office staff! From my badge, I can see that Conad Superstore is the main partner... in this case, the famous tagline "people over things" is completely off the mark! 26/12/2025: Every year when we arrive in Policastro from Germany, this is the first place we visit. The pizza is excellent and really inexpensive. The owner has known us for a long time, and everyone is very friendly.

08/09/2025: The atmosphere is very spartan, the service is slow, I don't know if it was a coincidence but for a pizza we waited 1 hour for the parmigiana and the fried food. Never again.

02/09/2025: We went to this beach in person 20 days before our vacation to ask if there was availability for an umbrella for a certain period. They explained to us that the situation wasn't easy for them (which I understand). They also said there wouldn't be any problems, the space would be available; we just had to contact them a few days in advance. We wrote a few days before and they told us that the entire period wasn't available and that three days would be vacant. That's fine. They gave us the price (which wasn't the one we'd discussed, but that's fine; it was a busy day, she must have been confused). We tried to negotiate the price a bit and were told that they weren't a stall and that they don't hold auctions. That's fine, we apologize and accept, and we send the deposit. On our first day under the umbrella, the weather was practically unbearable, and the lady kindly advised us not to go down and that she would let us make up for it. This gesture was appreciated, and we promptly repaid her by eating (deliciously) on the beach despite having a house just a few meters away and a supermarket right next door. The surprise is that, if you get a period of uncertain weather (and I don't mean bad weather), the lines for umbrellas are halved and the party begins, something we obviously hadn't been told about (just like the shower, which isn't included in the umbrella rental; it's €15, including a €5 deposit for a card—well, that's fine, too). Basically, if it weren't for the staff at the bar, the spotlessly clean open kitchen, and the empathetic and professional lifeguards, this review would have one star. From the moment the lines are halved, everyone RIGHTFULLY wants the service they paid for, the place they paid for. Since it was frequented by a very relaxed, adult, and well-mannered clientele, there were no major problems for 10 days. The beach was self-managed, except that on the last day, an argument broke out between the beachgoers and the owner (who pretended to be the manager) came down and asked my pregnant partner and I to move the umbrella we'd paid for because she thought we wouldn't be going on the last day (despite the fact that it was expensive) and that we hadn't told them the days before that we'd be using it until the last day. And then, last but not least, she said, "Go to the back row because I'm in charge here and I make decisions." We didn't start any arguments; we simply pointed out that we were under the umbrella assigned to us. They're lucky because they're in an area with few alternatives: a tiny beach with umbrellas glued together. Your lounger is practically glued to the one next to it, maybe 20-30cm apart at most, so anyone in that area is almost forced to use it. The alternative would be the public beach. There were four of us (my partner, my parents, and I), but every day we set up our umbrellas on the public beach (since we'd brought them for the open-air days), so as not to crowd together even more (also because it's prohibited by the rules). Since it's very likely that this will be denied, I'm attaching a photo, one of which shows how the water practically rises, forcing us to remove the umbrellas (which really bothers me, and in fact we were silent for the entire duration of the holiday, and despite this, we were told who's in charge and who's not). Kindness is probably mistaken for foolishness.

17/09/2025: Stopped while on a roadtrip through Italy for a casual quick dessert and.. wow! 2 eur for the best ice cream ever, lovely service that also understands english, cute interior. Absolutely magnifico!

29/08/2025: They don't even give you a glass of water. Terrible experience, as if they should ever save money again.

27/06/2026: We tried the graffa and the brioche, and what can I say: truly excellent. We also enjoyed chatting with the owner, who was very helpful and entertaining. Recommended for anyone who wants warm graffa baked to order. The best.

11/01/2026: I'd been here years ago and wasn't happy with the service, but I wanted to give it a second chance! Never again! Terrible experience! The food tasted awful, but the worst part was the rudeness and unprofessionalism of the staff. One waitress, to let us know we needed to clear our table, said it loudly to her colleague, giggling so we could hear her. Spoiler alert: she could have just come up to us and told us that since we'd ordered dessert, we'd have to leave the table after eating it. Even though we stayed for an hour and a half, which was practically enough time to eat. It seems obvious to me that we'd leave after eating dessert! Besides, there was no one standing around waiting for the table to be freed up! But in any case, it seems really rude and unprofessional to giggle and talk badly about customers out loud like kindergarteners. NO COMMENT! Never again! 😉

14/03/2026: The pizza looked excellent, with a light and fluffy crust. It's a shame I ordered paella. The rice was really undercooked, hard to swallow (and I love rice and pasta al dente), and soaked in oil. All the seafood was definitely frozen and far too chewy. I'm giving it two stars, not one, for the excellent service and the pizza, which definitely would have been a better choice. For the price, I really expected more from what's considered their flagship dish. I wouldn't eat it again 🙏

21/01/2026: This hotel is so-so. But the soundproofing is absolutely terrible. You can hear everyone showering perfectly clearly. 🙄 I can hear the doorbell ringing in the next room perfectly clearly.
