08/08/2026: We’ve spent 3 nights in the nearby country house and have seen reviews about this Michelin guide- level restaurant. After first visit I must say that we left quite dissapointed. The prices were high- approx 20-30€ per portion and we were fine with that, expecting meal of a high quality. While ordering, we noticed the strange division between premium fish and not premium fish dish, which felt quite strange considering a high price for both, but let me get to the food. We had 6 meals of which the grilled squid was the worst. Grilled to the point of not being chewable, it felt like a rubber. Both fish were very basic and not flavourful, nothing remotely special (next day we had a better fish for half the price in nearby restaurant). Beef entrecote was fine but again, nothing special, close to medium and not evenly cooked through. I must add that no one reminded us about the sides so we ate it with stale bread on the side. The two remaining pasta dishes were ok but definitely overpriced for the portion. Now comes the waiting time, we also ordered two starters but the service people didn’t seem to care (as with the sides for meat dishes), so they brought us everything at the same time, after 1 hour and 15 minutes of waiting. After the dinner we asked to pay and ended up reminding the staff after 20 minutes of waiting for the bill. Very underwhelming, even dissapointing experience

26/07/2026: Definitely not. The food was a complete disappointment, starting with the extremely meager appetizer: two fried anchovies and two in oil, a zucchini flower, and an unknown fish in a slice of very old pumpkin. The catch of the day was a comical experience: there were six of us, and we ordered one sea bream for two and four snappers for the other. The waiters couldn't tell the difference between the two types of fish 😂, if you're charging me 70 euros, at least tell me what I'm eating. Plus, it didn't taste that great. The side potatoes were a joke, dry and old, and they even took them away from us before we'd finished them. They ripped us off as tourists, so keep your eyes peeled.

14/08/2026: We were welcomed as if we were family by the manager, who also befriended us. It was a wonderful experience.

16/07/2026: 2026 We returned because of the fond memories we had of it. The place is still splendid, but the a la carte menu wasn't as satisfying as the souvenir menu (which was no longer available unless you booked through TheFork). Extremely high prices for dishes that weren't worth the price. Small portions. We had to ask for some bread. The first course was meager in quantity. The meat was tough. Even the ice cream with oil completely changed its flavor and appearance. I wouldn't recommend it today. But since the place is splendid, if you want to try it, do so with TheFork's menu. Assuming the chefs haven't changed. 2024 Enchanting place. The interior and exterior are tastefully and uniquely designed. We discovered it thanks to TheFork, which offered the souvenir menu. It consists of a selection of appetizers, a first course, a second course, a pre-dessert, a dessert, a glass of wine and water, €40 per person. The service is excellent, accompanying you throughout the meal, explaining the dish and the history of the place. The dishes are carefully presented and flavorful, using seasonal, local ingredients. The appetizers are exceptional, each one better than the last, and the portions are generous. I particularly enjoyed the parmigiana, the Cilento meatball, and the cuttlefish with peas. The caciocavallo in three consistencies wasn't so much my cup of tea. I wasn't thrilled with the first courses, not so much with the flavor, which was very good, but with the sauce being too runny. The second courses were very good, especially the pork tenderloin with Aglianico and Annurca apple. And then the desserts. A fitting finale to a perfect meal. The pre-dessert is a real treat, perhaps the thing that struck me most: fiordilatte gelato with olive oil...a very unique flavor. And then the two desserts, the mokamisu and the millefeuille with cream and black cherry...delicious! Kudos to the team for conveying their passion and local excellence. The menu option, which allows you to sample a variety of dishes, is very welcome. For the vegan, vegetarian, meat, and seafood menu, I would suggest specifying the dishes, even if only indicatively. Because not everything can be to everyone's taste, it's important to know what's on offer in advance. We'll definitely be back; highly recommended.

08/12/2025: We went for pizza on Sunday evening and, since there were several empty tables, we were able to sit right away. Expectations were high given the numerous recommendations from an acquaintance, but we probably arrived at a bad time. The pizza dough was visibly undercooked. Furthermore, throughout the evening, the pizza chefs could be heard loudly complaining about something or other and constantly arguing with people waiting for takeout. Perhaps this type of distraction doesn't benefit the overall service and is a bit annoying for those sitting in the dining room. We also noticed that, since the kitchen door behind the register was open, someone was picking up chips from a tray and putting them in a takeout box. The same person had just moments before handled a bill without washing their hands. Furthermore, if any of the managers ever read this review, I recommend showing an itemized bill when paying, rather than simply a "trusted" total. I'm sure the bill was accurate, but why force a customer to leave with some doubts or force them to legitimately ask for a detailed bill before paying? These are my personal opinions, but it obviously doesn't encourage us to return next time, especially since I don't think, after this review, we'd be welcome guests. We'll get over it.

18/01/2026: A very casual restaurant with a variety of chicken dishes. There's a decent variety to choose from. The chicken is very well cooked, but the potatoes are less so. There's a wide selection of fried foods. Service is fast and attentive. Overall, a good place for dinner at reasonable prices.

22/02/2026: The woman at the ticket counter tried to sell me bus tickets to Sorrento for double the price. Four tickets at €2.80 each don't even come to €20. I imagine they sell several thousand tickets a season, so I'm ruling out a mistake (like, "Sorry, I made a typo..."). If something like that happens even just one in three times, they're bound to make a profit!

03/11/2025: Local bar with locals. Atmosphere, that's what this place doesn't lack.. only functional toilets yes :-/

03/08/2026: I visited D'Bar in the evening and particularly enjoyed the outdoor setting. The venue has several outdoor tables, set in a spacious and well-lit space, with covered seating that makes it pleasant to linger even during the cooler hours. The atmosphere is lively yet informal, suitable for both an evening with friends and a more relaxed break. The brightly lit sign and outdoor lighting give the venue a modern and easily recognizable look. During our visit, there were several groups at the tables, but the seating was still well-distributed. Overall, D'Bar seemed like a welcoming place, with a lovely outdoor area and a pleasant atmosphere for spending the evening. A good choice for those looking for a simple, well-kept venue with enough space to comfortably sit with friends.
