14/06/2026: A truly pleasant evening at L'Angelo e il Diavolo in Sordina. Angelo greeted us and seated us in the small square in front of the pizzeria, at a double table near the bench. My girls were immediately won over by this unique arrangement, and were thrilled with it. The square is slightly sloped, and even so, Angelo made sure we were comfortable. He was like, "Don't worry, I'll do everything I can to welcome you as best I can." The table was cleaned and set in a flash, and the table was set in seconds, along with a colleague of his. A level of customer service that is not so easy to come by these days. The menu is full of interesting options and very reasonably priced. In fact, we've already promised ourselves we'll return because we've seen so many other pizzas we'd love to try. We ordered a white pizza with cooked ham, a buffalo mozzarella, a potato and 'nduja pizza, a vegetable pizza, and a potato and sausage pizza, accompanied by a portion of chips, four beers, a water, and a large Coke. The wait was very short, and the pizzas arrived pre-sliced, a detail that those with small children truly appreciate. Thin, well-cooked pizzas, light and with ingredients that convey authenticity from the first bite. They reminded me of homemade pizzas, the kind you enjoy eating without feeling heavy afterward. The dough is well-leavened, very digestible, and never rubbery. The final bill was €64, and I honestly think it's excellent value for money. It's one of those places that's truly worth a visit. A special thanks to my friend Nicola for recommending it to me. And then the dessert... simply sublime. A true delight that my girls devoured with enthusiasm. Thanks to Angelo for his courtesy and professionalism, and congratulations to all the pizza chefs. The only small flaw? I would have liked a little more 'nduja on my pizza... but no problem: next time I'll ask for a double dose! 🤣🌶️🍕 See you soon. 🍕❤️

07/04/2026: Excellent pizza! The staff was kind and friendly. We tried several slices of pizza with various toppings, and they were all excellent. Definitely worth a try!

16/08/2026: I arrived this morning with my boyfriend (who is celiac), considering the various gluten-free options on the official website. We arrived, but found nothing. The staff was very rude, and it was a negative experience. Would not recommend Never again!!!!

23/07/2026: Although we were hesitant, we decided to go in, mostly drawn by the waiter's friendliness. My family and I had an excellent lunch. We sat in the air-conditioned dining room, perfect for escaping the summer heat. We ordered two set menus: two octopus salads, two fried fish, one spaghetti with clams (the best dish!!), and one pacchero pasta with amberjack. Finally, two coffees and a limoncello. Honestly, an excellent experience!! Highly recommended!

20/08/2026: A truly… minimalist aperitif! 😄 They brought us peanuts and chips, the latter probably opened who knows how long ago. When I asked for a simple toasted sandwich, which, obviously, I would have paid for separately, the response was: "We don't have anything left." The waitress, moreover, was neither helpful nor friendly. Let's just say that, given the quality of the aperitif, at least a smile could have been included in the price! Not recommended.

06/08/2026: We ordered takeout pizza many times. Until last Saturday, when we said never again. Aside from the vaguely round shape of the pizzas. Okay. The vegetarian one with raw zucchini. The flavorless capricciosa. The radicchio and gorgonzola one probably had radicchio cream and a gorgonzola substitute. The delivery was terrible. The pizzas were so flattened that the mozzarella was all over the lid of the box. We wasted almost 50 euros. No one ate the pizza. Never again.

08/04/2026: The best pizza by the slice in Monte Mario! Amazing red pizza made the way it used to be, delicious supplì, and a very reasonable price compared to Rome's standards. I recommend it to everyone!!

25/04/2026: I recommend Bar Umberto for its excellent selection of pastries for breakfast, freshly squeezed orange juice, and good coffee. Enzo and his staff will be happy to accommodate your every request. Highly recommended for brunch. They offer express dishes featuring excellent fish and a wide selection of raw and cooked vegetables. You can choose from a well-stocked wine list. A delightful place.

22/08/2026: The location is undoubtedly splendid: the restaurant is located directly on the beach, and the surrounding landscape is truly evocative. Unfortunately, however, the overall experience was very disappointing. I get the feeling that the restaurant is now exclusively geared towards tourists, with prices that, in my opinion, are completely out of proportion and inevitably end up alienating locals. We spent €61 for two first courses (spaghetti with tomato sauce and spaghetti with clams), a glass of unnamed, rather poor-quality wine, and a bottle of still tap water. I consider this to be decidedly excessive, especially considering what was offered. I regret leaving a negative review, especially because the pasta, all things considered, was not bad. However, the price and service made the experience anything but pleasant. I had been to this restaurant 6-7 years ago, and my memory was completely different. I found the atmosphere much simpler, more authentic, and more accessible. Today, however, a logic geared primarily toward tourism and price maximization seems to prevail, to the detriment of the relationship with local customers. Table service was also rather disorganized: the two starters arrived about 20 minutes apart, which is definitely not pleasant when you're sitting at a table together. It must be said that the waiters were kind and helpful, unlike the owner, whom I found arrogant, and the cashier, whom I found rude. In short, a beautiful location, but a disappointing experience. It's a shame, because the place has all the makings of an excellent restaurant, but the prices and organization have deprived it of much of its remembered charm.

20/08/2026: (Beware!!!!! The 5-star reviews appear to be fake — either written by bots or paid for.) During our week on the Amalfi Coast, this was by far the worst restaurant we visited. Yes, arriving by boat for dinner was a very authentic and charming experience, but unfortunately, everything after that was disappointing. The waiters rushed us to order and treated us more like part of a constant “tourist flow” than welcome guests. For a starter, my husband ordered the prawns — and they were a disaster. We have never seen prawns THAT small served in a restaurant. It honestly felt like a joke at the guests’ expense. For my main course, I ordered gnocchi with tomato sauce. The sauce was far too acidic — either they forgot to balance it properly, or there is something fundamentally wrong with the recipe. I ate half of it only because I was hungry. There are much better restaurants to choose from along the Amalfi Coast.

04/06/2026: It's my historic pizzeria! I've known pizza chef Gerardo D'Auria since he first arrived in Salerno on Via Torrione and then on Via Martiri Ungeresi. It's a pizzeria close to the people and for the people.
