Putea In Cava de' tirreni

My husband and I dined on the evening of May 1st at this lovely restaurant, located outside Cava dei Tirreni but easily accessible by car following GPS directions. The atmosphere is cozy and pleasant. We dined inside because it was a bit chilly, but the restaurant also has a delightful outdoor seating area with a mountain view and under the trees. The restaurant itself is also very pleasant and tastefully decorated inside. The dishes are tasty, simple yet sophisticated in preparation and presentation. The meat selection is excellent, as is the wine list. A truly pleasant discovery.

A refined venue, a harmonious atmosphere, and impeccable service. The food is excellent, with nothing left to chance. You can sense the great attention paid to each guest, complemented by a cheerful and welcoming staff.

Suggested by our friend Daniele… we would never have found it without him… you have to know it… going up the mountains from Cava… we find ourselves in Santi Quaranta… a former Putea… a crossroads for the whole town… with the telephone booth… which is now the access to the bathroom… a place full of true history, elegantly displayed giving value to the past as it should be… if you are lucky enough to have a nice day you can have lunch in the little square overlooking the mountains (Monti Lattari), cool on hot days… a few dishes but well prepared, tasty and with all the flavors of the South… to taste we shared the dishes… parmigiana, melted provola with anduja and orange and lemon zest, cream of asparagus, peas, broad beans… pasta and potatoes with cruschi peppers… candele alla genovese… sliced ​​Simmenthal… originating from the place and not the little tin you imagine, sashi hamburger (real beef!!), potatoes and artichokes… asparagus wild... then sweets... caprese... apple pie... strawberries... an unmissable experience... you have to come... with a reservation I fear that since it is such a niche you risk not being able to find a place... but always try!!!

Beautiful restaurant just outside Cava dei Tirreni. The owner and staff are very hospitable and courteous. Beautiful outdoor space. The food is excellent. High-quality ingredients. The wine selection is extensive. The grilled meats are also top-notch. Not exactly cheap, but worth it. The parmigiana is superb! The cheeses are exceptional!
