31/10/2024: Sono tornato in questa pizzeria, dopo un po di tempo, e devo dire che sono rimasto piacevolmente sorpreso, la pizza è molto migliorata, infatti ora agli ingredienti di qualità hanno aggiunto un ottimo impasto, e soprattutto hanno eliminato quella che nella mia precedente recensione indicavo come il problema del locale, l'assenza di parcheggio, che hanno risolto allestendo un parcheggio privato adiacente alla pizzeria. Complimenti.

23/11/2024: If you are on the motorway near Padula, you absolutely must stop to eat at Picchio Nero. Nice, welcoming atmosphere in a modern style. The staff in the room were very kind and friendly, as well as professional. The food was all spectacular from the starters to the first courses and the meat-based second courses. But for me the 🔝 of the 🔝 were the pizzas. All leavened perfectly, with the right amount of salt, light, cooked perfectly with the great skill of the pizza chef and rolled out thinly with a high, crunchy edge. I ate the bufalina and went back 30 years, when I went to eat pizza at Negri's in Pontecagnano with my grandparents and parents. Truly spectacular. Thank you for the lovely evening spent and for your kindness and professionalism. I'll be back to see you soon.

13/10/2024: I give full marks for the pizza, which is more like a cloud than a pizza: very soft dough, leavened to perfection, perhaps the best marinara I've ever eaten. Other things to review, for example the Mediterranean fried food.

11/02/2025: I met Antonio (the pizza chef) during the flooring work at his house and I was invited to try his pizza. It was a very pleasant surprise: quality ingredients, perfect cooking and a truly unique flavour. An experience that I recommend to everyone! Congratulations to Antonio, a true master.

13/10/2024: A splendid place! Reachable either by sea or by stairs, in both cases it is a spectacle of nature! Sea and mountains that blend perfectly. I spent a very relaxing day there. I had a wonderful lunch there based on fish, the dishes are simple but with excellent raw materials and tasty combinations. I recommend it!

01/05/2025: La nostra esperienza è stata completamente negativa, premessa: era pranzo e il menu era fisso. Dopo averci servito l’antipasto abbiamo aspettato invano per 1 ora (cronometrata) i primi. Abbiamo così deciso di lasciare il locale e al momento di pagare il solo antipasto per 3 persone, ci sono state chieste ben 50€ che ci siamo rifiutati di pagare concordando alla fine una spesa di 30€. Contemporaneamente altri due tavolate hanno fatto notare che il primo da loro ordinano (lo stesso nostro) era immangiabile. A voi le giuste considerazioni.

You can't find a better place than this! I will definitely return to taste one of the specialties on the menu which is vast. The most sincere compliments to this pub!

05/04/2025: A grill restaurant different from the others. This alone should be enough to go there. Adding to the fact that you can eat a good slab of beef without fainting. The Mexican food is also done well, simple, but done well. The prices are really correct.

31/03/2025: My husband and I spent the last days of our trip, we wanted to rest and it was achieved. Its facilities are in excellent condition, which is difficult in places facing the sea and in the low season. Their restaurant always works and food is good. The staff is very friendly and supports you in whatever you need, helping us with a very late check in due to inconvenience on the road. The room is very nice with a beautiful view. Excellent to get peace and quiet, opening that window and sitting on the balcony and having the sea in front of you was wonderful. The bathroom, the heating, the refrigerator, everything worked perfectly.

25/03/2025: Large structure, spread over several floors (pay attention to those with mobility problems). Well-organised rooms, with ample equipment and a reasonable price for the minibar. Winter use needs to be improved with the possibility of having a well heated bathroom.

22/03/2025: Good but not great I took a devil and some pancakes the pancakes were excellent the only problem was that they were slightly saltier than normal however regarding the pizza the mozzarella and tomato dough were excellent however the salami was disgusting and inedible so much so that I discarded it
