02/07/2026: The spit is the history of Laceno, an undisputed and obligatory stop, I have been linked since I was a child to this restaurant and to the family that has run it for over 40 years from Angelo the creator to today his son Nicola who has carried on the whole business for years, always fresh and top products, typical and homely cuisine, always with an excellent quality/price ratio, always impeccable service, it is always like feeling at home with delicacies to taste, I hope it will always be there for another 50 years. 15/05/2026: We ate an excellent Florentine steak with fried potatoes and porcini mushrooms, a focaccia and a bottle of good wine recommended for both pizza and meat. In fact, if you want to eat phenomenal meat in Avellino and the province, Baciami is the ideal place.

In recent years, the owner has introduced new products using top-quality ingredients; Tarts, biscuits, and high-quality leavened pastries that I hadn't had the chance to appreciate before, revealing their mastery of what they do. With every bite, I appreciate the high quality, the attention to detail, the meticulous packaging, and last but not least... a scent that takes me home.

07/06/2026: Family lunch—my wife, my son, and I. Service was a bit slow (too many people, too few waiters), but the staff was friendly and helpful from the start. We didn't order an appetizer, but I think it's worth a try. For the first course, we ordered paccheri with sausage and cherry tomatoes, which wasn't great for me. My son had orecchiette with tomato sauce, which was good. Unfortunately, the meat wasn't top-quality, too tough, and it smelled a bit stale. The mozzarella didn't make it. The place is cute and very quaint, but I'd make it more attractive with antique ornaments or utensils. It gave me the impression of an old inn. The outside was very shabby. Lots of potential, but underutilized.

Each dish surprises with its quality, creativity, and harmonious flavors, leading guests on a journey that positively transports them to their taste buds. An extremely positive experience.

16/02/2026: At Maeba, we spent a delightful evening trying the six-course tasting menu, which, although at the chef's discretion, took into account our preferences indicated at the time of booking. The experience was very positive, focusing on vegetables and "humble" yet surprisingly enhanced ingredients: pumpkin, fennel, carrot, artichoke, and mushrooms. All the dishes offered were original, enjoyable, and well-balanced. Special mention goes to the appetizer with fennel, almond fondue, and lemon and orange gel; to the main course, pork tenderloin with charred leek cream and fried artichoke; and, last but not least, the tartlet with Annurca apple, almond cream, and cinnamon. The setting is very characteristic, nestled in the countryside, inside a restored old olive oil mill. The service is characterized by the utmost attention to guests, who are truly pampered, given that the restaurant has only four tables. The owner/waiter immediately made us feel at ease, engaging in a pleasant conversation where we could share our opinions on each dish we tasted. Furthermore, the fact that each new dish was a surprise made the tasting experience more interesting and less predictable, especially since the surprises that followed were all original and very tasty. The price was absolutely fair considering the quality, variety, and length of the menu. Overall, a highly recommended experience that I would definitely like to repeat.

08/12/2025: Chosen for lunch after reading about it in Luciano Pignataro's column, it immediately lived up to expectations. The location is modern and elegant, with a refined table setting. The wait staff is attentive and knowledgeable. The truffle-filled egg in its nest was fabulous, as was the potato millefeuille. Followed by tagliolini with a generous portion of white truffle and perfectly glazed ravioli del plin. Finally, we indulged in the duck in the woods, a bold yet perfectly balanced flavor. The desserts were delicious, and the bill was fair. Highly recommended.
