We were charged 1,5 euros extra for "coperto" which is classic in Italy, but not when it's stipulated neither on the menu, nor the bill (especially when there's no service or even cutlery)! PS: Don't let the chirping cuckoo clock distract you, it's all part of his setup...

21/09/2025: I had the "Cheese Burger 48" with French fries and a DOP pinsa. I had a Leffe Ambree to drink. I found the burger and bun a bit dry, the bacon was very good, and the fries were neither good nor bad. The real plus was the mayonnaise, which in my opinion was homemade and truly excellent. As for the pinsa, what can I say? The dough was really light and crispy, and you could tell from a mile away that it's been left to rise for a long time, making it very digestible. The tomato and mozzarella were good but not exceptional, and overall a bit salty. The beer selection was limited, but there's something for everyone. The final bill for six people was €140, so in line with the average for other places in the capital. (If you overdo it with the drinks and order desserts and sweets, the price goes up significantly.) Regarding the location, I really appreciated the bathroom, which was meticulously clean. However, I found the Christmas lights on the wall on September 20th a bit out of place. The service was quite quick and efficient. Overall, it wasn't my best dining experience, but it certainly wasn't bad. I might have to come back to try something else. See you next time.

06/09/2025: Nice place, great outdoor seating, but better table lighting is needed. Contrary to what I've read in various reviews, the prices aren't low, but they're average; the meat is good, and the sharing plates are good. The options are lacking, however: there's gluten-free, but no lactose-free options; a shame in 2025, because the buffalo mozzarella alone (which isn't lactose-free, but is low in lactose) isn't a sufficient option for those with lactose intolerances.

10/05/2026: I went there for lunch with my family, four of us. Without a reservation, they seated us at a table for eight (the room was half full) without a wait. We ordered à la carte and, despite it not being crowded, waited over an hour for service. A house appetizer included 1/4 mozzarella (!), a thin slice of provolone rind, and some other cheeses (see photo), (decent) cold cuts, a whole plate (?) of zucchini in oil, and three pieces of fairly indecipherable flans. The pasta with creamed pumpkin and provolone was just acceptable (but the guanciale was boiled), while the cutlet with fries my daughter chose was decent. But my picanha, described as "very tender and juicy," turned out just as pictured: two pieces of overcooked grilled paillard with two unseasoned half-potatoes and a forkful of vegetables. I mention this to the owner, who offers to bring another, and indeed the second one is much better; it was the right cut of meat, though certainly not grilled as indicated on the menu. Oh, and the second portion comes without any sides. When paying, I'm told that "the kitchen hadn't felt like cutting the meat," incredible but true. No apology, perhaps they subtracted €2 from the price of the picanha. A place that can only appeal to people who have never eaten anywhere else, that's all. It's a shame, because it has a lovely outdoor garden and boasts about being a "grill" as well...

01/01/2026: We're here for New Year's Eve with a large group of friends. I communicated well in advance that we needed a vegetarian menu, and everything went very well, except for the lentils, which were served as a New Year's greeting. They were cooked with cotechino and served without cotechino on the plate. The waiter apologized, but it's a shame I lost all my enthusiasm for dining. Even at a large event, more attention should be paid in the kitchen before bringing the food to the table. Slow service, limited staff. We sat down at 8:00 PM and started dinner at 9:30 PM. Last but not least, you'll have to review the band chosen to celebrate New Year's Eve because they only played songs for people over 70, mazurkas, tangos, waltzes, and polkas on loop. How sad...many people remained seated out of anxiety.

05/01/2026: Terrible! It piles up passengers and makes you arrive late at your destination. Moreover, at the airport we had booked and paid for both the outbound and return flights, and on the day of our departure they gave us a departure time (3 hours before the flight), a time they had chosen, by the way. Too bad the van arrived late, never responded to our messages or phone calls, and almost made us miss our flight. Shortly before it arrived, out of desperation, we also called a Bolt, which we cancelled shortly before arrival and therefore also paid for the ride. I can understand the unexpected, but at least answer the phone or let them know about the delay, just as they sent a text message the night before to communicate the new time (half an hour later)... it was devastating to stand in the middle of the street in the cold for over an hour, worried about missing our flight! Never again Minibud, and I will give terrible publicity to anyone coming to Budapest! And in any case, in addition to this review, I plan to write an email to the company!

11/10/2025: The products are mediocre.... The prices are excessive for a small town. Another very important thing is the owner's manners, which need to be improved. He speaks to you and serves you as if he were doing you a favor. He's unsociable and unwelcoming! I won't be returning and I strongly advise against it!

15/08/2025: After a morning spent among the serene waterfalls of San Fele, we chose L'Usignolo restaurant for our Ferragosto lunch. The experience, however, was marred by a few disappointing details worth mentioning. At the time of booking, we were asked for a 50% deposit via bank transfer, an unusual practice, but one we accepted given the unique nature of the day. Upon our arrival, before even being seated, we were asked to pay the full amount for lunch. This approach, more akin to that of a fast-food restaurant than a traditional restaurant, created a rather unpleasant and unwelcoming atmosphere. Once inside, the setting truly transported us to the past. The decor, seemingly from the 1970s with a slight update in the 1990s, has remained unchanged over time. Despite the feeling of a place "frozen in time," the overall cleanliness and order were not lacking. To complete the experience, live music in the style of a Romagna dance hall accompanied our meal, an element that, unfortunately, didn't fit well with the idea of a relaxed lunch. The menu matched the restaurant's retro atmosphere. We tried dishes such as mezzepccheri with confit cherry tomatoes, speck, and chopped pistachios, a lasagna with artichokes and béchamel sauce, and roast suckling pig with potatoes. Despite our concerns about the ambiance, the food was a positive: the dishes were decidedly enjoyable and well-prepared. L'Usignolo restaurant offers honest and enjoyable cuisine, but the overall experience was marred by inattentive customer service and a dated atmosphere. If you're looking for good food and don't mind an old-fashioned setting (and paying in advance), it might be a decent choice, but for a more modern and welcoming experience, you might want to look elsewhere.

01/06/2026: A peaceful haven in Maratea Found it by chance while strolling through the center. The owners are incredibly kind and helpful. Excellent food quality and generous portions!

11/08/2025: A crudaiola was made with mozzarella, flakes of fresh cheese, 3 or 4 small pieces of tomato and a pinch of rocket. I was disappointed.

05/04/2026: On Easter Sunday, wandering through the woods, we came across this welcoming and charming farmhouse, with a sweeping view, enhanced by the first beautiful spring day. The food, good and authentic, as Lucanian food is by tradition...with generous portions to suit all tastes... We had an appetizer and a first course, and we were already full... I recommend stopping here if you need a break...it's worth it... But I want to emphasize the most important aspect: the kindness and understanding typical of the Lucanians is epitomized by the owner. It was our fault we hadn't considered the à la carte menu, which was also a great price, but didn't meet our needs (we were just passing through and had another stop awaiting us). He didn't hesitate, he immediately made himself available to make an exception, understanding the situation, and immediately offered us the option... even though the dining room was packed. In my area, not everyone would have done it, so hats off to him, and considering the quality of the products, let's just say we're in the clear: the overall impression is entirely positive. Stop here and enjoy these moments... Recommended!

20/11/2025: 🍝 - Food: 1/5 🛎️ - Service 3/5 📍 - Location & Atmosphere 1/5 In short: lots of smoke (from the arugula) and no roast (or rather, no Aglianico!). I visited Black Pepper in Potenza with my mouth watering for a 300g tagliata from the menu, which upon arrival turned out to be more of a "arugula tartare" with submerged meat, and I had the feeling that those grams were a mirage and at the same time the certainty that the bill would be steep. The discomfort, rather than lessening, increased when, as a true Lucanian, I asked for a local Aglianico and was told that the cellar was "being dismantled": in a Lucanian restaurant that focuses on quality meat, it's a bit like going to the beach and discovering the water has run out. The experience reached tragicomic heights in the bathroom, between broken handles and faulty faucets—in short, an adventure! My advice is: it's better to focus on a single specialty and deliver it like a pro, than to raise expectations in the customer and then serve up a "horror tavern" experience. So far, my experience has been disappointing, and Black Pepper needs a wake-up call.
