21/02/2026: A gift of a star. Absolutely avoid this place. All the food is low-quality and the fish is frozen. You'll feel sick. DO NOT GO!
17/02/2026: Close it, you'll be quicker. The bathrooms smelled like they were transporting you to the afterlife. Thanks for the frozen food.
PS: It was a sub-brand.

04/09/2025: Poor quality food!!! The sales assistant was hysterical. When I pointed out that I hadn't received the cake we'd ordered—the one I was counting on, since the rest was terrible—she sent me packing... Go somewhere else in Maratea, there are so many excellent places with decent people.

31/05/2026: This was our first time at Monticchio Laghi. Unfamiliar with the place, we ordered two sandwiches for €8 each. They weren't particularly special, and we were told that the sandwiches are takeout only and you can't reserve tables just for sandwiches. We then went up to the abbey where we found a bar that was doing outrageous paninazzi for €5 and platters for €10. We only had ice cream and coffee, but we were comfortably seated. Next time, we know where to go directly :).. Take a look.
25/05/2026: Despite the already high prices for the modest quality of the product, when we got the bill we found a further increase. They justified themselves by saying that they had given us the old menu but the increase was still higher than that indicated on the new menu. Fortunately, they understood that we were not tourists to be fleeced and angrily removed the increase without even apologizing. Highly not recommended, the staff is not very honest. If we had not paid attention to the bill we would have left ourselves almost 30 euros more.

03/06/2026: We were the only customers (we are early birds, come dinner time) the food was great, made us push the boundaries of comfortable choices. If and slight criticism then it was salty for our taste.
31/05/2026: Excellent cuisine, attentive service, and a charming location. I don't usually write reviews, but in this case I did because the negative reviews I read before going (and which almost convinced me not to) were absolutely unfair.

28/12/2025: Everyone's eating outside because the designated area is unusable, and the restrooms, including the accessible one, are closed. It's a disgrace.

After an hour of queuing, there wasn't even a chance to go to the bathroom. The bathrooms were out of order, they said.

27/11/2025: Terrible, except for one person who saves the day. Today, November 27th, at 2:15 PM, a guy at the drive-thru, after more than 20 minutes of waiting, refused to issue the invoice for my order because it was messed up. I told him I'd leave my information and they could do it directly online, as required by law, but he said no. Besides, I was already registered.
21/11/2025: One of the worst and I was generous in giving it one star...not to mention how cold it is inside the place with the two broken and wide open doors...in November seeing people eating with their jacket hoods on their heads...everything is terrible including the rude staff.

01/12/2025: Pizza by the slice made in an electric oven. The dough is simply fabulous. You can tell they've been making pizza for generations. If you're passing through Potenza, you absolutely have to stop by.
