27/07/2025: What can I say about this place? Calling it a restaurant is an insult to the category. My experience here began years ago, when, after years of taking out because my aunt lived nearby, we went for lunch and were placed in a spot where my aunt, who is visually impaired, had to climb a step (a high one for her, being short) without any support except us relatives. The bathroom? Accessible via other stairs, no ramp. In short, definitely not suitable for people with mobility issues, and there's no real bathroom for those in this category. Inclusion hasn't been achieved. We tried to give it a second chance tonight, hoping things had changed, but if we're here and you only see one star, evidently not: the menu was poor, we had to keep asking for water, half an hour for the fries to arrive, an hour after arriving (table set for 9:00 PM, fries arrived at 10:15 PM), and another good half hour for the pizzas, due to our requests. The excuse? "We're full," highlighting the restaurant's irresponsibility: and you know you can't handle it, they say, "I can give you the table at 10 pm" (or hire more staff) instead of keeping us in suspense for so long. Add to this the subpar food, the poor-quality ingredients, my sister's pizza with a fried egg where the egg was practically raw, and finally, having noticed on the way out that they were cooking without gloves and smoking. Disgusting.

26/07/2025: Servizio terribile: 2 ore ad aspettare 9 pizze, 3 piatti di patatine e 1 un piatto di panzerottini. Nel menù non ci sono le pizze bianche, molto male, il costo era giusto ma non l'attesa. Tavolo prenotato per le 21.00, usciti alle 23.34, inaccettabile. Le pizze erano buone però ad una pizza al prosciutto cotto, cadeva il condimento, ad una pizza le olive nere erano messe all'ultimo secondo, ad un'altra pizza l'uovo era così crudo che traballava sulla pizza. L'aria condizionata non era accesa. Soprattutto, appena usciti si vedeva la cucina e un cuoco stava fumando e cucinano senza guanti, che schifo.

26/07/2025: After a long three-hour motorcycle ride, this pub at the Monticchio Lakes was the perfect stop for a rejuvenating lunch. We were greeted with great warmth and kindness by a truly friendly host. The view of the lake is simply enchanting: relaxing and evocative, ideal for enjoying a lunch surrounded by nature. The traditional food is delicious and authentic, perfect for those seeking genuine local flavors. Recommended for those who want to eat well in a peaceful atmosphere surrounded by nature!

23/04/2025: Pizza ottima, anche se forse me l'aspettavo più condita, ma sono gusti. Abbiamo ordinato alle 8.20 consegna prevista 21.55, anche se un po' strano una consegna così tarda in settimana non ci siamo fatti domande. Ho dovuto chiamare due volte la pizzeria, per fortuna almeno sono arrivate calde. La pizza ottima, veramente un peccato il ritardo.

08/08/2025: Dopo un bagno nelle acque cristalline di Maratea, siamo stati a fare un giretto nel borgo alto. All’ora di pranzo abbiamo cercato questo posto che ha dei tavolini all’aperto in un crocicchio di viuzze, coperti da ombrelloni. Il titolare, alla mano e disponibile, ci ha accolti e ha proposto panini al capocollo e caciocavallo, e crespelle con pomodori e mozzarella. Un pranzo veloce senza pretese, i panini buoni ma non troppo ricchi di imbottitura, la frisella merita, prezzi nella media.

08/08/2025: Un posto carinissimo tra i vicoli del centro storico, scoperto per caso ma siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti, la selezione di salumi del posto con i formaggi sono stati eccezionali così come la nduja. Il titolare persona gentile e simpatica. Consigliatissimo

25/07/2025: Lunch with friends after returning from a trip, menu neither good nor bad, honest prices, good pizzas, excellent sparkling white wine served chilled in glass jugs.

18/07/2025: We found this place by accident—a wrong turn off the highway after a hot, sun-soaked day swimming in Lago Maggiore. One of those little roadside spots you don’t plan for, but end up grateful for anyway. Camellias Caffè served up exactly what we needed: cold drinks, pizza for the kids, and a glass of house wine that hit like a reward. Pretty sure they were closed when we wandered in, but they served us anyway—with zero fuss and genuine hospitality. The food was simple, unpretentious. Pizzas were crisp, the sauce just sweet enough, and the staff kind despite our swim-weary appearance. It’s not a place you’d write home about, but in that moment, under a too-bright sun with wet and hungry kids, it was perfect enough. Call it a lucky detour.

01/06/2025: More than a hotel it seemed like a disco. I advise you, before going to stay overnight, if they have parties banquets or other that same evening otherwise do not sleep. I had to call the reception twice both times after midnight because the music was too loud, and to top it off around 2 am fireworks. Terrible service, poor breakfast.

17/05/2025: A truly fantastic hotel. It's located on the main road, so you can quickly reach the nearby cultural highlights: Melfi, Acerenza, Potenza, Rionera in Vulture, Abbazia San Michele, Venosa, Muro Lucano, Picerno, ... Very friendly, very nice staff at reception and in the restaurant. They are helpful with any questions. I felt completely at home during my three-day stay. Thanks a million, best regards Josef

29/07/2025: I went for the first time a couple of years ago, and the food was good, and the service was satisfactory. I returned this week and noticed a change, both in the quality of the food and the level of service, which was terrible. The waitress was rude and unprofessional. I'm sorry to leave this review; I felt uncomfortable; it was almost as if she was doing me a favor by letting me eat there.

27/07/2025: The pizza was neither good nor bad, but let's draw a veil over the service. When we asked for a red beer, they didn't even know what it was; when we asked for a peach tea, they didn't have any. From the expressions of the two waiters—let's call them that—it seemed like they were doing us a favor by feeding us, all for the modest sum of 60 euros for four.

04/08/2025: Everything was great, the staff were very kind and welcoming. Nice background music, outdoor tables were nicely arranged among plants and flowerpots, and in a concrete area, it's nice to be surrounded by greenery. It was well-attended, the food was good, and the prices were all in all reasonable. Just a small tip: it would be better to serve bottled mineral water instead of the usual filtered water. 🤗

20/07/2025: The food was decent, the atmosphere was nice, but the service was truly awful. Aside from the fact that some of the order requests weren't honored—which can be overlooked (due to an oversight, a bit of confusion, or forgetfulness)—the clearing of full plates and glasses when someone gets up for a cigarette is just not normal! Halfway through the meal, I still had half of the pinsa on my plate, and the other person's glass still had the drink. We got up for a cigarette, and the table was completely cleared! I can understand empty plates and glasses, but it's not normal for someone to clear my plate while I'm eating! They offered to remake the plate and the cocktail, but honestly, we just wanted to leave. The result? Not even a discount at the register for the terrible service. I'm sorry, but I doubt I'll ever return.

13/07/2025: “I just had lunch at this restaurant and was absolutely blown away! The seafood was delicious, with dishes prepared with attention to detail and of excellent quality. But what really impressed me was how impeccably clean the entire place was, from the bathroom to the dining room, where even the fake flowers were dust-free! The service was fantastic, thanks to Francesco, the waiter, and the chef and owner, who were both very kind. The quality/price ratio was excellent. The only downside is that it's in Potenza and I live in Martina Franca, so it's a bit far from my home. But if I were closer, it would have become my regular place! 😊 But I'll be back soon because it's definitely worth the trip.”

23/06/2025: Pasta with seafood: The kind waiter brings me the empty plate for the scraps, the lemon napkin and also offers to put a bib on me so I don't get dirty. I really expect great things. After 20 minutes my plate of at least 200g of pasta arrives with some leftover seafood salad. 3 rickety squid rings, 3 hard shrimp larvae and a handful of mussels as big as a caper. Usually pasta with leftovers tastes of vinegar but this one doesn't, so it doesn't deserve a low rating, but I assure the chef that the salt has remained in the kitchen and any other flavor has never even left the fish counter. I ask for spicy and the kind waiter leaves me a bottle bottom with pepper-scented oil. To each his own job. At least on Sundays they are open and I'm not starving in Potenza but I digested at 7 this morning, maybe.
