23/02/2025: Unfortunately, my experience in this pizzeria was disappointing and I was very dissatisfied. The pizza, unfortunately, was overcooked and not very tasty. The dough seemed more hard than crunchy, and the quality of the ingredients didn't convince me. Furthermore, the service was slow, and even though there weren't many people, we had to wait longer than expected to be served. The staff also didn't seem very attentive or friendly.

01/01/2025: What can I say.... We've been here waiting for over half an hour. They tell you to wait 20 minutes and make you pay... After 45 minutes, they also reply annoyed! In the meantime, there are also those who have had their money returned because they are tired of waiting. Great disorganization throughout. Who knows if it's worth waiting so long!! At this point I don't feel like giving even one star

04/10/2024: Small pizzeria but which churns out good, well-leavened and digestible pizzas: I tried the timbale and it was mouth-watering, then a Norwegian pizza. Convenient prices

09/03/2025: Bella giornata di sole , arriviamo alle 14:00 a Monticchio, molti dei principali ristorantini sono ancora chiusi, aperto solo il Mapalù risto pub, un gentiluomo che ci accoglie: “ aspettavamo solo voi!” Ci accomodiamo dentro, fa ancora un po’ freddino , ordiniamo un solo antipasto, un primo ed un secondo da dividere in coppia. La scelta delle portate è limitata ad un solo tipo di antipasto ed un solo primo, per i secondi 4 le scelte, di cui tre a base di maiale ed una di vitello. Dopo 50 minuti di logorante attesa finalmente arriva l’ antipasto con un adeguato quantitativo di salumi ma con due tristissime “ostie” di un non ben indentificato formaggio ed una sottilissima fettina di pecorino. Il gentiluomo commenta la velocità con cui abbiamo divorato l’antipasto… per la serie: “uhh so’ arrivati i polli di questa domenica, mo li sfotto un po’” (ho immaginato io ) . Dopo dieci minuti ci serve il primo ( orecchiette alla lucana per cui previsti funghi e salsiccia) che, manco fossimo da Cracco a Milano, il gentiluomo ci sporziona in due piattini da frutta ( 🫣) che dire .. orecchiette sfatte sciape, incollate e soprattutto fredde, senza funghi, senza salsiccia e con un colorito appena aranciato ( ma ci stava il pomodoro amò? Boh? ), infine una porzione di carne arrostita mista di maiale (ordinata per una persona) due fette .. ops scusate volevo dire due solette di capocollo più tre salsicce anch’esse durissime ( cotte chissà da quante ore prima ) con due spicchi di limone e dieci foglie di rucola scondita! alla fine la cosa più ironica … il conto : abbiamo pagato l’ antipasto per uno 16€, il primo 12€ ( corretto) il secondo ( anch’esso ordinato per una sola persona) 20€, il pane 3€ , un calice di vino a testa 4 €, il coperto 2€ a testa … 63 € in tutto. Esperienza da dimenticare, meno male siamo ancora innamorati! Grazie

09/11/2024: The menu was really limited (perhaps due to low season), the dishes were good and the service was fast (also because there were no other customers at that time) but the prices were decidedly high.

06/10/2024: The pastries are good, especially the dessert from Maratea, a historic bar

31/08/2024: Stop for a sandwich and a salad. The salad was advertised with an inviting photo and the description said that there was Maratea mozzarella, tomatoes and typical frisella... the waitress specified that they would add onions, olives, corn and carrots. The dish brought was meager and contained half a base of iceberg lettuce with a few slices of cucumbers and carrots, a few grains of corn, very few pieces of tomato, three (I mean literally three) small pieces of mozzarella and three or 4 fillets of onion and in the the other half a small frisella. The whole thing cost 8 euros, I think their investment was maybe 3/4 euros. The sandwich was also understuffed. Total cost with a small bottle of water 17 euros. I understand having a margin, but this seems too much to me. Not recommended.
