02/11/2024: Caffè Viggiano is an obligatory stop every time we return to Basilicata. Typical village bar, with excellent pastry and rotisserie. Reasonable prices and very friendly staff! I recommend it 🔝

29/10/2024: Arrived in Barile on Saturday 26 October, at 9.00 pm, the lady from the B&B recommended this restaurant to us. Small, with a bar at the entrance, but a large outdoor area also equipped with a nice playground for children. The waiter and the owner's wife were very friendly and helpful; we asked for a plate of pasta with sauce for the little girl and they brought us some delicious orecchiette with cheese. We took 2 plates of house starters and then ordered a plate of lamb and 3 steaks, all really good and plentiful, cooked perfectly and served quite quickly. We chose a bottled Aglianico, seeing as there was a wide choice of wines, very good (€15. I think) and then 1/4 of loose wine which wasn't bad. In total €100.

21/02/2025: Terrible experience!!! Starting from the rudeness and the total lack of empathy towards the customer... people who at the slightest request appear nervous and annoyed, in my humble opinion, should not be in the public eye, in fact, they would do better to close their doors. Especially considering the poor quality of the products, at the limits of saleability. Nearby there are many other places with decidedly lower prices but above all of quality, exactly what neither the products nor the people who find themselves here have. Highly not recommended!!!

10/10/2024: We can't understand the few bad reviews at all. We ate two sensationally delicious pizzas yesterday and both were extremely delicious. Definitely 5 stars from us.

11/11/2024: We had a "fish" dinner! Terrible quality, the clams were unpleasant and smelly, the anchovies and squid were really worth throwing to the cats! The farmed sea bream fillet was edible! I strongly advise against it! Absurd prices for what they offer.

01/11/2024: Very delicious food, nice service, fantastic views. The restaurant was open for lunch, which is an exceptional situation in Italy. The food is delicious and everyone can find something for themselves.

22/10/2024: Ottimo posticino dove gustare una cucina locale, semplice ma veramente ottima. L'accoglienza è familiare e davvero piacevole. Il locale è datato, ma a me è piaciuto tanto così, perchè si respira appunto un clima familiare molto piacevole. Ottimo vino, ottimi funghi, ottima carne e i biscottini finali sono stati il top. Sono stata accolta benchè fosse tardi e trattata coi guanti. Consigliatissimo. Prezzi contenuti.

26/03/2025: Welcoming, perfect for feeling at home. I often go to dinner at the guys' place on Tuesday evenings, a youthful place with lots of choice. Yesterday I tried chickpea hummus and bufalino bun and the inevitable pistachio cheesecake. Recommended

05/11/2024: Bellissimo posto incantevole. I proprietari gentili e molto educati, accoglienti e disponibili...per non parlare del cibo abbondante e oltre che di qualita' e prelibatezza!!!!

27/10/2024: Siamo stati ospiti in questa caratteristica struttura in occasione del periodo delle castagne, abbiamo anche pernottato preso le l'oro stanze a 400 MT dal rifugio. Che dire un posto molto caratteristico con cucina culinaria del posto,partendo dalla colazione alla cena, prodotti locali e km 0,tutti naturali e locali. Un weekend da relax.
