30/08/2024: 2 days before we were there we met the owner on our walk. Very very friendly. When we said we didn't have a vehicle she told us we should come at 7pm instead of 8pm when they open. We did that too and she gave us a nice place. We then ate bruschetta twice, wonderfully fresh small tomatoes with rocket and dried peppers. Then a pizza salami and a capricossa. We drank cola and shandy. We felt good in this pizzeria today. When we paid we had €27 on the bill for everything. At the end we wanted to say goodbye and thank you when the boss asked a man to drive us to our facility, 2.5 km away. Really great on the unlit streets, thank you Grazie. 31/08/2025: Pasticceria Carlone has been my go-to shop in Nova Siri for years. The fresh pastries are excellent, but their highlight is undoubtedly their almond pastries: I won't describe them because the only way to understand is to try them! The icing on the cake? The owners' courtesy, always available and friendly.

16/08/2025: Wonderful beach. Plenty of space between the umbrellas, and the owners are friendly and available for any request. An oasis of tranquility and hospitality. Highly recommended!!!

23/08/2025: You make us ashamed of being from Matera, first of all, because it's true that Matera has become untouchable, and often unjustifiably so. Then it also makes us angry if we're the ones being ripped off. For two, we consume a small plate of carpaccio for €5, a microscopic platter of cured meats and cheeses for €10. So far, almost normal... But consuming a medium-sized rib-eye steak, because I didn't have the pleasure of seeing it being cut, of barely aged heifer, completely devoid of marbling, dry, €47... FORTY-SEVEN euros. Mineral water. Total €70. The next day I ate fish at a seaside restaurant in Puglia, a full meal for two for €75. Shame!!

04/10/2025: 5 days in the Sassi of Matera, with another couple of friends, from September 30th to this morning, 4:10am We ate 7 meals. We went to this restaurant on Thursday evening. I recommend booking in advance. The atmosphere is quiet, without loud music, the staff are friendly and always smiling, the food is excellent: tart, sausage with baked potatoes, orecchiette. We had lunch à la carte. Prices are similar to other restaurants in the city, between 35 and 40 euros. Gaudianello water is served in glass bottles, not plastic. No bottled wine...paid by card. Recommended.

01/06/2025: Pranzo da dimenticare.. 01.06. Il cameriere ha annotato la nostra comanda alle 14.. Ma aihme abbiamo dovuto attendere 2 ore per gustare un immangiabile raviolo cacio e pepe e uno spaghetto alle vongole( questo dal sapore buono). A una delle bambine (tra l'altro celiaca) è toccata una sorte peggiore.. Una pennetta al sugo completamente cruda(la cucina per azzittire le nostre bocche ha pensato di far uscire comunque la pasta dopo tutta quella attesa) . I camerieri non hanno avuto nemmeno la bontà di intrattenerci con acqua e pane.. La mia bimba per la fame ha mangiato tutto il pane gluten free della cuginetta. Ci siamo alzati affamati e pagando una cifra spropositata...ah dimenticavo.. Il ristorante cucina senza glutine ma bisogna aspettare che finisca di cucinare per tutti.. E dimenticatevi la cotoletta che è un must nel menù dei bambini se ci andate con un bimbo celiaco!

05/06/2025: Delicious pizzas for local prices where you sit among the locals. While eating your pizza you can do your laundry in the adjacent laundromat and dry it. Recommended!

06/09/2025: A simply surreal experience. There were 12 of us, including 7 children, and we just wanted to order pizzas for dinner. I showed up at 7:30 PM to place my order and pay in advance: the response was, "We don't take orders. Come at 9:00 PM and we'll make them for you." Unusual, but I trusted them. At 9:00 PM I returned, hoping that at least the children could eat. The lady at the cash register—rude and clearly annoyed—didn't even have the courage to look in: she disappeared. After minutes of waiting, I asked the pizza chef, who started counting the dough balls and candidly told me, "I can't make them for you." No explanation, no alternative. Just a dismissal with, "Go ahead, there's another pizzeria." The result? A broken promise, no professionalism, total disorganization, and zero respect for families with children. I've never had a similar experience at any other pizzeria. If you want a quiet and reliable evening, the advice is only one: go elsewhere.

04/10/2025: Tourists from Pisa were very dissatisfied with the service. They entered the pizzeria at 8:30 PM for a pizza and left at 11:15 PM.

04/10/2025: We arrived at 8:30 PM and left at 11:15 PM: we basically had time to digest... before even eating. Snail-like service, bewildered waiters, and no excuses for the endless wait. When the pizza finally arrived, it was so cold it looked like it had been transported from another city. An experience to forget: more than a dinner, it was a test of patience. If you're hungry, bring a spare sandwich.

16/09/2025: Terrible experience. It felt like a coffee and beer bar that turned into a restaurant. Perhaps the worst place I've ever eaten. All the fish was definitely frozen and badly cooked. The service needs to be reconsidered, the wait staff definitely not up to the job they're supposed to do. The lobster packets should be renamed "some pacchero al pomodoro," the octopus tasted like chewing gum, the wine was even warm, the fried fish tasted like cardboard. We're talking about "nightmare kitchens." It's only worth a visit because it was the only restaurant open in town.

14/09/2025: The food? Who saw it?! The service? Terrible! The atmosphere? Screaming in the kitchen and bathroom, only for men and women, dirty! A terrible experience.

04/10/2025: Very nice place, but it's a shame about the food: the portions are small, the selection is limited, and the prices, in my opinion, are a bit high. If you choose the €19.90 set menu with a choice of dishes, you basically have to eat within the limited circle they specify.

04/10/2025: A small restaurant at the entrance to the Sassi. A very traditional menu, with a focus on meat dishes. Reasonable prices, and the friendly staff.

18/08/2025: Nice place, good aperitif, excellent desserts. The only downside is the attitude of one of the employees, she seems to be snobbish! She snorts in your face even when you simply ask her to pay (and it's not the first time she's done it)... (advice) Maybe she should change jobs. The place deserves to be enhanced with a little courtesy and a smile!
