10/05/2025: Ristorante commerciale con carne di bassa qualità. Purtroppo ho avanzato quasi tutto il piatto della grigliata. Inoltre ho dovuto richiedere alla cassa lo scontrino fiscale che avevano dimenticato di consegnarmi. Una tappa gastronomica negativa nei quattro giorni materani.

03/06/2025: Eco Resort dei Siriti – A promise of tranquility, broken by chaotic and inadequate management The first impression, I admit, is positive: the Eco Resort dei Siriti presents itself with a pleasant aesthetic, immersed in the greenery of Basilicata, with wooden structures that evoke a rustic and environmentally friendly welcome. A well-groomed image, almost like a cover, which however turns out to be purely a facade. Behind that apparent calm lies a reality managed in an approximate, careless and, in some cases, even disrespectful way towards the guests. The rooms, in fact, are not at all up to the expectations raised by the outside: bare, dated and poorly cared for, they denote neglected maintenance and quality standards largely insufficient for a structure that aspires to call itself a “resort”. The catering service is another critical point: the organization of the buffet, in particular, was a failure. The incorrect arrangement of the tables and the inadequate management of the flow of guests have created continuous inconveniences, with poorly distributed spaces, disorderly queues and a convivial experience transformed into collective frustration. But the most serious issue – which alone would be enough to justify a formal request for compensation – concerns the systematic disturbance of the peace, perpetrated for the entire duration of the stay (30 May – 2 June 2025). During the nights, between 00:30 and 03:30, and even in the afternoon hours (13:00 – 16:00), the structure was the scene of disturbing noises, continuous shouting and loud music, coming from groups of totally out of control kids. It only emerged later that these guests were present on the occasion of the usual youth football tournaments that the structure hosts annually. What is unacceptable is that this information was never communicated at the time of booking to the person in charge of the association to which we belonged. The omission of such a significant detail - the imminent presence of hundreds of sporty teenagers - is a serious lack of transparency, which irreversibly compromised our stay. Even more disconcerting was the attitude of the reception and management. Despite numerous reports from disturbed guests, no measures were taken to protect the right to rest. On the contrary, the management assumed an ambiguously complicit behavior, granting the annoying guests a series of exclusive benefits: lunches and dinners outdoors, free birthday cakes, preferential treatment, while the other customers - the respectful, silent, punctual ones in payments - were ignored and forced to pay high costs at the bar and for additional services, without even receiving a courtesy gesture as a sign of compensation. If the intention of the Resort is to favor football tournaments - whose impact on the quality of the stay is evidently incompatible with any idea of ​​relaxation - then it would be right to reserve the structure exclusively for such events, avoiding selling stays to those seeking rest, silence and quality. Accepting reservations from both categories of guests, without any distinction or notice, is an unfair and deceptive practice, bordering on breach of contract. Due to the disorders suffered, I reported physical symptoms related to sleep deprivation and prolonged stress (severe migraines and fatigue), which continued even in the days following departure. In conclusion, the Eco Resort dei Siriti represents the paradigm of inconsistency between what is promised and what is offered: a place with a refined aesthetic, but managed without criteria, without transparency and, above all, without respect for the customer. A disconcerting experience from every point of view. I do not recommend it. I will not return. And I hope that those who read it choose with greater awareness.

03/06/2025: On the surface, the Eco Resort dei Siriti seems like a corner of paradise: surrounded by greenery, with wooden structures with a rustic charm and an implicit promise of peace and regeneration. A refined and reassuring aesthetic, which unfortunately soon reveals itself to be an empty mask, under which lies a disorganized, superficial and, in some cases, even hostile management towards “common” guests. The rooms, to begin with, are absolutely not up to the external context: unkempt, dated and lacking the care that one would expect from a structure that boasts the title of “eco resort”. The contrast between the outside and the inside is so stark that it is almost offensive. The buffet area, instead of representing a convivial moment, is a clear example of failed planning: poorly distributed tables, unmanageable flows of people and logistics that only generate chaos. All this is to the detriment of the guest experience, forced to juggle queues and confusion during each meal. The real reason for this review, and the heart of the disservice experienced, concerns the serious and prolonged disturbance of the peace, both at night and in the afternoon, during the entire stay from May 30 to June 2, 2025. The nights were disturbed by loud noises and shouting between 00:30 and 03:30, with peaks of annoyance also in the afternoon, between 13:00 and 16:00. These episodes had direct and documentable effects on physical and psychological health, including severe headaches, sleep deprivation and prolonged stress. The most serious responsibility, however, is not so much the uncivilized behavior of some guests - consisting of children left totally at liberty and obviously rude adults - but the attitude of the reception and management. Not only was nothing done to stem the situation, but the structure even supported these individuals, guaranteeing them privileged treatment: reserved outdoor lunches and dinners, free birthday cakes and various benefits. We, on the other hand – ordinary, respectful and patient guests – were left to deal with the inconveniences alone, regularly and handsomely paying for every extra at the bar of the facility, without even receiving a gesture of apology, nor a small recognition for the damages suffered. The feeling was that of being “second-rate” guests, ignored and undervalued, while the management did its utmost to please those who generated discomfort and noise. An ethical and managerial reversal that to call unacceptable is an understatement. In conclusion, the Eco Resort dei Siriti represents an emblematic case of appearance without substance, where aesthetics only serve to cover serious structural, managerial and relational shortcomings. A profound disappointment, aggravated by the arrogance of a deaf and complicit management. An experience that I strongly advise against. And that I hope no one else is forced to endure.

27/04/2025: La signora che mi ha servito è stata di una maleducazione unica. Non solo sgarbata, ma anche seccata ed infastidita dalle mie domande. Consiglio di servirsi in altri forni (ce ne sono tanti a Matera) in cui la gentilezza è di casa e sono ben disposti a dare tutte le spiegazioni e rispondere a tutte le curiosità sul magnifico pane di Matera.

04/06/2025: We had lunch with friends Fixed menu 25€ Everything based on very good fish, friendly staff It is definitely a place you can return to.

11/05/2025: An undefined fixed menu! It did not indicate the foods to be served, very generic (a first course and a second course). A surprise lunch based on caught fish (zero). Appetizers based on tasters. Improvised waiters made liquids flow from the cleared plates and it was not easy to have them for some needs as they always walked with their heads turned to the floor. Finally they asked for a cover charge in addition to the fixed price menu which was not included anywhere. Highly recommended place due to the terrible experience. I would define this restaurant: "The Trap"

29/05/2025: Cucina casereccia semplice e gustosa. Menù non troppo vasto che è sempre indice di qualità. Buoni i primi ed i secondi piatti. Ho fatto un indigestione di pane con il sugo del mio piatto di carne ! Promosso !

27/05/2025: Servizio gentile e veloce, piatti discretamente buoni. Tavolo prenotato su TheFork. Lo sconto si applica solo con 2 portate a testa (esclusi i dolci). Nota negativa che mi fa porta a mettere 3 stelle: il pane non è incluso nel coperto (specificato nel menu) ma te lo portano subito ugualmente senza chiedere… non si fa così!

08/04/2025: I often go here given my limited time during the lunch break and every time I find courtesy and friendliness. Worthy of note is the welcome, kindness and speed of Annabruna and Tonia, when I find them I also find education, professionalism and also excellent advice if you are undecided about pairings! Excellent value for money, very nice and welcoming place, with seating both inside and outside.

21/05/2025: Hanno ospitato una gita scolastica e ne hanno subito approfittato, cibo assolutamente immangiabile e di qualità improponibile, roba da terzo mondo. Addirittura il formaggio sulla pasta aveva sapore di muffa e la cotoletta la potevi usare per freesbee. Lo sconsiglio vivamente. Non è stato nemmeno rispettato il menu proposto in fase contrattuale. Eppure abbiamo pagato. I bambini sono tornati a casa digiuni.

24/03/2025: Rude waiters with a careless attitude and terrible service, minimal quantities of food and tap water. Bring expired sauces and the staff's response was "it doesn't matter anyway". terrible place, I don't recommend it to anyone.

23/02/2025: We celebrated my son's 18th birthday party at the Groove. After evaluating various options in the city, Groove was the location and offer that most impressed me. And in fact the evening went very well. The place frees itself from the formalities of the rooms, is youthful and is managed with great professionalism. Food, location and service lived up to expectations. Strongly recommended. Furthermore, the animation by Ludovico Musica & Animazione was the icing on the cake.

09/06/2025: We were just looking for a place to have a cold beer at for no more than 20 mins as a stop in between sight seeing. Not only did we end up staying for almost 2 hours, but we visited it a second time. Impeccable service, table in the shade, great view, and very friendly service - not to mention great snacks on the house :) 10/10, lovely terrace!!

09/06/2025: This place is located in a very old monastary. We went here for drinks and sat here the entire afternoon. The view is extremely nice and the service is very well. We even went back a second time! Definitely recommend!

22/06/2025: Despite the helpful staff, after a sleepless night due to the humidity in the room, we preferred to leave the hotel. Although the staff admitted the problem, they asked for payment for the night not used, offering me a discount of €20, an almost offensive discount in the face of an obvious disservice. I would add that on the morning of departure a hotel technician was trying to repair the air conditioning, perhaps necessary to improve the situation, which in my opinion was unacceptable. All the good things that the hotel offers are ruined by this unfortunate aspect. Highly discouraged.

25/03/2025: We stayed in this "neighborhood" property in Sasso Cavoso. The cave rooms are carefully renovated and very comfortable. Very good buffet breakfast, with also typical products. The owners are really kind and helpful. Beautiful stay.

22/02/2025: I never had words to describe this bar-pastry shop. Every Sunday I'm there, some mornings I'm there with my family and friends. Every time my friend from Bergamo comes I bring him the 'early morning' croissants that are still warm. Alas for me it has always been the best croissant and pastry shop in Matera, But today I have to add the most honest. How fantastic the 'barladies' were to call me to tell me I had lost my wallet. For me this bar has acquired 1000 points in addition to those it already had for cleanliness and excellent quality and friendliness... thanks again.. Always and forever Blue Moon bar ❤️

05/06/2025: Delicious pizzas for local prices where you sit among the locals. While eating your pizza you can do your laundry in the adjacent laundromat and dry it. Recommended!
