02/07/2026: Rude staff, it feels like they're doing you a favor when you're served. We received a croissant that was stale from the day before, and when we asked for a replacement, they not only turned up their noses, but also added it to the final bill. I won't be returning.

21/04/2026: What a surprise this pastry shop is! Fresh and delicious desserts, I recommend their revisited cassata! Helpful staff and a very cute place.

07/08/2026: The best panzerotti in Bernalda (and beyond!) ​If you're in Basilicata and pass through Bernalda, you absolutely must stop at "Simpatia." They offered us the best panzerotti ever! ​They're prepared and fried strictly on the spot, served piping hot, and made to perfection, following true local tradition. You can immediately taste the care and use of top-quality ingredients: they're incredibly crispy on the outside, and the dough is perfect on the inside. ​As for flavors, you're spoiled for choice: we tried the one with sausage and gorgonzola, and it was simply amazing, but the spinach and mozzarella combination was also excellent and delicious. ​The name of the place isn't a coincidence: the owners are incredibly friendly and approachable, and they make you feel right at home. It's also very convenient that they accept payment by POS without any problem. A fantastic experience, highly recommended for anyone who loves good, authentic food! We'll definitely be back.

17/08/2026: They cancelled on me from one day to the next without any explanation, because we had the Fork promotion and apparently in the middle of August they're not interested and prefer to leave us stranded so that another table without the discount can spend the money. If that's the case, they shouldn't offer it or include it in The Fork. Now I'll have to find another place at the last minute. Shameful.

11/07/2026: It was closed, even though it said "We're open" on the door...the phone number was unreachable. We settled on another place, which was very good.

05/07/2026: Osaka Sushi Matera – We stumbled upon this place by accident because our kids were craving sushi. It turned out to be a stunning underground restaurant carved into the rock, with a wonderfully cool atmosphere and beautiful surroundings. For just €20 per adult (€10 per child), you can enjoy an all-you-can-eat menu with an incredible selection of sushi, noodles, dumplings, seafood, and many other dishes. We ordered a huge variety of items from all across the menu, and every single dish was absolutely fantastic. The fish was exceptionally fresh and of outstanding quality. They also offer a great selection of drinks. We were absolutely delighted with the entire experience and would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Matera!

26/05/2026: This place doesn't deserve any stars for the reviews. But the only thing it does deserve is the closure!! Before lunch, I wanted to use the bathroom to wash my hands, but it would have been much better if I had never entered. Basically, the bathroom located in the kitchen was full of RAT excrement 🤢🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮. At that moment, I wanted to call the CARABINIERI and immediately run away from that disgusting restaurant. But unfortunately I couldn't, because I was invited by relatives. Be careful, guys... absolutely avoid this place!

03/05/2026: A family-run restaurant where passion and heart shine through in every dish. Exquisite people, excellent hospitality thanks to its founder, Giuseppe, and truly excellent food. Lunch overlooking the sea, enjoying a spectacular linguina alla pescatora, is truly priceless. I highly recommend trying it.

26/06/2026: I ordered a cake for my mother's birthday, pushed and intrigued especially by several positive reviews on a Facebook group, when I collected it I would have left it there because as you can see from the photo the writing was practically almost illegible and even the birthday girl had a hard time understanding what was written, the filling was nothing special, I do not recommend it

12/03/2026: A place that presents itself as a temple to local products, but which, in reality, turns out to be little more than a trattoria with Michelin-starred prices and decidedly average quality. The most emblematic moment? When asking for a little spicy food, after much rhetoric about local ingredients, a small industrial-strength supermarket bottle produced in another region appears on the table. If this is how local products are promoted...

21/08/2026: As an ignoramus, I asked the sales assistant for help in choosing local wines and she proved to be very precise and helpful (and the wine was excellent).

08/08/2026: You can't get a cheaper bottle of rosé in Matera. Since it's a wine shop and not a bar, it closes at 8:30 pm. We were informed of this beforehand. Everything was perfect! Thank you.

23/10/2025: Honestly, I've never seen such a dirty place, the staff was rude... never again in a place like that.... I had a coffee and it was literally undrinkable and some chips for the trip that were months out of date.

05/08/2026: Right in the city center, a place with outdoor seating. Despite the negative reviews, we had a great time. The girl who served us was very kind and friendly. The food was excellent, and so were the cocktails. 5 stars, well deserved.

27/07/2026: An experience to forget. Unpleasant and rude staff. The bartender should probably focus on something else since she's unsuitable for dealing with the public. My guests and I were appalled by the service. Unfortunately, this needs to be reported to avoid unpleasant surprises and to raise awareness among the staff and potentially improve their customer service. A smile and kindness in their work could help them!!!

23/02/2026: I'm sorry, but the poke wasn't good at all. The chicken had a really weird flavor, and the Philadelphia was practically nonexistent (having paid for it). The rice was too hard.

13/12/2025: A quick but truly satisfying lunch. We had a fresh, well-balanced poke bowl with quality ingredients. The portions were generous and the flavors excellent. The restaurant was well-kept and the staff were friendly. Perfect for a light but tasty lunch break. Recommended!

07/08/2026: This evening I went to eat and found myself with the staff attacking a girl who was supposed to be paid for her days' work, and a lady on the staff silenced her and threatened her. It was truly disgraceful, even in front of customers.
