I WAS AT THIS BAR/RESTAURANT WITH A GROUP. THE MENU WAS EXCELLENT AND THE WELCOME WAS SUPERB. A round of applause to the management from ALL OF US 👏👏👏 P.S. THE PARMIGIANA WAS EXCELLENT ⬆️⬆️⬆️

Friendly service, very good, crispy thin-crust pizza. The waiter recommended their local wine, and I really enjoyed it. I recommend this place – both for a quick snack and for a longer stop after a strenuous walk up the steps of Matera.

Overpriced. The food wasn't the best in my opinion. I've had a way way better tiramisu outside Italy. The salad wasn't good as well. I guess I have made wrong food choice. The staff was nice and helpful and friendly. The atmosphere was nice, inside is very awesome. This is my opinion based on my personal preferences.

Fantastic food. We actually had 3 visits for dessert after a disappointing meal elsewhere, brunch and dinner. The food was superb, full of flavour and as described. We had superb service from Onofrio who was doing some huge hours. We are both small business owners so really appreciated how he interacts and communicates with his clients. It was obvious he has some ownership in Hemingway as we did not see the same dedication elsewhere in our 4 week Italian trip. Recommend anytime of the day.

Nice place but unfortunately the food was very disappointing. Overcooked pizza, bruschetta with little to no tomato, etc... Keep walking!

05/07/2026: Osaka Sushi Matera – We stumbled upon this place by accident because our kids were craving sushi. It turned out to be a stunning underground restaurant carved into the rock, with a wonderfully cool atmosphere and beautiful surroundings. For just €20 per adult (€10 per child), you can enjoy an all-you-can-eat menu with an incredible selection of sushi, noodles, dumplings, seafood, and many other dishes. We ordered a huge variety of items from all across the menu, and every single dish was absolutely fantastic. The fish was exceptionally fresh and of outstanding quality. They also offer a great selection of drinks. We were absolutely delighted with the entire experience and would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Matera!
29/06/2026: Amazing food, atmosphere is great and the service is incredible. You pay once per person and eat whatever you want.

07/05/2026: A very positive experience. Finally, a piadineria unlike any other, where, in addition to speed, there's also attention to flavors and combinations. The piadinas are well-filled, freshly prepared, and truly flavorful, with ingredients that make all the difference. The atmosphere is casual yet pleasant, ideal for a lunch stop or an evening snack while exploring the center of Matera. I especially appreciated the friendliness of the staff and the care taken in preparing each order. Satisfying portions, reasonable prices, and superior quality compared to many other similar establishments. A place that leaves a good impression and is worth a try.
