30/01/2026: I had dinner at this butcher's shop, it was truly a thief and disgusting with its meat and very high prices. I advise you not to go to this thief.

23/08/2025: Miesro in courses and with a salty bill... the owner then is something in between

15/12/2025: Decent parking. Toilets and showers are free. The shower is at the gas station on the right side of the building. There's Wi-Fi, but it only works in the restaurant (for up to an hour). Overall, it's pretty good! I parked there for 24 hours, and everything was fine.

11/12/2025: 9:50 PM on December 11, 2025. I entered the service station and, looking at the two staff, said "good evening." They saw me but pretended not to notice. I asked "please, a tenner," holding out a note, but the response was "we have to count the till!" I asked if I could have this blessed coffee in the meantime, and with an almost annoyed expression, the lady, huffing and puffing, served me! Then, to quickly get away from these two extremely unhelpful gentlemen, I had to pay with my debit card, otherwise it would have been morning! As I was leaving, looking at the two helpful staff, I wished them goodnight, obviously in vain, as they didn't even deign to look at me or even grimace!! Both of them were extremely rude and a slap on the wrist would have been enough to get them back on track. P.S. The decaf was lukewarm and tasted awful!

11/10/2025: I returned after a year. Authentic, locally sourced food. Very friendly staff. The platters and cheeses are highly recommended.

21/09/2025: Nice little place, though nothing special. Good food, but I'd say the prices are a bit high. The quality-price ratio is poor, but it could be improved.

27/09/2025: Eeeeeepic, everything is delicious, with sweet and savory options. Expensive? Mmmmmmdah, somewhere in between, it's worth it. The only danger is that every time you pass by, you'll want to try something else.

14/09/2025: A well-organized and well-maintained bakery. You can purchase a variety of baked goods. Try the stuffed focaccias.

12/10/2025: Terrible food, unpleasant smell, non-existent cleanliness, while we were eating flies landed in our faces and on the food, TOTALLY DISADVICED, I couldn't give less than one star

19/05/2025: Sunday lunch. Booked in advance. The place was packed beyond capacity, even blocking the wheelchair ramp. The food didn't arrive. After the appetizer, which wasn't enough for the number of people we were, we decided to leave. It was impossible to continue in that chaos and we had been at the table for almost two hours. The owner treated us terribly, very arrogant. We paid too much for the misery they brought us.

12/05/2025: It was an experience to forget. Since the restaurant was full, the staff immediately seemed very annoyed at having to be there, but apart from that, there is no menu so you eat what is told to you verbally without a price or an indication of allergens or whether it is frozen or not. After ordering, we first received the pasta with tomato sauce for the children (cold), then the appetizers in measly portions because, we discovered later, they had mixed up the table orders and so we ate (and paid) for a table of 8, but with portions for a table of 4. The worst is yet to come, in fact the second courses arrived before the first courses and despite this the meat was cold and we had to send it back because it tasted rancid, as if it had been cooked and left there. Disgusted, but still respectful and polite, we wanted to address the problem to the cashier, but avoiding unnecessary confrontations; except that the lady at the checkout started shouting, pointing at us and saying "they're waiting because they want to argue". Well dear lady, if we had wanted to argue we would have had every reason, because you don't give spoiled food to people, especially at a table with two two year old children. We (over)paid and left certain that you will never see us again because that's not how you work in a serious way, I'm sorry for other unfortunate people who, like us, will stumble upon your ineptitude.

22/02/2026: I was inspired by the reviews and photos I found on TheFork. I don't know, it was all a mixed bag: the appetizer for two was nothing to write home about. I'm from Basilicata, and yes, they were perhaps typical, but not overly so. The first courses were good, but again, nothing exceptional. We had the black pork ragù and cacio e crusco. So, let's say the overall rating is satisfactory. The place is small but cute and quaint. The service is good, and the staff is friendly and helpful. All in all, it deserves 3 stars. Prices are average.

05/01/2026: After booking with The Fork with a 30% discount, the alleged owner didn't charge us with the app but instead added an extra charge to the bill instead of offering the discount. Terrible.

25/10/2025: I'm giving it a 1 because you can't give a 0 (or in our case, even less). I can't rate either the food or the drinks because, due to the absolutely rude, aggressive, unpleasant, and completely unprofessional behavior (and completely gratuitous), we left, avoiding (most likely what would have happened) the terrible food and drinks. Incidentally, the name of the place is now Maracuja. One wonders how places like this, run like this, manage to stay open. We later discovered they have a terrible reputation throughout Matera. Perhaps that's why they changed the name to Maracuja, so that people looking for reviews wouldn't find them. Stay away, and any other place in Matera will be better off.

21/08/2025: I've eaten there on vacation over the years, off and on. Unfortunately, the quality and overall experience have significantly declined. The hamburger is a classic, made with bagged supermarket bread. The atmosphere is chaotic even when there aren't many people. There's music in this restaurant, as well as in the beach bar—a whole host of different genres, in short. Lastly, this year I was surprised by the €1 service charge. The restaurant only offers takeout, there's no table service. I honestly don't understand why they charge this much now. Would I recommend it? Not unless you're really sure what to eat, but I'm sorry it's gotten so bad.
