22/02/2025: simple focaccia with only tomato, not only overpaid by the kilo, also super acidic

15/10/2024: We bought extra bread from Matera to take it to Sicily and have it tasted. The girl at the counter was very kind and directed us to a good dairy.

30/10/2024: No right to play cards and no sympathy, to flee. The owner says that it's part of Italian customs, he's the only person to say that in Italy... In any case, the service is catastrophic. We still left a tip after seeing the owner rummaging through his miserable cash register for 5 minutes. Lamentable

15/10/2024: Place to avoid... coca cola in glass €5, small juice in glass €5 and half liter bottle of water €2 all without sitting down.

19/01/2025: The pizza arrived an hour late even though they had guaranteed punctuality. Hard as a flying saucer, salty and really bad. Never again.

11/11/2024: I ate a sea bream with orange and a salad. Lunch was exquisite. The price was excessive, but for a place by the sea it could be worth it. No POS, but at least they issued the receipt.

08/11/2024: The pasta was good, the wine was a break from the habit. A little too expensive.

18/03/2025: We had a simple coffee, quite good. But 1 euro per person for the cover charge is really too much. For having served an espresso, accompanied by two glasses of hot water. We spent 5 euros for two espressos. (1.50 each) Reading the menu the prices were really high. I understand that it is in the Sassi, but trying to raise the prices for the average tourist, then loses customers in the area who only want to consume a coffee. At least I would have liked to know how much the cover charge was before sitting down. At least I would have chosen to consume it at the counter. For the rest good coffee and kind owner.

16/03/2025: The place is very nice, well located in the center of Matera and the food is good. It’s just sad that it takes 30 min to get a take away sandwich I recommend this place if you’re ok waiting a long long time before getting served

09/12/2024: Terrible coffee, we also took some biscuits in the photo which we were charged 1 euro each, not recommended.

19/08/2024: We wanted to have lunch. But : - Very very long waiting time. In 45 minutes, we only had water and a coke, even though the restaurant was not full. The table next to us was served in 50 minutes, with only salmon and avocado toast, with dry bread. - Poor hygiene. The restaurant is not clean: lots of flies on the terrace (which has obviously never been cleaned), dirty toilets that do not close. - Tourist traps. The restaurant charges €1 for table service and €2 for cover per person. We do not recommend, although the setting is magnificent…
