04/12/2024: I was in Montescaglioso with a group and we had the pleasure of having lunch at the Rock Oasis. The experience was fantastic. The welcome was impeccable: the staff, in particular Stefano, was attentive, kind and ready to satisfy our every need. Lunch was excellent, with typical traditional Lucanian dishes prepared with fresh, quality ingredients. The quiet and family atmosphere made the moment truly special. We also visited the surrounding area and the rooms of the farmhouse: simple, but with that touch of ''rusticity''. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for authentic cuisine and a welcome that makes you feel at home. The icing on the cake was the large fireplace, further warming up the Christmas atmosphere. We will definitely be back!

03/09/2023: We went intrigued by the reviews which were all quite positive but unfortunately I can't confirm the positivity! Hot place without air conditioning, we all came out sweaty, grumpy waiter, spaghetti with clams full of sand and once pointed out, (clam completely black with sand, with sand everywhere on the plate), the waiter nodded but they did nothing to to remedy this, asking in an annoyed tone if he had to have them redone, and when we refused, they managed to make us pay €15 for the dish sent back, plus 2 glasses of wine (actually half glasses) €12... in short we are passing through, but never again! I hope if you go it goes better for you....

20/08/2024: Locale molto carino all’interno della zona dei Sassi in Matera! Abbiamo cenato fuori in una bellissima atmosfera! Che dire! Materie prime eccellenti e ben lavorate, tutte impiattate egregiamente! Servizio ottimo, professionale e molto disponibile! Nota dolente la carta dei vini! Poco territorio! Nel complesso lo consiglio anche per il conto finale, molto onesto!

30/11/2024: The Lounge Cafe is my favorite go-to spot in the afternoon and early evening The drinks are incredible - I'm a fan of the UMANIAMO Spritz, Campari Spritz with a half shot of Cointreau. The sandwiches are fresh and tasty and the sweets, incredible. It's a uninque destination in the historic center featuring multiple floors for dining, drinks, dancing, and of course coffee and snacks. Everyone is friendly and after one visit I felt right at home. It's also the perfect people watching spot, so come on over and have a drink!

27/08/2024: Bread like it used to be, cooked in a wood fire. The baker and his wife are always friendly and the bread is truly exceptional.

13/11/2023: The least good place we ate in Matera. Poor quality ingredients and cooked too simply.An example? Gummy bran pepper. The waitress was decidedly unwelcoming and had a brusque manner. Exaggerated prices compared to the type of cuisine and the rest of the offer of the Matesni restaurants. Background music more appropriate to a bad bar in Bogota.
