12/09/2025: We've been frequenting this bar every morning for years, and it's always a surefire hit! The atmosphere is welcoming, the staff are friendly and attentive, the coffee is excellent, and the croissants are always fresh. It's become a go-to place for a great start to the day. 09/07/2025: Extremely rude staff. The owner refused to let my son (a twelve-year-old) use the bathroom, even though I had purchased a drink, because he was supposed to get something himself. A complete lack of empathy and courtesy.

02/11/2025: A wonderful experience in a genuine Matera stone, equipped with everything, even a toothbrush and toothpaste kit! Perfect location, within walking distance of everything. Breakfast was just like the one at your grandmother's house: homemade cakes, biscuits, and tarts with a savory twist, yogurt, and fruit juices. I highly recommend it; the owner is very friendly.

13/06/2025: Nous avons été servi en 2h pour 2 assiettes par personnes. La 2 eme assiette est arrivée rapidement quand je me suis levé pour payer ce que j avais consommé et partir.... La qualité est plutot douteuse...1 steak haché congelé archi cuit accompagné de salade et de pomme de terre rissolées vendu comme hamburger ...une honte. En plus , quand nous avons demandé des explications, on nous a repondu avec agressivité. En clair: le touriste n a rien a dire, content ou pas, ils ne le reverrons pas....du moment qu'ils payent c est bon et basta...

03/09/2025: A truly enchanting place! The restaurant has tables nestled in a beautiful garden, lovingly tended by the owners, who are friendly, kind, and down-to-earth. The fried fish was the best I've ever eaten: crispy, light, and flavorful. The pizza, too, was simply perfect, with an easy-to-digest dough and fresh ingredients. All at surprisingly low prices. A pleasant experience in every way, highly recommended!

23/07/2025: We ate at the outdoor tables, a pleasant atmosphere, spectacular fried anchovies, cruschi peppers, and a super black sandwich with octopus! The girl at the tagoli was lovely.

19/04/2025: This evening I tasted the best fish sandwich I've ever had! The black bun has it all: crispiness, balanced flavor, and contrasting colors that create a unique and unforgettable explosion of flavors!

12/08/2025: Good morning, my name is Andrea D'Amato, I'm from Policoro but I live in Rotondella. I often buy your tomato focaccia at the Policoro shopping center, but lately I've noticed that they're very low in oil. Why? It's a focaccia, not a pizza, and without oil it has no flavor. The ones you used to make were excellent, I think I need to change the oven. Have a good day.

18/09/2025: Never again. They offered us a first course that wasn't on the menu without telling us how much it cost. And then they charged us 40 euros each. For three people, 120 euros. If that's the price of a first course, you let the customer know and they can decide, you don't pretend nothing happened. Shame on you.

03/09/2025: Recommended. The service was excellent, with kindness and friendliness being the strong points. Excellent food, the raw fish was truly delicious. The portions were generous. The restaurant is very beautiful and has a unique setting.

11/10/2025: A spacious place suitable for groups. If you want a quiet place, it's a bit uncomfortable just because the tables are close together (you can see your neighbor's food). The food is good, but the service is fast and a bit too intimate, which I don't like. Located right next to a gas station, it's not the best for lunch or dinner, but it's great for those passing through. It's a good stop for those on a long journey who need to stop for a quick rest between lunch or dinner. It's also a great place to hang out with friends or co-workers and make a bit of a fuss.

19/10/2025: Excellent table service, they go out of their way. 1 hour and a half wait for a pizza. SHAMEFUL. KITCHEN FAILED. It's wrong to give priority to takeaways and make people wait at the tables. Change jobs, it's not for you.

30/10/2025: A small restaurant located in the heart of the Sassi, offering a wide selection of traditional dishes from Matera and Basilicata. The food was appreciated and approved by everyone, and the prices were quite reasonable given the location and the menu offerings. My only complaint was that the atmosphere was a bit gloomy, quiet, and cold, especially on a Saturday night. I think the restaurant deserves more visibility, and a manager who knows how to attract customers. My compliments to the professionalism of the waiter!

The establishment offers a classic Italian breakfast, with a selection of savory and sweet items, accompanied by fruit juice and coffee. Quick service, pleasant atmosphere – perfect for starting the day before visiting the Sassi.

29/10/2025: Two Zacapa rums with dark chocolate chips for the modest sum of €50... speechless... a place to avoid, unless you want to donate to charity!!!
