12/10/2025: I had lunch with the family, the food was good but nothing special, the prices were excessive for 1 starter which included 3 stuffed pancakes, 3 slices of ham and a potato cake, 2 first courses and 1 second course, 1/2 litre of house wine and 1 bottle of water, total 83 euros, not even if it were a starred restaurant, I wouldn't recommend it in L'Aquila, there are better places.

12/10/2025: It's always a pleasure to return to L'Aquila after so many years and find small restaurants that truly make quality their mission, in a regional capital city with great food and wine potential. The restaurant has neither too many nor too few seats, which ensures relatively fast service, but not "cafeteria" style. The waiters are knowledgeable and courteous. The food is fresh, with authentic flavors, and there's an excellent wine selection. Recommended

01/09/2025: An absolutely wonderful family runs this truly authentic Abruzzo establishment. Perfect place to use as a base to explore the entire region. We have stayed here five times in the past and will stay here again at some point in the future.

01/06/2025: A monument that stands on the remains of a large Roman villa, inhabited until late antiquity, which between the 6th and 7th centuries became a castrum of those Byzantines who had retained control of the nearby port of Aternum (Pescara) as a fundamental landing place and intermediate port between the capital of the Exarchate Ravenna and Constantinople, and who clearly created the first nucleus of the historic Torre Alex (from Alessandro Valignano, one of the lords of the Valignano family of Cepagatti in the 17th century). The tower was consolidated in the Lombard era as a control point of a strategic road junction at the crossroads between the S.S. Picena Aprutina and the routes that went up to Forca di Penne and the Aquilano, and which from the 11th-12th centuries became the seat of the lords of the fiefdom of the Norman, Swabian and Angevin eras of Cepagatti, and then passed from the 15th century to the Valignano family and finally to the current owners. The first archaeological investigations by the Superintendency date back to the 1970s and continued between 1998 and 2011 in Piazza S. Rocco, bringing to light important evidence of the Roman era preserved in the City Council Hall. The restoration of the Castle returns to the public the so-called “sala delle cisterne” (cistern room), an authentic and rare Roman cistern 22 meters long and 4 meters wide, as well as the “sala del grano” (grain room), 340 square meters large on the top floor of the monument with a panoramic view of the Pescara valley. The restoration of the Marcantonio Castle, begun in 2008, represents a “place in history” and the over 2000 square meters spread over 4 levels offer the possibility of hosting particularly evocative events. Unfortunately, it is now in decline due to problems with the owners and is closed. Too bad...

17/06/2025: A very respectable structure surrounded by a well-kept park, it offers ample parking both on gravel and on tiles. Dining room suitable for events, well-kept, in our case on the occasion of a vintage car rally an interesting menu is served with the only off-key note of the dessert not up to expectations, everything else is top. Despite this, you leave satisfied.

26/08/2025: The guys are always kind and helpful, always ready to recommend a new drink. The accompanying popcorn is always a welcome treat. Spend a couple of euros more per drink, but you'll get a good drink in a nice, quiet place.

08/09/2025: We were standing along the road and within an hour, on a Sunday, we were helped. Car repaired the next day very fast, very kind people. Brought us to a hotel free. Grazie mille

19/08/2025: I own a BMW 430. This morning I slashed a tire due to a pothole. I called CSA for help; they responded immediately and within minutes, they had organized a meeting. Within half an hour, we were loading the car with the utmost care, given its low weight. I recommend their service to anyone! Qualified and professional staff!
