23/10/2025: Food is indeed interesting, some meals were not my cup of tea but a nice experience. Getting the bill took quite some time. They had a problem and apparently had to write everything by hand, didn’t receive a real bill. Strange is that they made a mistake with the bill and they “calculated” the amount with 28€ more on top. I usually never check but decided to do this time. Keep this in mind and check your bill when you go there.

11/10/2025: Very elegant restaurant. Very clean rooms. Friendly staff. Superlative food and an excellent wine list. The owner is constantly seeking out the best his region has to offer to satisfy even the most demanding palates. One visit isn't enough to try everything. Definitely recommended.

09/10/2025: Located in a quiet alley in the historic center, behind the main Piazza Vittorio Veneto, this restaurant offers top-quality cuisine based on Lucanian ingredients and products, creating an alchemy of new and original flavors while always respecting local traditions. This is thanks to the owner, chef Francesco Abbondanza, who over the years has refined a gastronomic research that was already remarkable in its early days and has now become superlative. All this in an elegant and minimalist setting that, thanks to the perfect lighting and intimate atmosphere despite its spaciousness and airiness, immediately puts you at ease, thanks also to the professionalism and friendliness of the staff (Daniele is top notch!) and the attentiveness of the host. Excellent wine selection! In short, whether for lunch or dinner, L'Abbondanza Lucana is an experience to be enjoyed and savored. And to be relived again, because while it's unforgettable, you'll be longing to return.

31/10/2025: The atmosphere in the restaurant is magical and the service is top-notch! But that's it. The food is mediocre. In their desire to offer something different, it turns out that the offerings are shockingly bad! Apparently after changing the address, they lost their chef along the way.

27/10/2025: We had dinner with a couple of friends at this restaurant on the recommendation of our host in Matera. It was a truly positive experience. The restaurant is well-kept, and we were looked after by a very kind and helpful waitress, who also gave us recommendations. The traditional dishes were truly excellent, and the portions were generous. Highly recommended!

06/09/2025: We stayed at the farm for 3 nights, we did not want to leave. We will miss seeing these wonderful people. They are the nicest people you can meet anywhere. Such wonderful host and wonderful location. The food that was served to us during our dinner was worth 4 times what they charged us. Traditional Italian food made with love. Delicious!. This was the best food we had on our 2 week trip. I have never met such beautiful and understanding people. We were traveling with our disabled son and they bent over backwards to accommodate him. Also recommend taking the Italian cooking class that is offered by the family, you won’t be disappointed.

04/09/2025: Wonderful experience. My boyfriend and I spent a weekend here. Beautiful views, away from the noise and just steps from the San Giuliano dam, ideal for those looking for a quiet getaway. Excellent location, close to tourist attractions like Matera and other Basilicata villages like Castelmezzano. You can also dine there; we did once and had a really good time. The owner was friendly and the dishes were traditionally prepared with passion. Excellent value for money for all the amenities. We were very satisfied.

11/09/2025: I recommend this place to anyone who wants a quick bite or just wants to order pizza. A small, charming place, very friendly staff, and excellent, tasty pizza. I recommend the Stacchiuccio pizza: A riot of flavors on a crispy, light crust. Recommended.

02/11/2025: 🗓️Last ​​weekend in Basilicata, we had dinner at the "Sotto la Torre" restaurant in Satriano di Lucania. 🤵‍♂️The hospitality and skill of the staff, both in serving and explaining the dishes served—all expertly prepared, beautifully presented, and with balanced flavors—made it a pleasant discovery. I think it deserves greater recognition, not only from locals but also from tourists like us. And why not, in my opinion, it also deserves some recognition. 🏆 Here's what we were delighted with. Welcome aperitif: Peperone crusco with ricotta mousse and duck speck. Paired with: Prosecco di Valdobbiadene. And from their bread: Peperone crusco, Sesame white bread, Turmeric and Ferrandina olives, Cuttlefish ink. Cuttlefish egg in a crust of its ink on a potato mousse, stracciatella, Stigliano pistachio, and a dusting of beetroot. Dry-marinated salmon with: Zucchini with mint, passion fruit dressing. Accompanied by: Watermelon sgroppino. Podolica beef tartare with: tuna sauce, almonds, capers, and balsamic vinegar. Slow-cooked egg on a cheese fondue, savory crumble, truffle, and cardoncelli mushrooms from the Lucanian mountains. Saffron Carnaroli rice with: Red shrimp tartare, buffalo mozzarella sauce, raspberry caviar, and parsley powder. Double-cooked octopus on a roasted pepper sauce, purple potato mousse, and sweet and sour Tropea onion. All accompanied by Verbo Bianco, from the cellars of Venosa. 2024 Small pastries with: Melon sphere, Pineapple, Carrot mousse, Creamy ricotta and mango. And to finish, Cheesecake mousse with berries. 🧳 If you're near Satriano di Lucania, you can't miss it. 😋 You won't regret it. 🤩

11/10/2025: In the heart of Corleto Perticara lies a gem of a restaurant. A welcoming and refined establishment, like its staff, I visit every month and always find a menu updated. Each dish is a journey you take with the chef, always creative but perfectly balanced in flavor. The homemade desserts are the icing on the cake, not ruined by the hefty bill, but rather modest.

04/10/2025: As an insider, I can say I dined at a Lucanian restaurant where I savored locally sourced products reimagined with undeniable passion and professionalism. An immersion in flavor that satisfies both mind and palate. If you're passing through Corleto, stop by this place...you'll leave wanting more.
