01/06/2026: I wouldn't recommend this place if you don't like waiting. The service is extremely poor. I had a reservation for 8:00 PM. After being seated, I asked for water and a glass of wine, but they didn't arrive until 20 minutes later, and only after I'd reminded them twice. The order was taken even later, and the food was served just as slowly. The food is indeed delicious, and the presentation is original, but the atmosphere created by the staff completely ruins the experience. The waiters are constantly fussing, arguing among themselves, and answering every request with "yes," after which nothing happens. After 15 minutes, you have to find another waiter, who responds in exactly the same way. And the cycle repeats itself over and over again. And this wasn't just my table. There was a family of three at the next table. We arrived around the same time, but their menus arrived even later than mine. Meanwhile, the terrace was only half full. I ended up leaving at 10:00 PM because I'd spent the last 20-30 minutes just waiting for the bill. It only arrived after I asked for it three times. After the third request, I stood up and slowly headed for the exit, as I couldn't wait any longer. The music was a major drawback. It was playing from one of the waiters' phones through a speaker. Every time he moved away, the music would cut out or start playing intermittently due to signal loss. And after every two or three tracks, the entire terrace was forced to listen to YouTube ads. The food here is good, but the service is so poor that it completely negates the positive impressions I had from the kitchen. The food was genuinely tasty and the presentation was creative, but the overall experience was ruined by the atmosphere created by the staff. The waiters were constantly rushing around, arguing with each other, and responding “yes” to every request without actually following through. Fifteen minutes later, you end up asking another waiter and get exactly the same response. The cycle repeats over and over again. This was not only happening at my table. A family of three was seated next to me. We arrived at roughly the same time, yet they received their menus even later than I did. What makes this even more surprising is that the terrace was only about half full. In the end, I left at 10:00 PM because I spent the last 20–30 minutes simply waiting for the bill. It was brought to me only after I had asked for it three times. After the third request, I stood up and slowly started walking towards the exit because I had completely run out of patience. Another major downside was the music. It was being played from a waiter’s phone through a portable speaker. Every time he moved farther away, the music would cut out or start stuttering due to signal loss. On top of that, the entire terrace had to listen to YouTube advertisements after every two or three songs. The food is good, but the level of service is so poor that it completely overshadows the positive aspects of the dining experience.

27/05/2026: Absolutely perfect dining experience with warm and attentive service and a one of a kind view!! Highly recommend for a special occasion while visiting Matera.

12/05/2026: A stay in a charming accommodation in a unique place in the world. Sleeping while imagining the lives of people in small spaces, raising their children and earning a living, makes you reflect. The accommodation is very comfortable, the bathroom is excellent, the breakfast is great, and the girls at reception give great tips. Suggestion: pack light, use a backpack (a wheeled suitcase here is crazy), comfortable shoes, and a hat is essential. If you come by car, leave it in the Via Saragat parking lot; it's covered, very affordable, and you can walk to the sassi or take a bus that drops you off very close.

28/04/2026: The bed was a bit hard for our preference, but staying in a cave is incredible and the experience will never be forgotten. There was a very large selection for breakfast and they catered to my gluten-free needs, upon prior request. They had fresh honeycomb and fresh homemade yogurt.

20/01/2026: You will find everything you can't imagine, including so much kindness.

02/01/2026: The pizza is good, but the wait is really long; even when you want something already on display, you have to wait really long.
