19/08/2025: Atmosphere, view, service, very kind staff, excellent food! What more could one ask for from this magical place??

17/08/2025: ✨LUXURIOUS ✨ Yes, luxurious is the most fitting word for this wonderful restaurant. As with all locations in the Sassi of Matera, unfortunately, pedestrian access isn't the best, so be careful of climbs, descents, and steps. Especially if you have injuries, disabilities, very young children, or anything else, this is unfortunately not a place I would recommend. Also pay attention to GPS directions, which often take you close to your destination but not precisely to your destination. That said, the place is truly enchanting, located practically opposite the Rupestrian Church of Santa Maria di Idris, a beautiful monument in itself, which, along with the rest of the setting, practically becomes a nativity scene at night. When booking, I really appreciated the ability to specify any requests in the notes, from allergies or intolerances to a seat on the terrace, which I highly recommend. Obviously, this is a restaurant that is at its best in the evening; by choosing a table outside, you can fully enjoy the experience. Another convenience was being able to change the reservation time online up to 10 minutes in advance. This "digital" service, I must say, is very well managed, avoiding unnecessary phone calls and bad moods. The food is truly excellent, with refined and sophisticated dishes. BE CAREFUL: a minimum of three courses per person is mandatory, which will set you back around €80 per person, so be careful about this detail, which is often discovered once you're seated and reading the menu. The waiters' courtesy and kindness were quite good, although in a place like this, I would suggest paying more attention to your bearing, your attire, and especially wearing white gloves to better reflect the beauty of the place. Some things seem obvious to me, but unfortunately, Matera isn't yet fully ready to make this leap, precisely because people get lost in the details that make the difference. In conclusion, if you love beautiful places, luxury, landscapes, and good food, this is a place for you. Your wallet may cry, but oh well, sometimes it's okay. Treat yourself.

11/09/2025: A very elegant and modern restaurant, the owner and staff are very kind, friendly, and helpful. My husband and I came in, and even though we were dressed casually, they welcomed us kindly. The food was good. The owner even let us try the caciocavallo cheese they used in one dish. I recommend this restaurant.

09/09/2025: Yes, I highly recommend this excellent restaurant. We had a five-course meal, some of which we shared. The veal cheek was exceptionally tender and incredibly delicious. The waiter and chef were very friendly. The decor was elegant and very clean.

05/09/2025: A pleasant dinner in a very traditional restaurant with a lovely atmosphere. The food was excellent, including the local wine and amaro. The staff was friendly and attentive. The prices were fair.

19/08/2025: We wanted to extend our heartfelt thanks to Antonio and his entire staff. They welcomed us to their agriturismo for lunch yesterday in an extremely warm and friendly manner. We let him guide us, and it wasn't just a simple lunch; it was an inner journey to rediscover our childhood memories, with exceptional products, sublimely prepared. Rediscovering the true flavor of beans, eggplant, and all the other delicacies served to us as they once were, always with a smile. This, for me, makes all the difference. And we also wanted to thank them for the way they accommodated one of our dietary needs (we have a family history of celiac disease). Thank you so much for everything. An unforgettable gastronomic experience.

29/08/2025: Fantastic dinner. We celebrated a dear friend's 60th birthday. The food was well-presented, visually pleasing, and of excellent quality. Excellent value. A well-deserved accolade.

19/07/2025: Unfortunately, I have to point out that the showers in the rooms need to be redone, while the suite is splendid in every way. The truth is, the restaurant is fabulous, as is the bar. For these, a 10 out of 10.

17/08/2025: The restaurant offered special meals which changed every day. The service and atmosphere were excellent but we felt that our meal at the other restaurant/pizzeria offered more value for the price paid.

02/08/2025: Che dire, posto scoperto per caso, dove ad accoglierci c’era una coppia giovane con tanta voglia di fare. Abbiamo fatto il percorso degustazione di 5 portate, e posso garantire che già dopo la terza portata facevo fatica a finire quanto di buono avevo mangiato fino a quel momento. Esperienza davvero positiva. Bravi anzi super bravi. Unica “pecca”, ma è solo una critica costruttiva: prezzo basso per ciò che abbiamo mangiato e per come è stato servito. Meritate molto ma molto di più. Tornerò sicuramente a trovarvi.
