Tucked away from the chaos of St. Mark’s Square, it’s the kind of place where you can sit outside, watch the locals go about their day, and actually feel like you’re in Venice rather than a theme park version of it. The walls are covered in classic movie posters, giving the place a personality that’s as warm as the food. The pizza is the real deal: perfectly blistered crust, fresh toppings, no frills, no fuss. The kind of meal that reminds you why Italian food doesn’t need to be complicated to be great. The risotto is also worth ordering, and don’t sleep on the starter bread. It puts most other restaurants in the city to shame. Service is warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. On a good night, they’ll send you off with a complimentary limoncello, a lovely touch that caps the meal perfectly. Honest food, honest prices, and you will leave full. Dine among Al Pacino and Marilyn Monroe and leave wondering why you didn’t find this place sooner. Skip the tourist traps near St. Mark’s and make the walk to Cannaregio. Flavorful meat, perfectly balanced spices, and impeccable preparation. Not your average kebab, but a premium version that amazes with its taste and quality. 10/05/2026: Excellent experience. Even though it's a set menu, all the dishes are delicious, and you can choose which ones to eat. I tried the fish menu, and I highly recommend it. Very friendly staff, lovely atmosphere. I went without a reservation as soon as the restaurant opened.

23/04/2026: The gelato was very good. I had the hazelnut flavor, which was rich in whole hazelnuts, and the pistachio flavor, with pistachios and pieces of pistachio chocolate. The honey and walnut yogurt was also good, with a rich flavor, and a chocolate variegated flavor of the day. The €4 xoppa was very large and had two flavors, while other nearby gelato shops sell a scoop of gelato for €2. I recommend this gelato shop for anyone who appreciates good gelato. Congratulations, two tourists.

30/05/2026: The worst dining experience we had in Italy by far. We ordered a pizza, which was average but acceptable, and a pasta carbonara. Unfortunately, the carbonara was terrible — I couldn’t eat it at all. It had an unpleasant smell and lacked any real flavor. When I mentioned this to the waiter, he explained that carbonara is made with raw eggs, as if that was the issue. I am well aware of how a traditional carbonara is prepared; the problem was that the dish tasted and smelled off. The staff was polite, but the food quality was extremely disappointing. I would recommend avoiding this place and choosing one of the many better restaurants in the area.

30/05/2026: The waiter was immediately kind and available to seat us, attentive in his service, and very friendly and welcoming. We ate well; the fish was cleaned at the table quickly and accurately. It was a positive experience, especially because the guys are very friendly and stayed to chat for a while after dinner.

14/04/2026: Family-run trattoria; nothing to complain about the quality of the food. However, we paid €45 each for lunch for an appetizer (eggs and asparagus) and a first course (spaghetti with clams, or in my case, salad with parmesan cheese on the side—since I'm vegetarian), plus a carafe of white wine, a bottle of water, and three coffees. The price is definitely excessive considering how good the food was and how friendly the staff was.

03/03/2026: A true trattoria, simple and clean. The owners are always very welcoming and helpful. I feel right at home when I dine here. The fish is always fresh, and every time it's a surprise.

The decor is tasteful, but table spacing could be improved. Wheelchair accessible, but with some difficulty. Recommended.

22/04/2026: We went today to grab a bite to eat and continue our bike ride. As often happens, wherever we find a fixed-price menu, we take advantage of it. The fact is that in this case (which has never happened before), shortly after we ordered the daily menu from the waitress, a "caveman" came out and, yelling at the top of his lungs, informed us that the daily menu wasn't for normal people. Perhaps he should have specified what he meant by "normal" people... He probably meant that if you're not a worker, you're not entitled to it??? Anyway, we got up and left, shocked by such inane and lousy behavior.
