Nothing to complain about. Cute place, good pizza, friendly service. Good for a quick lunch.

In a city where a glass of water near a canal will cost you €6, Pizzeria La Perla in Cannaregio is a revelation. Tucked away from the chaos of St. Mark’s Square, it’s the kind of place where you can sit outside, watch the locals go about their day, and actually feel like you’re in Venice rather than a theme park version of it. The walls are covered in classic movie posters, giving the place a personality that’s as warm as the food.
The pizza is the real deal: perfectly blistered crust, fresh toppings, no frills, no fuss. The kind of meal that reminds you why Italian food doesn’t need to be complicated to be great. The risotto is also worth ordering, and don’t sleep on the starter bread. It puts most other restaurants in the city to shame.
Service is warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. On a good night, they’ll send you off with a complimentary limoncello, a lovely touch that caps the meal perfectly.
Honest food, honest prices, and you will leave full. Dine among Al Pacino and Marilyn Monroe and leave wondering why you didn’t find this place sooner. Skip the tourist traps near St. Mark’s and make the walk to Cannaregio. Your stomach and your wallet will thank you.

A rare gem in Venice!
A must-visit! We went two nights in a row during our stay because we were so captivated. The food is excellent and of very high quality. The staff is incredibly friendly and the service impeccable. Special mention goes to the very original decor which gives the place a unique charm. A perfect experience from beginning to end. Go without hesitation!

We loved what we had. We ordered one pizza to share and they cut it in half before serving which was great! The sausage and spicy salami were so flavorful. The wine was about the most generous pour we have had so that was a plus. Very friendly staff. The number of pizza offerings was on two pages literally anything you want it’s here. I do prefer a wood fired pizza and this was baked but we both enjoyed it very much. For the two of us it came to $43.

It was the best lasagna we’ve ever had. The ham pizza was also delicious, with a thin crust and plenty of toppings. We really enjoyed this place.
