08/12/2025: Nice hotel with nice rooms, but the amenities in the apartments were insufficient for us. We were surprised that there was no coffee maker, kettle or microwave in the kitchen.

11/07/2026: I went here for dinner for my birthday. Friends recommended it to us, and looking at the reviews, we were really inspired. The location is romantic and charming, the food is excellent, refined, and beautifully presented. The only flaw is the portions are a bit small. The staff were friendly, the wait was a bit long... Overall, I'd go back! Recommended!

14/04/2026: Ombra del Leone is a lovely restaurant located right on the Grand Canal, so yes, it's on the pricier side, but absolutely worth every euro. The setting is what truly sets it apart: far from the tourist crowds, you can enjoy a peaceful meal with breathtaking canal views. We actually visited on a rainy night, so dining outside wasn't an option, but even without sitting al fresco, everything was absolutely perfect. Inside, the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the service never missed a beat. Everything we ordered tasted amazing. The menu offers plenty of seafood dishes to choose from. We tried the spaghetti with sea urchins, the lemon swordfish bites with potatoe cream and the veal milanese, everything cooked to perfection. The staff was attentive without being intrusive, making sure we had everything we needed. If you're looking for a memorable dining experience in Venice away from the chaos, Ombra del Leone is a must visit rain or shine. Highly recommended!

18/04/2026: Lunch with friends. I had the opportunity to try a selection of cured meats and mozzarella, two first courses, and dessert. I found everything delicious and authentic. I also made a few purchases from the small shop at the entrance. Congratulations!

16/05/2026: Hello everyone, We are extremely disappointed with the service and management of your restaurant. We ordered the "Bigoli alle Vongole," but they were too salty. We told the waiter we couldn't have this dish—after having already eaten two different appetizers. The waiter took the Bigoli away from us and offered us something else to choose from. So we did. We were even more shocked when we received the bill: we had to pay for both the inedible Bigoli and the additional dishes we ordered. When we objected, the manager said we had to pay. In the end, we paid for everything, but we truly feel we were treated unacceptably. We ask you to take this complaint into account and advise other customers to choose another restaurant—not this one.

The breakfast is excellent, with both savory and sweet options, served on a very relaxing terrace. For me, it's a very well-rounded and, above all, very pleasant hotel.

Tucked away from the chaos of St. Mark’s Square, it’s the kind of place where you can sit outside, watch the locals go about their day, and actually feel like you’re in Venice rather than a theme park version of it. The walls are covered in classic movie posters, giving the place a personality that’s as warm as the food. The pizza is the real deal: perfectly blistered crust, fresh toppings, no frills, no fuss. The kind of meal that reminds you why Italian food doesn’t need to be complicated to be great. The risotto is also worth ordering, and don’t sleep on the starter bread. It puts most other restaurants in the city to shame. Service is warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. On a good night, they’ll send you off with a complimentary limoncello, a lovely touch that caps the meal perfectly. Honest food, honest prices, and you will leave full. Dine among Al Pacino and Marilyn Monroe and leave wondering why you didn’t find this place sooner. Skip the tourist traps near St. Mark’s and make the walk to Cannaregio. Your stomach and your wallet will thank you.

23/04/2026: The gelato was very good. I had the hazelnut flavor, which was rich in whole hazelnuts, and the pistachio flavor, with pistachios and pieces of pistachio chocolate. The honey and walnut yogurt was also good, with a rich flavor, and a chocolate variegated flavor of the day. The €4 xoppa was very large and had two flavors, while other nearby gelato shops sell a scoop of gelato for €2. I recommend this gelato shop for anyone who appreciates good gelato. Congratulations, two tourists.

10/07/2026: I'll start by saying that the staff is very welcoming and kind, they make you feel at home. I've been coming here and celebrating my birthdays for 5 years now, and I've never had any problems; in fact, everything's always perfect. I highly recommend it.

09/07/2026: We asked for a vodka lemon and a lemon tea, they arrived with gin lemon which is fine, and the waitress puts the can on the table calling it lemon tea... moreover, after I asked her for a straw if possible she replied yes very annoyed, I'm still waiting...

14/04/2026: Family-run trattoria; nothing to complain about the quality of the food. However, we paid €45 each for lunch for an appetizer (eggs and asparagus) and a first course (spaghetti with clams, or in my case, salad with parmesan cheese on the side—since I'm vegetarian), plus a carafe of white wine, a bottle of water, and three coffees. The price is definitely excessive considering how good the food was and how friendly the staff was.

03/03/2026: A true trattoria, simple and clean. The owners are always very welcoming and helpful. I feel right at home when I dine here. The fish is always fresh, and every time it's a surprise.
