M4 Cento restaurant bistrot In Chioggia

My elderly father and I had a lovely lunch at this beautiful, elegant restaurant with a splendid view of the marina. Riccardo welcomed us with extreme kindness and professionalism, with particular attention to my dad. He was truly a special maître d'! We savored delicious, refined dishes, a real treat for the palate! The ingredients were top-quality! I also thank Ricky for his excellent wine pairing advice! We'll be back! Highly recommended! The dishes are truly delicious and rich in flavor, with perfect portions if you're someone who eats 🍽️ just the right amount. I, who usually eat a lot, would have ordered more, hahaha. The prices 💶 are in line with what you're served, both in terms of quality and taste, and aesthetics. Very spacious seating and a quiet atmosphere with jazz music in the background🎷

Excellent food, especially the parcels with red mullet sauce, birrata (a type of beer), and red shrimp. The Bavarian cream is a work of art, even aesthetically. The Lake Garda olive oil is excellent. The Areore white wine is excellent.

Very beautiful, well-kept, and elegant location. Delicious dishes, fresh ingredients, and a wide selection. The wait time was just right for a Romanesque restaurant at the end of April. The service could be improved; they brought us an extra appetizer than we asked for. We asked for another bottle of water after the third request to three different people, and it was brought to us, so this could be improved.

What can I say... sublime to say the least! Each dish was an experience and a riot of emotions. We'll be back soon!

I don't usually like to write negative reviews because I always try to justify some mistakes made during a restaurant's service. At the same time, I think it's also right to point out mistakes in order to try to improve in the future. For this lunch, I wasn't particularly impressed with the dishes (good, but perhaps the prices weren't justified). Overall, I ate well, but even the desserts weren't unforgettable. The downside, however, I don't think was the bill at the end, but the service. The staff weren't terrible and were even quite polite. However, I initially asked for a bottle of wine from the wine list, and it wasn't available (considering that the same thing happened when we were here a year ago). Of course, these things can happen, and I certainly couldn't help but ask for another bottle. That said, at our table, we asked for extra bread (obviously for a fee), and it arrived at least twenty minutes later, just as they were about to clear away the plates we wanted to mop up. I understand the wait if the place is busy, but yesterday it wasn't so busy that there wasn't even a little time to dedicate to the customer. Later, when it came time to order dessert, they took away our bread basket without asking if we wanted to finish it. I'm paying for the bread separately, so while it's fair to clear it from the table before dessert arrives, I would have appreciated it if they'd asked us first. At the end of the meal, we asked for an amaro, not a commercial one, but something different and, above all, NOT very sweet. Their response was, "So you want an amaro with herbs." Yes, okay, but all amaros are herbal... At the end, they brought us a liqueur that had hints of cinnamon and vanilla. It was good, but I hadn't asked for that. At that point, I would have preferred them to bring us a Fernet Branca. Overall, I noticed many shortcomings, such as the cutlery being forgotten several times, and not just at our table, or the failure to bring a little oil, salt, and pepper by default, considering I'm paying €4 per person for the cover charge.

The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, the food is good, the portions are not large, the price is slightly high.
