22/07/2025: Took my husband here for a birthday sweet treat, to be greeted by a really unfriendly, impatient and disinterested member of staff! I do hope she wasn’t the owner, as she also gave my husband an espresso instead of an americano, we of course didn’t bother her with the mistake. Put a negative vibe on what should have been a fun birthday celebration moment! We didn’t stay long, shame!

22/02/2025: We were taking a walk and decided to stop at this pastry shop. Good hot chocolate. I also ate the pancakes, but I didn't like them, too greasy with oil. Good service, friendly and polite staff. Nice place, well furnished. Correct price.

10/07/2025: Carissimi della Locanda San Martino, sono Giuseppe, e ho dei ricordi meravigliosi legati alla vostra Locanda, risalenti agli anni '90, quando la signora Nella Aldo accoglieva gli ospiti con tanta cura. Ricordo con grande piacere le esperienze culinarie e l'atmosfera unica che ci lasciavano sempre super soddisfatti. È da tempo che desidero tornare a trovarvi, non solo per ammirare la bellezza di San Martino, ma soprattutto per ritrovare i sapori e l'eccellenza della vostra cucina, che sono sicuro sarà rimasta di altissimo livello. Non vedo l'ora di potervi fare visita e rivivere quei momenti speciali. Un caro saluto,

06/06/2025: Sicuramente tornero'. Ho altri piatti da assaporare. Ieri sera sono stato coccolato con 5 piatti, tutti riusciti. Abbiamo iniziato con del baccalà con spuma di patate e n'duja. Ottimo bilanciamento. Ho mangiato del baccala' alla vicentina due sere prima, ma qualità e quantità, allo stesso prezzo, non comparabili. Volendo assaggiare due primi (fettuccine al capriolo e tortelli al capriolo) abbiamo chiesto di smezzare le due porzioni nello stesso piatto. Per evitare contaminizazzioni di sapori ci sono state servite due mezze porzioni. Un'attenzione graditissima. Fettuccine callose e cottura perfetta, condimento ottimo, così come i tortelli. Non saprei quali preferire. Abbiamo continuato con una variazione di piccione. Che dire, sono umbro ed il piccione per me è un piatto must. La creazione fatta è anch'essa da applauso. 5 sapori tutti riusciti. Ho assaggiato anche l'agnello in cottura tradizionale. Anche qui sono ferrato ed il piatto ha superato ampiamente la prova. Il servizio è stato attento, i piatti descritti sia prima dell'ordine che al momento del servizio. Insomma, una pecca va trovata e riguarda un vino bianco portato a tavola a temperatura ambiente, ma grazie al cestello di ghiaccio in 5 minuti portato a temperatura pressoché corretta. Prezzo piu' che adeguato a quanto mangiato, . Tornerò.

04/06/2025: Lovely little restaurant with amazing service and delicious food! The staff was super friendly and spoke English very well, they even gave great tips on both wine and food. After a long and exhausting hike, we spotted goulash on the menu and didn’t think twice, it was the perfect comfort food after a full day on the trails. Highly recommend this place! And if you’re into white wine, definitely try the Vino Bianco Jenna by De Bacco, a local gem from the Dolomites, and absolutely delicious.

19/08/2025: The view from the restaurant is very impressive. It's a shame that the mushroom tagliatelle, while not cheap, lacked flavor. The French fries weren't the best either.

12/08/2025: We arrived at 12:30 and waited an hour and a quarter for just the first courses. I had the dumplings, which looked good, but tasted like nothing. For the second course, after another half hour of waiting, I had the sausage with polenta, mushrooms, and melted cheese. The cheese was cold, and they added a beer to the bill, which I hadn't ordered.

14/07/2025: Bella serata trascorsa con mia moglie all’Agriturismo AI Lares. Ottimi piatti scelti (Canederli e Pancia di Maiale con riduzione al vino rosso e frutti di bosco con polenta) e uno spettacolare millefoglie alla crema. Daniele, il nostro cameriere, molto gentile e premuroso. Prezzi assolutamente onesti! Consigluatissimo.

13/07/2025: Ein bisschen abgelegen in den Bergen, aber eine hervorragende Küche mit vielen eigenen Produkten. Preis/Leistung stimmt auf jeden Fall.

17/08/2025: In my opinion, they take in too many customers for the staff to handle. The waitresses are very kind and helpful, but they can't keep up with the pace. Everyone at the counter is yelling at each other because there's so little organization; it took us 15 minutes just to pay. The food is tasteless, especially considering the price, which is higher than at many other shelters.

31/08/2025: I work locally during the summer months and this is a local place for me to go to, and sometimes I go for a drink after work. The location is fantastic, but they have very rigid rules that take away from the experience. For instance the fixed times about the lunch slots (either 12:30 - in which case they would rush you) or 2 pm (much better if you want to relax). But today I happened to go around 12:15 after work and wondered whether I could have something for lunch. It seemed to be half empty outside, but I was told that it was booked up. It doesn't make much sense and it's not very welcoming - especially if you are visiting for the first time. Another senseless rule is the bar closed between 12 and 4 pm. The overall impression is that you are only welcome at their condition. I also have to add that I have only had lunch once this summer, and the quality has gone down a bit, while prices have gone up. The quality/price ratio has definitely worsened. I don't think I will be eating there soon again, while in the past I used to go at least two or three times over the summer. Having said all that, the food is still ok, and the location, probably, the main attraction of the place. Hope this helps some visitors from abroad.

18/08/2025: This is our second time here, but I don't think we'll be back. The service needs improvement; they're very rushed and take away the bread and breadsticks while we're still eating. We had more than half an hour before the second sitting. It's a shame, and I wouldn't recommend it.

04/01/2025: Ciaspe mezze crude all'interno, abbrustolite all' esterno. Pomodoro cotto pochissimo e di cattivo sapore. Condimento poco curato (i miei galletti erano completamente insapore). Bravi i camerieri, cortesi e veloci, ma la pizza è ai limiti del mangiabile. Eravamo stati alcuni mesi fa (settembre) ma ho trovato una qualità decisamente peggiore adesso. Peccato.

28/11/2024: Ho sentito molto parlare di questo locale e sicuramente la cena di ieri non ha deluso le mie aspettative. Abbiamo ordinato una pizza Alpino e una Botte del Re. La Alpino con la sua soppressa di cinghiale e le patate era molto particolare e caratteristica, l'abbiamo apprezzata molto. La pizza botte del re non ha deluso la nostra voglia di piccante, la n'duja ci stava davvero bene. L'atmosfera è informale, molto accogliente e familiare. Il cameriere, Michael, che ci ha serviti, era molto competente, rapido e simpatico. I suoi consigli per la cena si sono rivelati azzeccatissimi. Torneremo sicuramente a provare pizza al vapore e ciaspe.
