24/01/2026: What an absolute treasure this place is. Spent 5 days skiing with Tiziana and being treated to superb hospitality by Gianluca and his team. The accomodations were comfortable and the dinners were delicious (thank you Carmine!) ... And the views each morning (see pictures) were simply stunning. If you have a chance to go and stay here during the winter ski season ... JUST DO IT and thank me later!

06/01/2026: We visited this restaurant on New Year's Eve. It's important to note: it's not our first time here; we have a house nearby, and we've always had a great time. The food is good, the atmosphere is refined and welcoming, and the staff are always friendly. For these very reasons, we chose it to celebrate New Year's Eve. For the occasion, we were offered a smaller menu, with some seafood options (from the mountains?). When asked about the provenance of the fish, the waiter had to go to the kitchen to find out, which was a bit perplexing: it's hard to accept that someone doesn't know where the produce you're serving comes from, especially for dishes like €35 lobster linguine. The final answer was "American"—a rather generic definition, considering how "big" America is. It's also disappointing not to find a single one of their classic dishes (cheese, pastin, or polenta). The prices, decidedly higher than usual, were still acceptable, considering it was a New Year's Eve party. What really left us perplexed, however, was the handling of midnight. At 11:30 PM, noticing that some people were already leaving, we asked if there was a free toast. The response was that "they were considering offering something," a rather odd statement half an hour before midnight. After about ten minutes, we were informed that, to toast, we would have to order and pay. Midnight arrived without any countdown, without a moment of sharing or a small symbolic gesture. Let's start by saying that we know the restaurant's atmosphere well and weren't expecting disco music, but at least a minimum amount of attention to celebrate the arrival of the new year was welcome. The evening ended with a bill of around €80 per person. Frankly, for that kind of money, offering at least a glass of prosecco would have been a much-appreciated gesture, fitting for the occasion. It's a shame, because it's still a restaurant where the food is good, but the New Year's Eve experience definitely fell short of expectations.

24/01/2026: There's no value for money. Three of us had lunch, one dish each, and the bill was high. The house dish was barely adequate in both quantity and quality, but the price was truly excessive! A shame because the setting is quaint.

26/09/2025: Today I ate the best casunziei in the world (obviously after my mom's ❤️). Thin pasta, creamy filling, and a killer sauce. So good we had seconds! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

15/02/2026: A completely different experience... we came to the mountains and ate as if we were at the seaside... the seafood menu was delicious! All the dishes were generous, beautifully prepared and paired with taste using fresh ingredients!! I was also pleasantly surprised by the bill! Compliments to all the staff!! Highly recommended!!

22/03/2026: If you’re in Cortina and don’t stop at Il Vizietto Di Cortina, you’re doing it wrong. We walked in with no reservation, fully expecting to get turned away, and instead were welcomed like regulars. That set the tone immediately. Marco and Mattia took care of us all afternoon and were nothing short of elite. The kind of service that doesn’t just meet expectations, it quietly raises the bar. They picked up on the fact that we were visiting and went out of their way to make the experience memorable. On-the-house appetizers, limoncello, and pistachio ice cream showed up like it was just part of their standard playbook. No big show about it, just genuine hospitality. Glasses were never empty, the vino kept flowing, and every dish came out hot, fresh, and dialed in. You could tell there’s real pride in what they do, from the kitchen to the floor. The atmosphere ties it all together. Warm, cozy, mountain-lodge vibes that make you want to stay longer than you planned. It’s the kind of place where you walk in for dinner and end up settling in for the whole evening. Food, service, atmosphere… all 10/10. But what really makes this place stand out is how they make you feel. Not like a customer, like a guest. Absolute must-stop in Cortina.

22/03/2026: Fair warning, there is a $10 cover charge just to dine here. Very nice staff that took good care of us, but the food quality was sub par. The bread was stale and hard as a rock. Maybe our fault for what we ordered, but all meals had pumpkin as a major ingredient. In March, pumpkin felt off and not fresh. A lot of purées that reminded me of Gerber baby food more than high end sauces. The staff was nice and the restaurant was clean, just not to our liking. They did ask for a google review and kept bringing “free gifts” that were things like a bread basket that are normally standard at most restaurants, so overall felt very gimmicky.

03/02/2026: I came in for the first time on Saturday and was pleasantly surprised!! Such a small town with such a gem of a place!!! The owner was so kind, it felt like home!!!

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT TO EVERYONE AND I'M SURE I'M SENDING YOU TO THE RIGHT PLACE. I forgot to compliment the guy who makes the ice cream too. Super good!!

04/01/2026: We stopped by chance for lunch at this place, and it was a real discovery! Very fair prices: starters max. €13, main courses around €15, and desserts around €5. They have several gluten-free main courses and desserts for celiacs! A truly respectable stop in Cansiglio.

03/01/2026: We spent two nights in this lovely hotel in a very quiet and peaceful location, with private parking, convenient to the town center and close to the lake where we took a wonderful walk. We were assigned a beautiful quadruple room despite having booked a triple, and we were able to check in an hour early because the room was ready upon our arrival. The beds had warm duvets, very comfortable mattresses, a small mini-fridge, a kettle with tea and herbal teas for all tastes, a safe, and a spacious bathroom with a towel warmer, a hairdryer, and a huge shower. Impeccably clean and the owners were extremely helpful: even though it was late December, there wasn't any snow yet, but the owner directed us to where they had blown some, saving our day and our little girl was happy with her bobsleigh rides. Even though we had only booked bed and breakfast, they had no problem finding us a table and still serving us dinner on both nights of our stay. We really had a wonderful time.
