21/09/2025: I've been a regular at this special place for two years. It's located on the beach, overlooking the sea. The dishes are excellent, of excellent quality. And when Osvaldo serves them, with his lively charm and originality, his cheerfulness will infect you, and you'll find yourself enjoying an evening unlike any other. The breakfasts are generous, with a variety of options, excellent. The live music is always exceptional; people sing, dance, and have fun. A truly unique place.

02/11/2025: A small beer/sandwich shop at the beginning of Alemagna, run for years by a kind woman. The sandwiches made with poorly made bread are delicious, as are the crispy potatoes. Even though the place is small, there's plenty of choice for food, as it also serves bruschetta and a pizzeria. There's also a wide selection of draft and bottled beer, something for every taste...even an English pump is available. Prices are reasonable. Ample parking, but on a slope.

26/11/2025: We asked in the square where to eat bigoli. This typical, welcoming, and very charming place was recommended to us, where we had a wonderful time. We had excellent bigoli with duck ragù: truly a treat. The woman is also knowledgeable about wine and knows how to pair it with the various dishes. The desserts are also fantastic. Highly recommended, especially for the price.

17/11/2025: We visited this inn in Padua with local friends, and as Piedmontese, we thoroughly enjoyed the traditional, welcoming atmosphere. We loved the Paduan-style spritz and the famous Venetian cicchetti: everything was excellent, with authentic flavors and perfect portions to enjoy a little bit of everything. The place is well-kept, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is truly pleasant. A wonderful experience that we recommend without hesitation!

23/09/2025: After a long day of exploring Venice we had dinner at L’Osteria San Barnaba. We arrived late for our reservation, but the staff welcomed us warmly and never rushed us. I ordered the cuttlefish ink pasta, and it was extraordinary. The sauce clung to the noodles like velvet, rich and briny with the taste of the sea, faintly metallic in the best way. It even stained my tongue and fingers as I used bread to wipe up the last drops. My wife chose the homemade gnocchi in spider crab sauce, pillowy-soft dumplings bathed in a silky, flavorful sauce that she called some of the best gnocchi she’s ever had. We were there late into the night with glasses of Fratelli Brunello grappa, comparing tasting notes and enjoying the staff’s patience with my horrible Italian. Our server even smiled through my slow, deliberate attempt at a full sentence, encouraging me as if to say, “You’ve got this.” We laughed and made friends with a French couple at the next table, clinked glasses, and ended the night with a shared toast of limoncello. L’Osteria San Barnaba is the kind of place where food, wine, and warmth all come together. From the extraordinary pasta to the genuine hospitality, it’s a dinner we’ll be talking about for years.

22/09/2025: Very cosy, not too big, excellent vibes. Outside of mega tourist territory, but it's small enough that it doesn't feel touristy either way. Very coeliac friendly with very understanding staff. Gluten free pizza was decent by Italian standards and the best you've ever had by UK standards. Very affordable, good Aperol. Normal pizza was decent.

08/09/2025: My experience at this restaurant wasn't positive. I had a Smartbox voucher for two people. Cold welcome at reception, they see I have this voucher in my hand and tell us to go to the restaurant, an attitude typical of office workers. They seat us in a corner of a large room where within 10 minutes two large groups of people arrive, shouting and talking loudly and disrupting our lunch. I wonder why we weren't seated in another area where we could have lunch in peace. Then we get to lunch: very salty spaghetti with clams and dry grilled sea bass fillet. The sliced ​​beef requested medium rare, was instead raw. The waitress, a foreigner, who needs at least some training, since she wanted to put parmesan on my spaghetti with clams, brings me the sea bass, announcing: "Who is this fish for?" I don't even know the name of the dish she's serving. To top it all off, at 2 pm, when we were about to leave, the waiter comes over to point out that the restaurant is closing. But where have we ended up? Except for the view. The restaurant is dated, probably from the 80s or 90s. I don't know what it is. The rest are hotels and apartments. I doubt I'll stay at this "resort."

21/08/2025: The pizza was really excellent, as was the location and the service. Unfortunately, due to the crowds, it took a while to get the food on the table, but it's worth it. Prices are normal, maybe just a little high, but it's a nice little place both inside and out, and it's not very noisy inside, so you can talk without any hearing problems. Congratulations 👏

12/10/2025: The grilled platter was extremely greasy. The salmon, on the other hand, was very tasty. We waited an insanely long time that June evening (an hour or more). Perhaps we'll come back and give the restaurant another chance. Otherwise, only 3* for now.

26/09/2025: We spent a week there in September 2025. We were disappointed by the minuscule size of the room and bathroom. These spaces are simply below the acceptable level of cramped space, making them impractical and difficult for two people to use. There's little space for clothes, let alone suitcases. We only stayed in the room when necessary, during the day and, of course, at night. The "furnishings" are very sparse and cheap. The bathroom has a tiny shelf for toiletries, much too small. The shelf by the shower guarantees shampoo and soap will fall off during bathing. The folding shower cubicle is so small that it's impossible to bend down to pick up anything that has fallen. To sit on the toilet, you have to fold the cubicle door, but this requires closing the window. Then you can sit and put your feet in the shower tray, which is a tile-free floor. After bathing, the floor around the "shower tray" is wet, so I'm not sure how to shower carefully. Getting out of bed in the room requires closing the balcony door, which must be open at night for ventilation. Wi-Fi theoretically exists, but it's best to forget about using it – you can't access any websites or do a speed test in the room. The lobby near the reception isn't much better. You have to use data roaming to use the internet. Pros: A small fridge, a safe (unfortunately, it's locked with a key, not a code), and an electric shutter. Daily cleaning and towel change. Comfortable bed, clean linens. A fixed umbrella with two sun loungers is provided on the beach. The meals are tasty and harmless. Good location. Friendly staff.
