Is it any wonder that there's an affordable, delicious restaurant in Florence where you can actually leave full? And there's no cover charge!

01/07/2026: We tried almost the whole menu! I think that says more than anything else could! The lovely lady serving us was a wonderful host: so helpful, yet discreet. The surroundings are pleasant and the interior is tasteful, perfectly suited to the place and its purpose. I'll come back just to dine here again! Complimenti!

30/05/2026: Unfortunately, I have to give it three stars for a poor service we encountered twice in the space of three months. We don't live in Florence (it's an hour and a half by train to get there), and before going anywhere, we always look up the opening hours on Google and Instagram. Twice, despite trying to contact the establishment on Instagram and by phone (we received no response), we found the place closed. I'll show in the photo that the opening hours aren't updated on Google and Instagram; they're only on the shop door. The last time we found the shop closed, there was only a "closed" sign. In any case, I strongly recommend that the establishment update its opening hours so people can be sure they'll be open and enjoy an iced tea in this heat. Otherwise, I've been to San Tea quite often, and it's a really cute place that I always love returning to! But finding the shop closed after seeing online that it's open, well... it's truly disappointing. I hope the hours are adjusted after this review. My Instagram message went unanswered, and I sent it on March 28th, asking for a polite update on the hours and their new opening hours to avoid running into the closed shop again... it's May 30th, and I'm left with this poor service. And I repeat: we're from outside Florence, so I made sure to DM you on Instagram to avoid any inconvenience. We love San Tea, but unfortunately, we're always worried about finding it closed if we can't trust the opening hours we find online. I hope you'll be more active and precise online after this review. We'll definitely be back!

20/01/2026: A fantastic, fairytale-like, intimate, and relaxing place. The food and drink are excellent. The hosts are kind, friendly, and always smiling. A place to return to just outside Florence. Thanks to whoever brought us here for dinner. Unforgettable!!

16/11/2025: A tiny little osteria. This season, there's only 14 seats inside in a bright space, and Francesca and Alice are attentive, efficient, and smiling, serving both humans and animals. The varied menu features traditional Tuscan fare, starting with an entrée offering pappa al pomodoro in the form of a small tartare. There were six of us, and we chose and exchanged the various dishes, all tasty and traditional, with a focus on vegetarians. €40 per person, including a Montalcino red, water, coffee, cheesecake, and a pear in wine. We'll definitely return, perhaps in the warmer months, when they can seat at least twenty more.

04/05/2026: Absolutely delicious pizza, the meatballs were divine. But I have to stress that the salad and minestrone soup were really well done as well and had generous portions. Very warm and friendly service which i appreciated and I love the euro electronic music playing in the background. 10/10 value for money, I'm not a pizza expert but this was a good feed.

25/05/2026: A small but well-prepared ice cream shop in Gavinana! Very interesting flavors, delicious gelato 😄 You can also enjoy your gelato at the tables right outside. The staff is very friendly and helpful, which is always a plus!

11/07/2026: In the centre of Florence we found this gem and couldn’t be more excited. We ordered a couple of mains and a dessert and they were yuuuuuuuuum . We had Tofu and saffron rice , lasagna and chocolate tart. Food was fresh , potion size generous and tasted incredible. Service was good . With very little Italian I could manage , staff were kind to help me to choose dishes based on what my preference was.

10/07/2026: After reading reviews, we went out of our way to find this signature vegetarian dining experience. We especially enjoyed the lasagna and the rigatoni. Both dishes were large enough for us to share. Fortunately, we took the advice of others and saved room for dessert, something we don't often do. We had 2 splendid items that were perfectly balanced between sweet and savory. I was so pleased with the last flavors of tart fruit with spiced crumb crust. This is the way to end a meal and not leave feeling overwhelmed by sweetness. Beyond the food, the atmosphere has an appreciatively organic feel with furniture and structure that had a reclaimed sensibility. It is worth noting that Il Vegetariano is filled with repeat locals who understand the ordering system. Make sure to plan to go with the flow. The staff will take good care of you and are happy to answer questions. Enjoy this hearty, tasty, whole food experience.

23/07/2026: The place was practically deserted, perhaps because there aren't many people around on a Saturday, perhaps because it was too hot... the fact is that we were the only ones there. This didn't diminish either the quality or the quantity. We had a good time and spent the right amount.

20/07/2026: EXCELLENT traditional Tuscan cuisine, reasonable prices. Very welcoming and clean place. Everyone is friendly and helpful. I recommend it and will be back.

29/03/2026: I went on a Friday evening for an aperitivo, but it was actually a full-service buffet dinner, with tables laden with a rich, authentic, and abundant variety of dishes. From cured meats, porchetta, cheeses, fried foods, meats, meatballs, ratatouille, parmigiana, pizza, focaccia, various pasta dishes, and much more, all expertly prepared using quality ingredients. The fixed-price menu includes a welcome cocktail and coffee. The only extra charges are the (delicious) homemade desserts, water, and wine. A pleasant surprise! The staff at the counter and among the tables are helpful and efficient. Highly recommended.

30/06/2026: I frequent this bistro often. During the Covid-19 pandemic, they were able to organize deliveries very quickly and provide assistance to those confined in quarantine. Coming back to today: the welcome is warm and makes you feel immediately at ease. The cuisine is good quality, with tasty and carefully prepared dishes, while the service is always attentive, fast, and courteous. I'd happily recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant lunch, with an excellent balance between quality, price, and service. Today, in this sultry heat, the kitchen served raw pasta among the first courses: I really enjoyed this simple dish, with ingredients carefully measured, each able to express its own fragrance, flavor, and freshness. My rating? 10 out of 10!
