28/12/2025: I traveled to Italy in October and ate here a couple of times. The food was spectacular, but the service was the best part. They made me feel at home the whole time and communicated with me in Spanish. The girl who attended me even gave me recommendations on what to eat, asked me what I thought about the food, and even invited me to a small Halloween celebration they were going to have at the restaurant, making me feel and know that I wasn’t alone. I didn’t have time to stop by to say goodbye, but I hope this comment lets them know how grateful I am. I would recommend this place again and again. ❤️

The vast and varied pastries, mostly made by the chef, are always fresh, with everything and more.
And at lunchtime, they surprise you with truly delicious dishes that are beautiful to look at.
I love it when I walk into this bar; it makes me feel at ease. The entire staff makes you feel at ease, from morning to night.
Chiara, who always welcomes you with a smile, is worth the price of admission alone.
And her brother Nico, now the boss of the place, who always manages to please you on every occasion.
Thank you for helping me in the morning. You are very important to me.

01/01/2026: We were guests at the Osteria for Christmas lunch. Everything was simply perfect, every dish was prepared down to the smallest detail. It's an experience you shouldn't miss when you're in Certaldo.
Even though we had three little dogs, they were treated like queens, with a blanket, water, and biscuits.
16/12/2025: Osteria del Vicario is a magical place, run just as magically by the host, who accompanied us throughout our stay. We also attended dinner, and it was a truly delightful experience that I would definitely do again. The atmosphere was unforgettable. My compliments to the chef again.

18/02/2026: The place is very nice and the food is good. However, I'm sorry to say that the table service isn't the best. We had to wait over 20 minutes to order, causing 2-3 tables to be passed over because we called the waitress but she didn't come. What was even worse was that at 2:00 PM, while we were ordering, she told us that everything was almost sold out, and that there were only 2 of the 4 starters left on the menu (and so many portions) and only 1 main course (again so many portions). This shouldn't happen in a restaurant, especially when you have all the reservations! And it's not that cheap!

13/01/2026: The restaurant's strong point, for me, is the food: everything is delicious and top-quality. The wine selection is also very interesting. Both these aspects are well-managed by the knowledgeable and courteous wait staff. The wait times are slightly long, so I recommend taking your time for a relaxing aperitif rather than rushing in and out.

19/10/2025: I politely pointed out to the waitress, of course, that the berries in the panna cotta were sour and a bit "off." She asks me again because there's too much lemon.
Perhaps I'd recommend tasting something before serving!
I go to pay and reiterate that it wasn't a question of the acidity of the lemon... they weren't any better!
Result: I charged for the panna cotta, and lost customers.
That's not how it's done!
We won't be back.
I reply to the owner: it's not a matter of personal taste, but of a product that's no longer worth serving in my opinion (they tasted like dirt/mold and were very acidic), so it's not a question of the lemon!
