29/10/2025: I'm disappointed to see how the food quality has deteriorated in two years. I went to this place for dinner on Saturday night after not being there for a couple of years; I'd always had a good experience there before, so I decided to return. Everything was pretty good as long as we ate cooked food (the spring rolls weren't bad, and neither were the ravioli, but the latter were already worse than I remembered). The real sore point was the sushi: both the raw and cooked ones were inedible. The rice seemed OVERCOOKED, and had been there for who knows how long, the fish was bland, and all you could taste was the mushy rice, which was stomach-churning and made each roll heavy to digest (I've attached a photo). So we ordered mochi, hoping to make up for it, but there was yet another disappointment: the mochi were served FROZEN, with ice on top. After having to leave six rolls because they were inedible, they even made us pay a penalty, even after explaining that the food hadn't been finished because they were too hungry. We were also treated badly because we pointed out that the food didn't seem fresh. Absurd. If they had simply apologized, I would have let it go, but after being treated badly, I strongly discourage and review the place.

06/07/2025: Beautiful ice cream shop and excellent ice cream. However, it is so sad to see a place like this vandalized with horrible scribbles and still no one has thought to remove them. It defaces the entire square! Wake up!!!!

19/06/2025: An excellent ice cream shop that in addition to ice cream offers other delicacies such as yogurt, cakes, cremolates ... all very good. The staff is always nice even when it is very crowded. Easily accessible.

29/06/2025: We went to this "pizzeria" tonight for a friend's birthday. We ordered from the kitchen rather than the oven: we were unlucky. Ambience: 80s/90s, which I personally don't mind, but without care and cleanliness. They placed us on the veranda where two large air conditioners stood out, not working. On a very hot evening they opened the windows and put a couple of fans. The result was not disastrous but not comfortable either, given the prices. Food: I paid over 55 euros for home-made food and badly cooked to boot. After a passable tomato bruschetta (but the bread is from a local bakery, not theirs), I had penne alla boscaiola in which the pasta was overcooked, the mushrooms were practically non-existent and there was an excess of cream that covered everything together with some scraps of cooked ham and some peas. If I had wanted a pasta with cream, ham and peas (badly cooked to boot) I would have made other choices. The result was that my mouth was filled with cream. The final blow was with the fried fish (a whopping 18 euros): a few squid and a few shrimp with a few tragically shriveled lettuce leaves. The batter was coming off and the consistency of this frozen fish was almost the same as that of a gingham, a sign that the raw material was not of quality and the frying was done badly. Inedible squid rings, shrimp probably fried and refried. In addition, some of my companions had ordered a fried vegetable dish that had the same problems and was inedible. Furthermore, the batter was dotted with black spots that indicated that the cooking oil had not been changed correctly, fish and vegetables had been fried in the same oil (which should not be done) and at too low a temperature. For 18-20 euros in Livorno they give me a very abundant dish with fresh fish and correct and light frying. Same problem with the French fries: few, small and badly cooked. If you don't know how to do things, they shouldn't be on the menu. For a personal bill of 57 euros (and with a receipt that indicated 57 euros for pizza and not the individual courses, another irregular and unprofessional thing) an experience absolutely NOT to be repeated, also considering that this place is in Quinto and not in Piazza della Signoria in Florence. The service was unprofessional and slow as well as inadequate for the bill paid, but also for a Festa dell'Unità: ten minutes to have a bottle of water changed or to have bread, and the place was semi-deserted. Long pauses between one course and another. No customer care. Waitress who didn't even know the dishes on the menu, who addressed 70-year-olds with the informal "tu" (I may be a bit old-fashioned, but in my day an 18-year-old would address someone so much older) and who then, bored, stood at the side of the room in a corner with her cell phone and cigarette in her hand. Unacceptable for any place. Conclusion: STRONGLY NOT RECOMMENDED

01/10/2025: We stopped for a break and consumed a corrected coffee and a cappuccino with a good apple tart pastry. The price was average and the staff were friendly.

13/11/2025: A wonderful cooking class experience with our two boys, ages 6 and 9. We made pasta. Lorenzo was very welcoming. It's affordable for people who don't cook much, and the explanations are clear. A must-do when visiting Florence!

02/11/2025: We went to Milkeria for breakfast and I really enjoyed it! I had an excellent crepe, made with quality ingredients and served with a smile. The owner was very friendly and welcoming, making the experience even more enjoyable. I'll definitely be back.

04/10/2025: A small pizzeria-trattoria located in the center of Vicarello. The atmosphere, though small, is well-maintained and welcoming, as are the attentive staff. Excellent value for money. My wife and I ordered two takeout pizzas: one with classic dough and the other with whole wheat dough. We enjoyed both, finding them easy to digest and using top-quality ingredients. The cake was also very good.

25/09/2025: We found this place because it was a popular spot in Scansano. Naturally drawn to the classic Maremma tortelli, we ordered it, but honestly, I was a little disappointed (they looked better than they tasted). The toppings weren't very tasty, and the filling was bland and dry. Afterward, I ordered a pizza, and it was definitely better than the tortelli, although I was quite impressed with the dough. So, for an appetizer, two tortelli, a pizza, water, and two coffees, it was €48. I would have expected something more, but that's a shame.

26/08/2025: I don't usually rush a review, but to make sure I don't forget, I'll take my time while I admire the sunset from behind the restaurant. What can I say... excellent pizza, and the stuffed pizza is superb... the delicious taste of things cooked in a pan as a kid. They had run out of something, like the cecina, which I love, but I was compensated with something else. Paid by weight, the price was more than satisfactory, and I almost didn't believe I was paying so little. You can eat in front of the restaurant on the street, with public benches available, or wherever you like, since they do takeout. The young staff are smiling and eager to continue this business, which is worth at least a stop when you're in the area. Thank you!

10/07/2025: We chose this place for a very informal wedding reception, as was the venue itself. We paid for the food separately. Since there were no other venues nearby, drinks were obligatory at the bar for all guests, no exceptions. I think €5 per drink is excessive, especially considering the quality, just as I think €25 for a bottle of prosecco is excessive in that context.
