16/02/2025: A fantastic environment, a wonderful and uncommon selection of local wines (compared to classic tourist restaurants), mouth-watering dishes. Friendly, competent and non-invasive (but very helpful) manager. Sorano is very beautiful, but even if it wasn't it would be worth a visit just for L'Ottava Rima.

27/09/2024: At over 300m above sea level you can make a wonderful stopover here. Were here at the beginning of October, there wasn't much going on and the service was extremely friendly. Clear recommendation.

22/08/2024: My Elban breakfasts during my bike rides are a must here. Magnificent view, excellent service, cappuccino and croissants always at the top.

08/03/2025: Saw this cute little cafe this morning, had a cappuccino and croissants. The crème croissants were still warm, super good. It was filled with elderly local people, so you know it must be good :)

09/04/2025: I bought 2 meals, sparkling mineral water and dessert at this restaurant. But the waitress managing our table (who happened to seem frustrated with us in her demeanor the whole time) didnt want to throw away our empty paper cups. To be clear, we didnt buy drinks elsewhere to enjoy in this restaurant, we just had empty coffee cups from our walk in our hands when we arrived, and it was common sense to us that the restaurant wouldnt mind throwing them away, since we were there purchasing meals. She picked them up off our table and handed them to me. When i asked her where the bin was she said she couldnt help with these cups. She tried to tell me to take them with me, so i went to the other waitress who threw them out promptly. Your food is great but your wait team needs to learn how hospitality works. This would have been a 5 star review if it wasnt for this. Paying customers shouldnt be made to feel like a nuisance. I will also note that one of those dodgy street sellers was allowed to walk into the restaurant with a bunch of junk in his hands to sell and he walked up to all of the customers trying to sell things while we were eating. It was quite uncomfortable and he was very obviously not there for a meal. I’m not sure of the rules around denying people entry, but he was clearly no patron.

04/04/2025: What strikes you about the vegetarian is the scent you smell when you enter: it reminds you of your grandmother's house after she has prepared so many good dishes. The menu changes every day and the value for money is excellent. We'll be back and back again!

20/02/2025: Large bar with adjacent laboratory for the production of pastries for celiacs. Seeing the numerous tables, I think that there is the possibility of eating for lunch. The products are good and varied. Sweet and savory. Excellent coffee. Polite and friendly staff.

30/03/2025: De l’attente pour trouver une table avec un accueil assez peu sympa. Puis attente pour être servi d’une pizza annoncé grandiose et en fait pas très bonne avec des produits assez peu qualitatifs. Personnel peu souriant. Il y a bien mieux à Florence

24/03/2025: A good pub / brewery in Empoli, easy to reach, parking available around. The place is very nice, small, well-kept with many nice things and various and fun references. They also have tables outside since they are under a porch, great for sitting down to simply drink. Pub food offer, decent quality. Wide selection of beers, there was not the best selection on tap when I went there, given the number of taps available, but they certainly rotate often. Definitely recommended both for a drink and for eating.

14/12/2024: Dry environment. The otter timbale is especially recommended. Suitable for families and other families.

10/04/2025: Stellar dinner! Special and delicious unique dishes... not to mention the desserts: spectacular... an ever-renewed menu, every time a pleasant surprise... excellent value for money... excellent and attentive service... I highly recommend it... I can't wait to go back ❤️

14/03/2025: Luxury tea time - expensive (around €9 for a tea) but a super wide choice of teas and different flavors It's true that the place lacks a bit of soul in terms of decoration - but there is a small interior courtyard which was very pleasant in the sun ☀️ The cakes were all very good, lots of choice too. The perfect place to take a break 🫖
