01/01/2026: Contrary to all expectations, given our choice to spend New Year's Eve at Nuk, a renowned restaurant known for its quality, I must report the extremely poor organization of the evening of the 31st. The staff was mostly unprepared, untrained, and poorly organized, hired for the occasion without any preparation. We ordered two recommended menus for the evening and noticed that some courses hadn't arrived. When we reported it, the staff pretended nothing had happened and denied the missing items. Of the four missing courses, two arrived. The menu wasn't respected, and other tables also reported this problem. No one performed the midnight countdown. There was silence and a terrible paranoia, and to top it all off, the DJ never arrived. When we customers asked for confirmation, some denied it, and some said he was running late. All this happened after midnight, and in the meantime, the place was emptying, to the discontent of the customers who felt cheated. The big New Year's bluff...in short, quality aside, nuk disappointed us!

18/08/2025: This is absolutely my favorite bar in all of Sicily! 💛 I first came here last year, and I've been back several times this year – and each time I've fallen in love with this place all over again. The food is delicious, the portions are huge, and the prices are so low it's hard to believe. Everything I tried – from the ice cream to the snacks – was perfect and prepared with love. The staff are the sweetest people in the world – warm, positive, and they make you feel at home. Plus, the unique atmosphere of this place makes you want to come back again and again. Since returning from Sicily, I've been thinking about it constantly and missing the taste of their food. If only they shipped worldwide, I'd go every day! I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone ❤️

11/03/2026: A photo of the slice of vegan Blackie I brought to celebrate my doctorate with colleagues. The cake was completely gone and everyone loved it, with a delicious hazelnut flavor. I highly recommend it, not only as a place to visit if you enjoy the company (and respect) of cats, but also as a pastry shop with expertise in both standard cakes and some vegan treats (like Blackie or Codina, both very good cakes).

29/05/2026: Excellent restaurant. I had a meat main course (veal steak), which was excellent and well-grilled. My wife had a mixed fried fish main course. This dish was also well-prepared and much appreciated.

11/04/2026: Excellent mini Japanese street food restaurant in the center of Palermo on Via Valerio Villareale. I recommend eating there. Since it's a small restaurant run primarily by one person, there are only a few tables, but my girlfriend and I always find a spot. Prices are reasonable. Excellent food. It's a type of food I don't think you'll find anywhere else in Palermo. Highly recommended.

Perhaps because, for those like me who hold the Matera dialect in their hearts, that word has a homely sound: it recalls the affectionate way of saying "Dad," with that ancient sweetness that belongs to our roots. In fact, the name recalls the Devil from the Divine Comedy. Driven by this assonance, I entered almost instinctively. And I discovered a place where the name isn't just a call, but a promise kept. The pizzas—from the most classic to the richest and most contemporary—tell a cuisine that doesn't seek special effects, but balance, quality, and respect for the ingredients. From the essential and fragrant Margherita to the more generous variations with arugula, bresaola, mushrooms, or delicate creams, every dish seems designed to welcome you, not to impress you. Even the non-pizza dishes, like the rich and carefully prepared salads, confirm the same philosophy: simplicity done well, without ever sacrificing beauty. The place is warm and well-kept, with a rustic touch that's not meant to shock but to put you at ease. And here comes the most important part: the welcome. A sincere thank you to the owner, who with class, courtesy, and a natural elegance made us feel not like customers, but guests. It's rare to find a place where the service is not only professional, but deeply human. At Papé, you sit down and feel like you've returned to a place you've always known.

22/03/2026: Nice, well-decorated place, but otherwise, it's all very good. You can't wait two hours for a pizza, like we and several other tables did at the same time. We ended up leaving with only fries. I definitely won't be returning. The only good thing is their red beer.
