19/04/2026: Definitely a total disappointment, it's not "Da Donato" the place is full in every seat and every shift only because it's dragged by the name but nowadays you eat better pizza in many other less renowned pizzerias in Bari, the service is fast but unfortunately through no fault of the people serving them they have to rush and therefore leaves much to be desired in the explanation of the raw materials and they decline to recommend, booked for 6 people they made us sit at a table so small that our legs were bumping between us and the waiters juggled to try not to drop the plates on our heads while we slalom between the tables, a completely unexpected experience.

02/05/2026: We had lunch with friends over the May 1st long weekend. The location was nice and welcoming. The service was quick and friendly. We ordered mussel sauté, four fish entrees, a fried fish dish, and a bottle of rosé wine. Everything was delicious and plentiful. Prices were average. I recommend it.

23/03/2026: The panzerotti were soaked in oil, the filling was dry, the mortadella was missing, and the cacio e pepe panzerotto had gorgonzola and no pepper. If you want to try a panzerotto from Bari, this is definitely not the place.

07/05/2026: When we came here to try panzerotti for the first time, we were very pleased with both the service and the food. However, during our second visit today, they came very close to literally throwing us out the door. First, the female cashier slammed our change onto the table aggressively because we didn't have the right coins (which was 50 euros and we said that we’re sorry about we didn’t have any other change). Then, an old gentleman working there snapped at us for not hearing our number being called. I should add that the number was announced in Italian, a language we don't speak, and despite clearly seeing that we were communicating in English, we were still treated this way, which really upset us. My spouse was furious at their attitude, but I had to get him out of there to avoid any further conflict. I don't know what their problem was, but the whole experience was very uncomfortable. We have no plans to return for the rest of our holiday. It's truly heartbreaking that our opinion about La Rotellina changed so drastically within just two days.

11/01/2026: The atmosphere is a mix of pub, vintage dining room, and retro lounge. The tables, chairs, and furnishings are a bit dated, but I hope this is a deliberate choice for the setting. The food and the dishes, however, are excellent. The staff is attentive, fast, and professional. Overall, a place worth visiting.

02/01/2026: If I could, I'd give it 10 stars!! This little restaurant is a real gem! Beautiful, cozy, and with the best service I found in Italy. Plus, the food was spectacular. We had the steak with porcini mushrooms and potatoes, orecchiette, and a baba for dessert. The rosé wine from the region was also spectacular. Simply perfect!! Congratulations to the team!!!

15/04/2026: What can I say? The restaurant is located in a typical Apulian building with stone walls and ceilings. The restaurant is very elegant and meticulously maintained. Regarding the menu, I can only say it's truly top-notch. The dishes are excellent and truly delicious. The appetizers are extensive and varied; both the fusilli with shrimps and the tuna en croute are excellent. Excellent service.

22/02/2026: We've been frequenting the old location for years because of the quality of the dough and ingredients used. The pizzas are of a high standard, but this is undermined, to our great disappointment, by the rudeness of the wait staff. Due to a slight delay involving two out of six people (who were seated on time and had also placed orders for the others), less than an hour into dinner, when we asked for dessert, the waitress "politely" asked us to desist and leave the table. Aside from the fact that we've never experienced such an unpleasant situation before, it will probably put us off continuing to frequent the restaurant. What a shame.

25/01/2026: I went to this lovely restaurant/pizzeria on a Sunday evening. It's not very large inside, but it's beautifully decorated and meticulously crafted. I ordered a taco appetizer, pizza, and dessert. One of the best pizzerias I've tried so far, with light, easy-to-digest dough and quality ingredients. I've tried a lot of pizzerias, visiting one a week, and this one is definitely in the top three. I highly recommend trying it. Quick service and a fair price/quality ratio.
