05/01/2026: There are restaurants where you eat well. And then there are places like Quarto Storto, where you eat and feel. We arrived there helpless, defenseless, and we left enriched. Rich in authentic flavors, sincere gestures, the kind of cuisine that doesn't need to amaze because it tastes like home. The signature dish is spaghetti all'assassina. Crispy, intense, direct. But it would be unfair to stop there, because every dish tells the same story: that of a family-run trattoria where time slows down and the heart accelerates. We were there with Elena and Pietro, sitting at an ordinary table that, for one evening, became the center of the world. Pietro tasting, Elena smiling, me believing that certain moments shouldn't be explained... they should be treasured. And then there's a detail that makes the difference, the one you don't find on the menus: it was their closing day, and yet they opened especially for us. Not out of duty. Out of kindness. For that rare form of hospitality that makes you feel awaited, not just served. From Quarto Storto, you don't just leave feeling full. You leave feeling moved. 04/01/2026: A lovely restaurant, very comfortable and family-friendly. The owners, Dario and Amedeo, are very helpful and courteous. The food is good and authentic, typical of Puglia's cuisine. Highly recommended.

08/02/2026: A positive experience. We stopped here after a lovely stroll through the alleys of Bari Vecchia, and we trusted our instincts... excellent food and welcoming staff. A worthwhile place!

02/06/2026: We visited based on an Instagram recommendation. We tried the panzerotti pomodoro, a typical street food from Puglia, and also the crocche di patate. The panzerotti is truly delicious! Despite being fried, the dough is crispy and very well-filled. Unlike many places in Bari (and elsewhere), they prepare orders on the spot, so you eat everything incredibly fresh – be careful not to burn yourself! That's why there's a queue, but it's totally worth the wait. We went two days in a row. Arriving early means a very short wait. They distribute tickets, and when yours is ready, you just go to the counter to pick it up. You can pick up your order and eat leaning against the low wall right in front, with a great view.

06/06/2026: While vacationing in Alberobello for a few days, I chose and booked this small pizzeria ahead of time, both because of the excellent reviews and because other "popular" pizzerias in the center didn't accept reservations. And I didn't regret it at all. It's located just steps from the historic center of this charming town of Locorotondo and has very few tables. However, the immediate impact was pleasant, thanks to the warm welcome of the owner (a Milanese architect who moved south for a sense of adventure, the climate, and the landscape). His partner (or companion?), a tall, blonde, and elegant woman, took to the wood-fired oven with ease and skill (never seen anything like it!). The pizzas, in various flavors, were light and very flavorful, and we thoroughly enjoyed them. At the end, they even offered us small slices of sweet pizza and a liqueur. Their kindness was greatly appreciated. The prices are very reasonable (as per the attached receipt), especially considering the excellent quality. Highly recommended.

23/05/2026: Delicious pizza dough, light and crunchy.. good quality cured meats and cheeses.. (the only flaw, so to speak, was that on the platter for 2 there was only one mozzarella)... small environment with just three tables and about 8/9 seats... kindness and relaxation.. there is also a final offer with limoncello and dolcetto.

10/04/2026: Large place, reservations recommended. One Saturday night we waited two hours for pizza; the next time they were there they were quicker. The atmosphere is a bit noisy. Good pizza: recommended.

09/05/2026: The staff is very friendly and they have many types of coffee, including some excellent ones. You can tell they know what they're doing.

05/05/2026: One of my favorite coffee shops, Umberto is an absolute master of coffee: professionalism, quality, and a wide selection are the hallmarks of this bar. If you enjoy coffee, not just as a post-lunch drink, but as a lifestyle, this is the place to go. In addition to a crazy array of preparations (cold brew, extraction, infusion, etc.), he also makes delicious coffee-based cocktails, and his homemade desserts are exceptional. It's a little more expensive than the surrounding bars, but you pay for the quality. Plus, the atmosphere is very pleasant.

10/06/2026: In the heart of the ancient city of Bitritto, we discovered a hidden gem. La Campagnola is a pizzeria located inside a former 17th-century olive oil mill. The location features ancient stone walls that lend the experience a relaxing atmosphere. The service from the entire staff is simply exceptional. The quality of the products is superb; I recommend the Slow Food cheese board and the Cinta Sienese pizza. Pizza chef Cosimo is a master of leavened products and will be able to recommend the best dishes for you, as will the entire staff. A fantastic experience; we will definitely be back.

10/06/2026: La Campagnola restaurant and pizzeria in the Bari hinterland, in the center of Bitritto, offers a balanced menu of typical local and regional specialties. The generous appetizers and welcoming atmosphere pay homage to the old 17th-century olive oil mill, which has been perfectly transformed into a refined, clean restaurant. Last but not least, a special thanks goes to the Bitonto prodigy, Cosimo, who gave us the opportunity to discover his world and his well-cooked, flavorful, and very light pizzas. I'll conclude by saying that the next time we pass through Bitritto, we'll definitely come to La Campagnola. And, as I always say, enjoy!

22/04/2026: Pay attention to the bill. After a couple of days, I noticed that a mineral water (€2.50) had been added to the bill, and a beer that was listed as €6 on the menu was charged at €10. Naturally, it costs me more to go back and complain... Along with the Catalan cream, which was sent back because it was liquefied and boiling hot inside (defrosted by too much microwave, poorly cooked???), this is enough to not recommend it, despite the good pizzas. The atmosphere is well-kept, but crowded with a few too many tables...
