08/02/2026: Beautiful place, very welcoming and patient staff...sometimes it takes a lot of patience. Very good dishes and a varied and original selection. The only drawback is a bit too much eucalyptus scent (?)...but that goes away. Must try!!

28/01/2026: A wide selection of both vegetarian and vegan dishes, both innovative and delicious, including a truly amazing vegan hazelnut pudding! The service is top-notch and incredibly fast. Reservations are recommended.

18/02/2026: For many years, it's been a go-to place for modern macrobiotic cuisine with a wide selection of vegan options. I've stopped here many times for lunch, preferring the one-pot meal, which is always perfectly balanced. The food is also very varied; I don't think I've ever eaten the same thing. It's a quiet place, even when busy. It's always best to book a table. Colleagues who eat omnivores have told me the tortellini are exceptional; it's worth a visit. [Addition: I apologize for the mistake; I called their stuffed pasta "tortellini," which obviously isn't meat-based... we non-Bolognese tend to call all tortellino-shaped pasta that, but obviously they're vegetarian here!]

The two of us ordered three sets of nigiri, one with tuna belly (outstanding), one with seared tuna, and one with fried shrimp, and four sushi rolls, which were very filling and truly large. We also drank two gin and tonics and two desserts. Total bill was €135. I will definitely be back to try the many other dishes on their menu. Highly recommended.

11/12/2025: When we got married at La Gaiana, Da Jari was the caterer for the wedding reception. Stefania and her team welcomed us from the very beginning and accompanied us until the very end. The great connection and strong relationship she has with the wedding venue were crucial to the event's success. Every aspect was handled with great availability, kindness, and professionalism. I speak of an event because, beyond the rehearsal of the wedding menu, the reception itself, and therefore the culinary choices, Stefania accompanied us and advised us on the management of many aspects that go far beyond the simple menu and food alone. She is the glue and an indispensable presence for the day to run smoothly without too much stress or complications. A wedding forces you to become an event planner for a day, a very delicate and heartfelt day, attended by so many loved ones. That's why I can only recommend Da Jari and La Gaiana Location and thank them for how they handled every single detail. Even and especially regarding the catering's "core business"—the wedding lunch—we and our guests were pleasantly surprised by the quality and quantity of food offered. We personally opted for a traditional Emilian menu (balanzoni, lasagna, suckling pig, and potato pie), which we and all our guests thoroughly enjoyed! Every request we made was accommodated, and no detail was overlooked (with particular attention to allergies, intolerances, etc.). Regarding the wine list, we were also able to choose from a wide range of options after a tasting experience in the cellar, which was also a very positive experience. We won't go into detail here; this review is a huge thank you to Stefania and her entire staff, who, in perfect harmony with all the other vendors and the venue owner, made our wedding PERFECT. Thanks to Stefania and her team, we were able to choose every detail, and thanks to their experience and professionalism, everything on our wedding day was perfect! Even today, after all this time, we still receive so many compliments: from the service to the menu, everything was exquisite and served with the right timing and portions! The always smiling and attentive wait staff didn't go unnoticed, as did the quality of the entire work. Having Stefania by our side even in the months leading up to the wedding is truly an added value: thanks to her professionalism and experience, she was able to guide us in the choices best suited to our needs and made the preparations a unique experience! 09/03/2026: An elegant and modern restaurant, with well-spaced tables (a rarity for a sushi restaurant) and a convenient location. Fast and friendly service. There's nothing to complain about in terms of quality, but the portions are way too small: you risk leaving the table still hungry, and for an all-you-can-eat menu, that's totally unacceptable. All the 5-star reviews must obviously be from people on a strict diet, otherwise I can't explain them. As for the bill, spending €35 per person without even alcohol or coffee is truly insane. I've never spent that much on sushi, not even in the center of Bologna or Milan. I'll still give it a fair rating because the quality is worthy, but the price-to-quantity ratio is absolutely not there.

Then I realized the reviews from last year were excellent, so we went. It was a wonderful experience. The place is warm and welcoming. A classy rustic restaurant. Beautiful. The menu ranges between tradition and quality innovation. Good. The welcome was warm, the service impeccable. The price? Absolutely average. I left wanting to return. The mystery of the reviews? It's been under new management for a year! Beautiful, good... Well done!

07/03/2026: A very pleasant place. It exudes peace and tranquility (there are also various "messages" around the bistro, which I'm attaching, which are very nice :)). I had a delicious "torta della nonna" (grandmother's cake) with custard and pine nuts (vegan). I also had a cappuccino with oat milk, and then I had water and coffee. A friend joined me for another cappuccino and three more waters (four waters in total). We spent €15, a low price for all these things, considering the place is right in the center and very beautiful. The girls are very kind! I recommend!

26/12/2025: The ice cream was excellent. The salted pistachio deserved an A+ and academic applause. But today I bought half a kilo of ice cream. The clerk, who wasn't very helpful, didn't even give me a scoop or a basket. And I even told him I was taking it to the hospital. It's a shame that the employees need to be chosen better. Especially if they're not very friendly.

30/10/2025: BEWARE of "too good to go" croissants⚠️ Yesterday, October 29, in the afternoon I purchased a bag for €4.99 (worth €15) and was quite dissatisfied. Besides the drastic change in attitude from the staff when I explained I was there to pick up the bag and not to buy, the variety was practically zero: I received 6 croissants. I have nothing to complain about, however, regarding the packaging and the empty croissants, which I found to be good and of decent quality. However, I find myself having to make a complaint here too, since the two chocolate croissants (two different types of creams, one of which I suspect was egg-based) had a filling so hard and/or acidic that they were inedible. It took me a while to figure out what flavor it was and that it was supposed to be chocolate, and I had to throw them away, even though I was disappointed given the app's anti-food waste policy. I realize fresh products can't be guaranteed, and that's fine, but those weren't even from the day before, or even the day before that... I'm explaining what happened because I'm in the midst of food poisoning and I'm hoping the situation doesn't worsen so I don't have to go to the emergency room. I hope the staff can intervene to prevent more people from getting sick, but in the meantime, I STRONGLY DISCOURAGE PURCHASING TOO GOOD TO GO FROM THIS BAKERY.
