08/08/2025: Hotel: Rooms too noisy due to a club across the street that hosts late-night karaoke nights, 15 meters away (we had to wait until the evening was over to sleep). Breakfast consisted of dry cakes, coffee capsules, and limited savory options. Restaurant: We booked the restaurant because the location is nice; we had high expectations, but that wasn't the case. The basics of catering are lacking (no comment).

06/08/2025: Mediocre hotel. Cleanliness needs updating, spiders in the corners near the bed. Let's talk about the restaurant. There are four of us (two couples) and we ordered two Florentine steaks, some vegetables to accompany the meat, and a bottle of wine. We waited for the meat to be cooked, and only one was served. When we asked where the other Florentine steak was, we were told we couldn't eat 2800 kg of meat. When we asked for salt, we were told it was bad for us. The vegetables were very few and tasteless! Absurd! We were all shocked! At this point, don't order, since the decisions about what to eat and how much to eat are yours to make! Absolutely avoid this place. Real dining is really far away.

19/08/2025: Nice and clean place, but the food wasn't great. We went for dinner; we were told there was a set menu, but there was no option to choose anything. Four courses were pre-determined, two of which were inedible and terrible. We left feeling really disappointed.

19/10/2025: Let me start by saying that this is my first review, and the experience was so negative that I feel almost compelled to write it to prevent others from encountering a place like this. Returning from a weekend getaway with my partner, we noticed this hotel bar/restaurant. The first negative sign, besides the dated and gloomy appearance, was that we spent over five minutes looking for someone to talk to before a very, and ONLY, professional young waiter came to meet us. Once seated, we witnessed a very unpleasant scene at a table where the owner of the business was sitting with her family. She was having a heated argument with her guests and, to top it all off, she repeatedly became rude to her dining room manager. The latter seemed to be in the clouds, causing slow service and causing her colleagues to shoulder all the diners. Long waits for a menu and to order (they kept passing by our table without even looking at us). We ordered an appetizer (grilled goat cheese), a main course (salami), and a first course (mushroom ravioli). Super-easy and quick dishes, for which we had to wait AN HOUR, without even an apology for the delay, which wasn't communicated when we were welcomed; we actually had to ask for it. The dishes, except for the appetizer, were tasteless and lacking in both aesthetics and quantity. When it came time for the bill, we expected at least an apology for the slow and disappointing service, or the usual polite question, "Is everything okay?", but before we even approached, the hostess presented us with the bill without even a thank you.

09/10/2025: The hotel is well located at the beginning of the pass road, and our room on the upper floor at the back was pleasantly quiet. We weren't satisfied with the service: it took several requests before someone took care of warming up the room, and especially the bathroom. We found it unspeakable that our credit card details and all our ID cards, including all signatures, were stored in the hotel's system, giving us no recourse against unauthorized charges. We were unable to obtain any insight from the staff. We won't book this hotel again.

09/08/2025: The bar was closed yesterday! It's probably closed all summer, but it says open on Google! Is it that hard to correctly list closing days on Google? ..if only out of a modicum of respect for tourists/customers...

21/08/2025: The staff is truly awful. I walk in and look at them like I'm an alien. I ask a question and they give me a rude answer.

26/07/2025: For two weeks, we went down every morning to start the day with coffee and a pastry, before heading out for walks in the area. We received excellent service from the barista, with a big smile and a cheerful start to the day. After two days she already remembered what we drink and eat in the morning. Thank you

18/10/2025: The staff were extremely helpful, friendly, and kind. They even let us have lunch outside of kitchen hours. Good food and fair prices. A very pleasant experience, thank you! Recommended.

20/11/2025: It was fine, but it's a shame. After a few years, we returned and it's not the same. The price is too high considering the location, the setting, and the overall service. Mediocre is making an effort, I'd say more like "Adequate." Cleanliness is a 5 out of 10. There's hair and dust under the beds, and very old dust on the lamps, on top of the pictures, and on the high electrical outlets. The carpets smell bad, and the sheets had black stains like those from machines. It's probably the industrial laundry's fault, like 80% of the times in the Aosta Valley. The service isn't bad, but it's not luxurious, enjoyable, or modern, so the price is unbalanced for what it offers. Otherwise, the staff was friendly and well-mannered. High rating for being helpful, but not worth the expense.

21/09/2025: I stayed four nights and everything was fine! The bottle of water in the room upon arrival was a real bonus. An excellent two-star. Thank you so much!

20/03/2025: Visited while in ski holiday , 2 adults & 3 kids. Realised we had been here 3 years ago when we last visited La thuile. They’ve renovated the dining room a lot so it’s really nice looking. Way more modern in style. Staff are so friendly. Wine list is good value. Food is very simple. Lots of pizzas which are good. Lamb chops are nice, 5 chops. Tagliata is nice too, but rocket was very limp. Sirloin steak good too. Overall meat dishes are nice, not amazing but that’s ok. Tiramisu was superb

08/03/2025: We noticed really quickly after we arrived to La Thuile that you need a reserveration. But the host offered us really quickly a take away alternative which we thought was a great suggestion. So 4 !!!! minutes wait - not more - not less - and we walked away with our very tasty veggie pizza. Great alternative!

23/03/2025: I didn't like the room we were provided. It could have been ok for a couple but not for a family of four. The staff wasn't welcoming or very helpful.

12/11/2025: This bar has become like a second home to me: the staff is friendly and helpful, and the products are excellent. It's the perfect place for a quiet aperitivo with friends, enjoying a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. I highly recommend it!

04/09/2025: Fifteen of us arrived at the half-empty restaurant, and they had a hard time getting us to sit down. We then ordered fifteen drinks, none of which came with a glass of ice and lemon, and some weren't even cans, but rather drafts without warning. After that, they didn't bring anything to eat. After we asked for some appetizers, they brought us a small bowl of chips and a bowl of peanuts, not enough for everyone. Then came the worst part: the price, which was outrageous for the service. I won't be back!

20/08/2025: A busy place, where I'd recommend a good coffee (really good) rather than a quick meal. The sandwich was well-filled, but the bread was dry and not fresh. The mocetta was decent, but not the highest quality. Prices are medium-high for a bar.

07/12/2025: We arrived to find a note hanging on the door, saying "Please wait, obviously outside." I, the owner, presumably, asked us, opening the door slightly, how many we were, considering other groups... he decided to let us in, a very small place, one table above the other, with 30 seconds to choose the menu. As soon as we sat down, he didn't even want to know what dishes we wanted without having a few minutes to consider the menu since he was on vacation in Aosta. After choosing the menu, I saw that there were two free tables near the bar. Why doesn't he use them? The table service is done by kind girls. The dishes are exquisite, the chef 100%... Nice location. I'll stop here... We wouldn't go again because of the owner's attitude. Too bad.

30/11/2025: The service was very average. We wanted to try a local wine, but the owner recommended a bottled wine rather than a carafe. He gave us incorrect information about the grape varieties! We checked using the QR code. The local dishes were of very poor quality. I do not recommend it!

20/07/2025: Baita molto carina, con una bellissima vista sulle montagne, ma scomoda da raggiungere per via di un tratto di strada sterrato dove pascolano le mucche (lasciando escrementi nel parcheggio). Cibo buono, ma prezzi elevati. Abbiamo preso una raclette per due, buona, ma ci aspettavamo delle porzioni più abbondanti per il prezzo pagato (27 euro a persona per quattro pezzetti di formaggio ciascuno accompagnati da verdure grigliate, pochi sottaceti e mocetta). Apprezzato il gesto di offrire l'amaro a fine pasto.

27/04/2025: Siamo stati nell'ultimo fine settimana della stagione invernale, a ridosso della chiusura degli impianti, infatti non tutto il menù era disponibile, tuttavia la qualità dei piatti disponibili è stata indubbiamente ottima. Personale molto accogliente e gentile, camera piccola, comunque confortevole, bagno grande e comodo con il doppio lavandino. Posizione strategica, panorama davvero incantevole a 360 grandi, vista sul Cervino mozzafiato. Decisamente consigliato.

08/12/2025: The products were excellent, and the lady at the counter was kind and patient. There was so much to choose from among the leavened products, and I was a little unsure which to choose. The shop was filled with the intoxicating aroma of delicious, expertly crafted pastries. Given the season, the entrance was overflowing with boxes of panettone ready for delivery or shipping, which ruined the cozy atmosphere of the bakery.

08/12/2025: What can I say? There are no words to describe the pastry shop's classy products, just like the ones master craftsman Morandin makes. I'll conclude my review with this. The review changes negatively since you can't place orders on your online shop, and especially you can only pay by credit card. I don't trust Morandin, so I'm blacklisting him for online purchases.
