05/08/2024: On Friday 21 June 2024 we organized the Perugian meeting "Hands off the Apennines" in the Philosophers' Gastronomy between the United Territorial Committees, the Perugia representative of the Verdi, Ambiente, Società association (Claudio Capitini) and the lawyer Valeria Passeri, expert of environmental issues. On this occasion of meeting and conviviality between the inhabitants of the internal areas and the citizens of the Umbrian capital, together with the good food of the Gastronomia Filosofi, we shared the need to protect the countryside, hills and mountains from uniform and forced industrialization projects ( wind farms on the ridges and photovoltaics in the green areas), incompatible with the different vocations and aspirations of the territories and its inhabitants.

19/07/2024: There are places like this in every city, town and village in the world! This is not just a delicatessen. This is a project that focuses on the human being, agriculture, healthy eating, and equality. Claudio the owner is a special being. The place is close to the historic center of Perugia and can be reached in a few minutes with escalators and then a short walk along Via dei Filosofi. If you go there you can't help but taste the delicious and healthy ice cream like the food that Claudio prepares...

10/05/2024: We only had dinner at the hotel restaurant and were absolutely positively surprised by everything we ordered. There were six of us and we were able to evaluate the house starter, various first and second courses, including side dishes, pizza and desserts; everything plentiful and of good quality. The restaurant environment is also worth seeing as some rooms were created from ancient cisterns. A round of applause for the courtesy and professionalism of all the staff. Obviously we will be back as soon as possible! I forgot, great prices.

09/05/2024: We chose this hotel because it is located in the center of Todi, a stone's throw from the main square and all the places of interest. The hotel rooms are modest and quite dated despite the 4 stars. Breakfast does not offer a wide choice or variety, perhaps because few customers have it. The reception staff are friendly and helpful. Parking in Todi is a problem, especially in the centre. This is why the hotel offers its own car park, which is not far away and requires a fee. The hotel also has a pizzeria restaurant with a nice terrace, but we preferred to explore the places in the city.

12/08/2024: Rude staff and unable to interact with customers in a kind manner. I won't go back for sure.

11/08/2024: Incompetent and unwelcoming staff. I don't think I will return to this place.

16/08/2024: Courteous service, good food, good prices BUT THEY OFFERED US THEIR OWN FIGS AT AN EXCESSARY PRICE!!!

28/07/2024: Simple but tasty dishes quality bulk wine honest prices small but characteristic place could do more friendly and familiar service there are also tables outside

12/08/2024: Nice atmosphere, very smiling and friendly service but avoid the kitchen. The “carbonara” pasta was so bad that even when hungry, it was impossible to eat it. And €3 for a bottle of barely cold water... Worst place of our week in Italy.

03/08/2024: Locale conosciuto da anni, dove al passaggio ci siamo sempre fermati con piacere, pizzeria e cucina veramente buoni e personale cordiale.....almeno fino a ieri. La cordialita' della titolare e' venuta meno quando ha visto il nostro cane, un pastore tedesco. In modo molto sgarbato ci ha detto che non potevamo mangiare all'interno del locale, solo ai tavoli fuori, dove faceva caldissimo considerate le temperature del periodo. Va bene tutto, ma non scortesia e poco rispetto del cliente da parte di un ristoratore, ci saremmo comunque seduti fuori, "rispettiamo sempre le regole".

27/07/2024: Se passate da qui fermatevi a mangiare! Merita veramente!! Ambiente semplice e personale molto cordiale e accogliente, cucina casalinga! Di ritorno dalla Val D’Orcia abbiamo trovato posto di Domenica a pranzo ed abbiamo mangiato veramente bene. Buono e abbondante il tagliere misto, ma il top sono stati i Pici a l’oca piatto fuori menu strepitoso un ricordo dei piatti di mia nonna che era della zona!! Insomma se siete in zona fermatevi!!

16/08/2024: Non consigliato. Posto che si atteggia a ristorante chic ma con piatti non all'altezza. Entree di benvenuto di anguria e ricotta salata,accostamento rivedibile e anguria con semi. Il pollo alla cacciatora consisteva in un pezzetto di petto secco e asciutto e un'aletta striminzita (senza coscia nè sovracoscia), con due olive a guarnire.... Il pesce spada non fresco e non di qualità camuffato da scenici impiattamenti. Servizio lento e prezzi alti per la qualità offerta. Coperto 3 euro a persona per mangiare su tovagliette. A completare il tutto acqua naturale dal sapore sgradevole. Mai più!!!

15/08/2024: Erba Luna è sempre una sicurezza, sia per la qualità dei piatti che per la cortesia del personale. Bravissimi. Peccato altri ospiti non all'altezza dell'ambiente attento e curato. Alla prossima Claudio.

13/08/2024: Fabulous food fabulous service fabulous location in this beautiful hilltop town. Imaginative food prepared to the highest standard and all delivered to our table by the excellent front of house staff. We could not fault our evening and to prove it, seven of us are going back for lunch on Friday. Keep up the great work.

24/08/2024: Excellent quality of the dishes and the bill does not make your wallet cry.

17/08/2024: We went for an aperitif. Booked for 7pm, seats became available at 7.30pm. 22 minutes to wait for someone to come and order. Once it was 8.10pm the waitress didn't remember the order and as we didn't receive anything to drink we said not to worry as we would leave. Not even 120 seconds later everything was magically ready and he remembered everything. The magic. Good wine, nice platter, bad cocktails. 1 platter for 4, 1 bottle of wine, 1 gin lemon, 1 amaro, €24 each for 6 people.

11/08/2024: I don’t recommend taking food. The croissant was tasteless and very dry, probably missing butter or maybe from the day before even thought I ordered it at 8:30 am. Espresso was average.

04/08/2024: Tappa obbligata nella bellissima Orvieto. Trattoria di alta qualità con personale cortese e competente. Primo abbondante e sfizioso. Prezzi onesti. Torneremo sicuramente.

31/08/2024: Avoid if you expect decent service and have functioning taste buds! Never given such a bad review... Terrible service, 30 minutes just to take an order. Tasteless pizzas and bruschetta. On the same evening several people complained, could it be a coincidence?

25/08/2024: Abbiamo chiesto di fare mangiare solo la bambina o se non fosse stato possibile sedersi, anche fare una pizza d'asporto solo per la bambina e ci è stato detto che il pizzaiolo non ha voluto farla perché doveva farne altre.... Non ci era mai successo! Rifiutare di fare una pizza ad una bambina! Veramente schifoso! Però se ci sedevamo tutti e 3 il posto c'era eccome.... Empatia zero! Da evitare come la peste!

06/08/2024: I grew up going here it was so much fun good food 😌 1960 was when I was a kid here. Looks like it has changed alot. I live in the UP now but miss this place and memories of parents..

01/08/2024: Excellent burgers! Fun, old school atmosphere (old school in a good way) and great location right on the lake. Pure Michigan!
