The only cafe in St Giorgio island. We had a couple of drinks and they gave us crisps and nuts. Rum and coke was really nice!
Good for a short stop to rest and reset. Didn't try any food, though!

We went to lunch at the San Giorgio Cafe during our visit to the island, and it was a pleasant experience.
A very charming location with a veranda overlooking San Marco and the city, offering a wonderful view.
The staff was very courteous and attentive, making guests feel immediately at ease.
We had an appetizer, two first courses, and two desserts, accompanied by two cocktails.
Excellent ingredients, from the vegetables to the pasta, and finally the desserts and pastries, all expertly prepared.
The two cocktails were perfect, including the original Venetian Spritz with Select!
One of our favorite places in Venice.
Recommended!

Highly recommended and a must-visit! In beautiful, unique, and historic Venice, on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), we discovered a gem with a privileged location, perfect for escaping the Venetian bustle and enjoying a peaceful moment in a cozy café and restaurant with a stunning terrace offering spectacular views of the marina, St. Mark's Square, and Dorsoduro (Punta della Dogana and the Basilica of Santa Maria della Salute).
In the incomparable setting of the magical island of San Giorgio, within the Cini Foundation, this bistro is the perfect stop for those seeking tranquility, a masterful gastronomic experience presented with meticulous care, and a unique panoramic view. A place to return to again and again, where art and beauty intertwine with the most authentic expression of Venetian cuisine and wine. Samu and Sasha welcomed us with warmth and passion.
The unpretentious atmosphere of Caffè San Giorgio and its attentive service allow you to enjoy a leisurely breakfast, a pleasant lunch, a cozy coffee, the ritual of an aperitivo, or the sophistication of a relaxed dinner. The prices are in line with the quality and the setting, and entirely justified. Whether in its well-appointed indoor dining room (essential for passing the peak hours during this heatwave) or on its terrace with breathtaking views of the lagoon across the pier, the ingredients sourced from small regional producers are prominent in its culinary creations. Iconic and select cocktails, such as the Bellini Spritz (a nod to the iconic Venetian cocktail made with peaches and Prosecco DOC) or a Labyrinth Spritz (dedicated to the experience of Borges's Labyrinth), are all designed to provide an unforgettable experience; and they even provide the recipe for each cocktail so you can make it at home.
With pleasant background music, the terrace stays open late during the Feast of the Redeemer, offering a gourmet buffet featuring seafood and meat dishes, spices, herbs, and flavors characteristic of Sicily. The Feast of the Redeemer has been celebrated for almost five centuries on the third Sunday of July to commemorate the end of the devastating plague of 1577. Since then, combining deep religious devotion with floating banquets and one of the world's most impressive fireworks displays, the faithful cross the floating bridge to the Basilica of the Redeemer for the celebrations, while the city gathers to uphold the profound meaning of the festival.
To reach San Giorgio Caffè, you can cross the canal by water taxi or take vaporetto line 2 to San Giorgio Maggiore from one of the San Zaccaria piers (eastbound towards Giudecca/Tronchetto). Furthermore, exploring the monumental Giorgio Cini Foundation complex (including the Le Stanze del Vetro exhibition gallery, the Monastery, and the Vatican Chapels) and the Basilica of San Giorgio (and climbing its bell tower), an oasis of peace and culture far removed from the usual tourist routes, is well worth it.
Thank you so much, Samu and Sasha, and see you soon!

Sasha is the best waitress I've ever met. Her friendliness and kindness alone make lunch here worthwhile. Plus, the food is delicious, you can relax with a sea view, and it feels like you're far from the tourist chaos of Venice. Every visit feels like a mini vacation!

I came with my baby daughter and just ordered a freshly squeezed orange juice for us to share. The waitress, Sasha, was so sweet to my daughter. She brought us the orange juice divided into 2 cups and with a straw for my daughter, and brought a cookie, chocolate and a little piece of cake for each of us to have with our orange juice. My daughter loved it! Sasha really made our time there special.

Great location, beautifully designed – delicious and nicely presented cappuccino, but at €7.50 it was rather overpriced. The service was friendly, but seemed a bit disorganized.

Exhausted by the crowds on the main island of Venice, I took a water bus to San Giorgio Island. After seeing the cathedral, I came to a nearby café to rest, and I loved it. The local atmosphere was great, and the terrace had a wonderful vibe. The Virgin Cocktail was also delicious; it was a sweet, non-alcoholic drink. The female server was friendly and spoke excellent English. 1000% worth visiting!
