As a birthday treat, we decided on the 50 Euro 4 course menu for Sunday lunch, which turned out to be perfect.
Firstly the homemade breads, oil, and amuse bouche arrived, a course in themselves and quite delicious. Antipasti we chose the vitello tonnato a fabulous take on an old classic - the hazelnuts made it! Then the mezzelune carbonara, also wonderful mezzelune filled with carbonara egg and crunchy guanciale on top. Then we had the capocollo with a prickly pear gel….mmmm, then came a coconut ice with tart mango sauce before the dessert we ordered which was a tarte tatin with yoghurt ice cream. To finish off they served a coffee crème brûlée, macarons. It’s sounds huge but each course was a portion shared, so the amount was perfect.
One of the best meals for a long time. Pricy but special!
