09/10/2025: The best of tradition! The restaurant is located within Bolzano's restricted traffic zone, in a very touristy and busy area. The average price is around €35. Parking is obviously not nearby, and being in a large, crowded city, it's not easy to find, but it's definitely worth the effort. The restaurant has a main dining room and a series of other rooms that can accommodate a large number of people. It has a very typical Bavarian feel, with great attention to detail, both spartan and very pleasant, with rough wooden tables, benches, and copper pipes that carry the beer directly to the bar. The clientele, being a restaurant of this type, is quite diverse, especially favored by groups looking for traditional food at an even below-average price. Obviously, tranquility and romance are not part of this establishment. The welcome is typically Bavarian, seemingly very "upscale," yet always attentive to each guest's needs, striving to convey the warmth of the Stube, which was traditionally the room housing the stove where everyone gathered and celebrated. The staff is very helpful and friendly; obviously, the service isn't professional, but rather typical of an Oktoberfest, where celebration and merriment are a must. The tables have placemats, not tablecloths. The menu is printed but very well-structured, ranging from the countless Bavarian dishes on offer, each with its own unique characteristics. The prices for individual dishes are actually below average, despite the quality and generous portions. The cuisine, as already mentioned, is, in addition to the pizzeria, typically Bavarian, with dishes from the South Tyrolean region. The ingredients are of good quality, and the dishes are beautifully served, even in pans or wooden cutting boards, which further enhance the atmosphere. They are beautifully plated without skimping on quantity. The idea of ​​minimalist cuisine has been completely abandoned, offering flavorful and generous dishes that always respect the raw ingredients, which are highlighted. The presentation is neat, pleasant, and quite meticulous; the temperature of the dishes and the food is respected, while the quality of the cooking is remarkable. What I appreciated most is the festive atmosphere that permeates the entire place. We obviously ordered a series of typical dishes, and in no time the table was laden with every delicacy, from cold cuts to dumplings, from sausages to sauerkraut. Each dish was cooked to perfection, each dish had its own platter, ranging from pans to cutting boards. Obviously, not knowing the portions, we got a little carried away, but that's understandable, as you want to try everything. The place doesn't have a very well-stocked wine cellar; the focus is obviously on Paulaner beer, which sponsors the place. And how could we miss the desserts, all homemade? We dug into the house-made strudel, and it certainly wasn't any less delicious than the rest. I honestly don't feel like criticizing it, as it's a typical place, with excellent cuisine, a wonderful atmosphere, good beer, and a festive clientele—in short, what else? The service is "warm," fast given the number of people, attentive and courteous, while the wait times, despite the crowds, are average. The place is generally spotlessly clean, while the atmosphere is very engaging, creating a festive atmosphere that is very rare in Italy. My rating is obviously 5/5 because, while the cuisine can always be improved, the atmosphere is unparalleled. Obviously, in my humble opinion, it's a place absolutely not to be missed, but I recommend booking, otherwise the wait can be very long. My advice is to stay where you are. 08/06/2025: A small hotel in a very beautiful location. The rooms are modern and comfortably furnished. The bathroom was very nice and large. From the balcony, we had a fantastic view of the Latemar. The hotel is located at an altitude of almost 1,400 meters. The breakfast was good. I definitely recommend half board. There's a salad buffet every evening, followed by a fantastic four-course meal. The food was always excellent and very varied. There's always a vegetarian option available. The small garden is very well-kept. There's also a charging station for electric cars. We were extremely satisfied.

23/09/2025: I've been to this restaurant and I can say it was a true culinary paradise! The pizza was cooked to perfection, the fish was fresh and flavorful, and the desserts were a true delight. But what really made the difference was the quality of the ingredients used. The owner, Pasquale, is a true culinary enthusiast, and it shows in the care he takes in preparing each dish. And if you're lucky, you can even try the famous warm caramelized almonds made by Pasquale himself! It's a unique and delicious experience. But what struck me most was the restaurant's welcoming atmosphere. Pasquale is perfect and knows how to make guests feel at home. The service was impeccable, and the staff was very friendly. In short, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a high-quality culinary experience and a welcoming atmosphere. I will definitely be back!

09/09/2025: Decent but not memorable We stopped by Pizzeria La Veneziana for a casual dinner. Overall, the experience was okay, but nothing really stood out. The kids had Margherita pizzas, which were fine – nothing to complain about, but nothing special either. I tried the crudo con bufala e asparagi, and unfortunately it didn’t work for me. The asparagus were marinated, which gave the dish a strange tang and threw off the overall taste. We also ordered the bruschetta mozzarella. It looked promising but ended up being just okay – toasted bread with cherry tomatoes and some mozzarella, but a bit underwhelming for the price. Service was decent, and the place has a typical pizzeria atmosphere, but I wouldn't go out of my way to return. Not bad, just very average.

05/10/2025: A cozy restaurant in Bolzano’s city center with warm hospitality. The waiter greeted us kindly and provided excellent service throughout. We ordered hummus, mutabbal, and tabbouleh—all flavorful and fresh. The welcoming atmosphere and attentive staff made our visit enjoyable. It is nice for a relaxed and satisfying dining experience.

21/08/2025: The staff at Gastof Kohlern made us feel like we were the only guests on site. They were a attentive, kind, and truly built a relationship from the moment we checked in. The views from the property are unmatched. You can see the entire Bolzano city and valleys beyond. Looking at the mountainside with vineyards and villages from our balcony was like looking at a painting! Incredibly peaceful after a day of hiking. You will not get this view from Ortisei or Brixen, I can guarantee that! From the coursed dinners, to the thoughtful interiors, to the relaxing treatment from Nadine, this hotel checked all the boxes. The owners of this hotel are present and put so much care to your experience. They went above and beyond. Thank you Natalie, Josef and our new friends in the Dolomites!

19/08/2025: We discovered this inn through "My Local, Your Local." Since we're currently on vacation in South Tyrol, we didn't want to miss the opportunity to visit. The food was delicious and the service very attentive and friendly. We would give it 10 out of 10 stars ⭐️.

27/09/2025: It’s a small but charming place, with a wide variety of products that all look truly spectacular. Everything has that homemade touch that makes the difference, and the croissants are simply delicious. We ordered 5 croissants for a total of €7, an excellent value for money.

11/07/2025: What a surprise: I hadn't heard of La Scarpetta, but four of us decided to try it for lunch. The menu is Roman-style, so we ordered a gricia, a carbonara, a cacio e pepe, and a spaghettone al pesto. The portions were just right, the ingredients were top-notch (guanciale for the gricia and carbonara), the pasta was perfectly cooked, and the presentation was in keeping with the menu and location. Being close to Bolzano Airport doesn't bother us at all. The owner, Andrea, is a chef and mainly takes care of the first courses, as does his partner, Adriana, who takes care of the second courses. Both are also dedicated to service. They are two enthusiastic and hard-working young people who also try to offer themed evenings, such as Sardinian cuisine or a seafood evening featuring a 1 kg lobster per person. The prices are more than fair, like Andrea and Adriana. I almost forgot: a dessert of chocolate mousse with chili pepper and two affogato to round out the lunch. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!

20/08/2025: I give it a full rating because it's a unique place with a passion and positive energy that shines through in the food served and in every detail of the restaurant. The main menu is the vegan, almost raw, one (soup plus a mixed platter, which I've shown in the photo), but there are variations and even a few small fish. A nice carafe of good tea accompanies the food.

28/09/2025: An excellent experience (with a star rating): a beautiful venue, excellent food in terms of preparation, balance, and presentation, and above all, trust Iulia (maître d' and sommelier), who is 25 years old and—in terms of skill, experience, and manner—seems twice as old: when she suggests a wine pairing, let her do the rest. Amazing.

10/09/2025: What an unforgettable experience! It's tough to say which dish was my favorite, but every detail of the meal was absolutely perfect. I was on a solo travel trip, and the staff here made me feel as if I were a regular. The sommelier, Vittorio Sofia, developed a fantastic wine pairing to go along with each of my dishes. He also spent time speaking with me about the wines and why they worked with each of the dishes. For the meal, Chef Filippo Sinisgalli truly uses the flavors of the region to create a meal unlike anything else. Each course brought a new and different flavor that left me excited for the next course. I will say, the saffron risotto with calf sweetbreads is something I will be dreaming about for years to come. I cannot wait to come back soon, what a wonderful experience!

The women who run the place are friendly and welcoming, and they also offer plenty of advice on what to order and how to pair the sauces. The place is decorated to make it feel like a mix of an aesthetic café and an authentic Colombian bar. Simply perfect. ❤️ We'll be back very often.
